Betrayal
Gazing at her, his voice almost broke as he said, “Your mother is in a hospital. Her pregnancy is at risk.”
It took a minute for her to process it, just standing there as the wind picked up a breeze. She blinked until it dawned on her. “W-What? Tell me again, Felix.”
“Your mother, Aurora. Her pregnancy is at risk so your dad took her to the hospital. It has been three days and she told me to get you. She needs you there. You need to get back as soon as possible.” Felix explained further.

She felt like a thorn was inside her heart, a brick hitting her face first. While she’s enjoying herself here, her mother is out there suffering!
She inhaled and exhaled, trying to calm her nerves but she felt like panicking. It’s not like her mother is dying but she’s in pain and needs someone. She only has her father there and when her mother needs her the most, she’s nowhere in sight.
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” She yelled at Felix.
He looked down, not able to meet her eyes, “I did, I really did try to find you sooner, Aurora. But I had trouble finding you, because of this stupid bastard.” He threw daggers in Reagan's direction. “I’m sorry, that’s why we need to hurry now.”
Felix pointed at the helicopter that was still flying from on top of them and the wind was so harsh that Reagan went inside for a few seconds before reappearing with a coat on his hands. He put it on her shoulders as she’s still in no clothing except the towel and underwear underneath her.
Aurora faced Reagan and hesitantly asked, “You heard what he said right?”
Reagan nodded, “Yes, I am sorry…you can go with him now.”
She tried to read his expression but he’s a master of hiding his emotions so well. “But what about-”
“If you’re thinking about me, don’t. As Felix said, I only kidnapped you here so it’s right that you should return now.” He said expressionlessly. His tone was monotonous and stiff and although he said she has to leave, it feels like it was not what he was feeling right now.

She thought about it and developed an idea, “How about you come with us-”
Felix gave her a look and shook his head, “I advise you Reagan not to show your face, I already told Aurora’s parents about your situation.” he said, “And your parents too. Aren’t you ignoring your mother’s calls?”
Aurora blinked at that, “We don’t have a signal here., Felix. How could he answer-”
Felix looked at her innocently, “Oh? He lied to you?” He pulled out his phone and showed her the three bars of signal, “I can even text a message to your parents now.”
She rolled her eyes, “Okay I get it, Felix, no need to rub it in my face.” Turning to Reagan, she looked at him angrily. She’s not even sure what to express anymore but she felt so angry at how Reagan just lied to her like that.
She saw it herself that her phone didn’t have any signal, only to know he lied to her?
Suddenly, she felt a hollow feeling settling inside her stomach.
She wanted to yell at him, to scream at him all bad things until her voice ran out. She felt used and lied to, treated like a damn bastard. “How-Reagan…why?” She asked helplessly, and couldn't even mutter the words she wanted successfully.

Reagan was not even looking at her, instead, he focused his gaze on the wall behind her, treating her as if she were not a person. “I’m sorry, I figured I need to do that do not make you panic.”
“Wow. You could have just told me, Reagan. Why lie about it? Don’t tell me that’s not the only thing you lied to me about?”She asked, her voice shaking and her legs trembling. If it wasn’t for Felix helping her stand, she would have been on the ground by now, looking helpless.
“You hated me to the core that time, Aurora.” Was his response now, call her by her name instead of the usual “princess”
Aurora closed her eyes, gritting her teeth, “You played with my feelings.”
He shook his head, wanting to save himself but it was too late now. “I didn’t, I just didn’t have a choice but to lie about the signal.”
Aurora felt a tear sliding in her cheeks as she continued, fighting the urge to break down in front of him, “Tell me, what was really betwen us? You made me feel special, damn special Reagan.”
As this, Reagan faced her and said without any emotion, “That was nothing. Didn’t I say I wanted to make you fall in love with me again?”
