Where home is
She just looked at the window, “I don’t know. I’m not sure anymore…I guess I’ll try to fix all of this first and go with the flow.”
He nodded, “Sounds like a plan.”
And Aurora fell asleep on Felix’s shoulder on their way home, feeling tiredness taking a toll on her.
Aurora felt a soft nudging of someone on her shoulder and she was woken up by that.
She opened her eyes to see Felix’s face too close to her.
“I’ve been waking you up for an hour now. Really, what did Reagan do to make you this tired? He didn’t let you sleep and just tortured you right?”
“I’ve been waking you up for an hour now. Really, what did Reagan do to make you this tired? He didn’t let you sleep and just tortured you right?”
Aurora sat upright, rubbing her face to wake herself up and choosing not to answer his question. Trust me, Felix, you don’t want to know what really happened and all the things that Reagan did to her…
She looked around, noticing the helicopter had already landed and their pilot, Uncle Wave, was already outside.
“Where are we?” She asked Felix and Felix sat upright.
“Home.” He answered simply as he offered his hands to help her get up.
Smiling, she accepted it and there was already a black BMW waiting for them. They bid their goodbyes to Uncle Wave, their pilot and the two of them got into the car.
They rode in silence and it took an hour to get to the province side and to their house.
There was no one home in their house so all she did first was take a shower to cleanse herself and get ready. Felix disappeared for a minute and came back to the living room, letting her do her thing.
She grabbed a pair of jeans and her pink shirt and got out as Felix drove her to the hospital.
Felix handed a box to her as he drove, saying, “You don’t have a phone now right?”
She nodded, a bit confused.
“Then I bought you one, save my number there first,” he said so casually and Aurora nodded, smiling at him.
“I’m really grateful I have you as my best friend, Felix, really, thank you.” She said, grabbing the box and opening it to reveal the latest model of the phone.

“You know I’m your homey, I’ll just be here when you need me, Aurora.” He said with a small smile, “And I know Uncle Aiden will get angry if he knows you just dumped your whole things to the ocean.”
Her eyes widened at that, “Oh, I haven’t thought about that. What should I tell them, Felix?” She asked, “I mean, my mom will worry more if she hears it, goodness!”
“Chill, your parents will understand.” He comforted her. “Well, your dad is ready with his gun in case he sees Reagan..”
“Chill, your parents will understand.” He comforted her. “Well, your dad is ready with his gun in case he sees Reagan..”
They both laughed at that. Inside Aurora, she feels uneasy and nervous for some reason…
It took a thirty-minute ride to the hospital and they both walked in, with her following Felix. They stopped by at the private ward of room 236 and she heaved a deep breath before opening it.
She was greeted with the sight of her father laying by the bed sleeping with her mother besides.
She glanced at Felix and Felix shrugged before leaving them alone.
She gave him a look of asking for help and not wanting to be left alone but Felix was already outside.
Sighing, she stood firmly and faced them.
She cleared her throat loudly to get their attention and instantly, her father woke up and sat upright at the sight of her.
“Oh, my daughter! I’m so glad you’re back!” He yelled and Aurora shushed her father, afraid his wife would wake up.
“Oh, my daughter! I’m so glad you’re back!” He yelled and Aurora shushed her father, afraid his wife would wake up.
Her father let out a nervous glance at his wife and sighed in relief when she didn’t bulge in her sleep.
Her father then turned to her and hugged her. “You have to tell me everything that happened to you, my dear daughter, or I’ll blow up that Reagan kid I swear!” He whispered, his tone serious but Aurora knew he was just his usual self, joking.
“Forget about that dad, but how’s mom?” She asked, not wanting to be put under interrogation the first thing she saw them.
She could see the dark bags under his eyes, a proof of his lack of sleep, “She’s still at the monitor and the doctor asked us to stay here for three days to check again.” He replied sadly.
Aurora nodded, feeling the guilt eating her as she stared at her mother’s sleeping figure. “I’m sorry for not being here, dad.”
“Oh it’s not your fault, it’s that damn Phoenix’s child's fault but we’ll have to deal with that later. For now, let’s focus on your mom’s health and be there to support her.”

She nodded. Damn, why did she even feel nervous to see them when her father is this understanding?
Then she thought about the Makarov corp. If her dad has been absent for days there, then damn.
“How about your company dad?” She questioned and he shrugged.
“I let my sister, your Aunt Sasha, manage it for a while.” He answered, “Don’t worry about that.”
And after a while of talking with her dad, her mother stirred in her sleep and woke up. She slowly stared at Aurora and her eyes widened.
“Aurora? Am I not dreaming?”
Her father held her mother’s hand with a big smile on his face, “No, dear. It’s real, Aurora is here.”
She blinked and sat upright, “Why didn’t you wake me up?”
Aurora chuckled, caressing her mother’s cheeks, “You need to get a lot of rest and we don’t want to disturb your beauty rest, mom.”
Her mother, Isleen, just laughed at that, lightly hitting her arm. “I’m glad you’re here safe and sound..” A single teardrop fell in her eyes, “I couldn’t sleep for the whole week thinking about how the enemy might have got you from Reagan and-”

Aurora wiped it, “Relax, mom, I’ll just be here and I won’t leave.” She said, “Now take care of yourself and my sibling in your child. I’m excited to have a sibling mom.”
Isleen laughed, “Yeah, my daughter. We know it haha.”
The three of them laughed, and Aurora felt her heart calming and relieved now seeing her parents in good shape and laughing with her. It feels like she’s back home…
