Persistent
He looked at her sadly, still persistent in asking for her forgiveness. “I just want you to spare a second and give me time to talk, to explain my side. Please? Just hear me out and I’ll stop bugging you.” He said, looking sincere. Aurora is not even sure if he’s true to her words. She had enough of him.
She gritted her teeth, “I don’t know if you’re really sincere, but if you really are, then try to gain my trust first, and then we could talk..” She said, walking away from him.
Reagan’s eyes brightened at that, brimming with hope now, “I won’t fail you then! ” She heard him yelling against the loud music and Aurora just rolled her eyes, going to the exit as she lost appetite the moment Reagan just showed up out of nowhere.
The past must be buried. There is no way she would get back with that bastard again. No way in hell. Seeing him again reminds her of the past her she was young and stupid. Not anymore.
She hailed a cab as she couldn’t drive in this state, also since she's from another country and doesn't have her car with her. As she was on her way to her hotel room, she dropped onto her mattress, feeling wasted. Aurora didn’t notice how she fell asleep after that night. She woke up fully sober, except for the little headache she could feel from the tequila she had last night at the club, if it wasn’t for that damn stranger named Ian disrespecting her as a woman and Reagan coming to pretend to be a hero and save her.
She stood up to prepare for the day, wanting to get some groceries as she wanted to stay for a few days before leaving. When she was fully dressed up in her frilly blue dress, she walked to the door, making sure to lock it when she noticed something outside her door.

A letter and a red suitcase that she was familiar with. This was the…suitcase she used from the yacht with Reagan…how did this get here?
She could remember throwing this in the ocean, but it’s right here in front of her, completely dry and all…
Beside it was a handwritten letter and she read it.
“Here are your things. I swam the ocean to get it and want to return it to you. Couldn’t save your phone though…”
Aurora stopped, not sure how to feel about this. She doesn’t have to guess that it’s Reagan who sent it…
She blinked, looking around the hall if there was anyone before going back to her hotel room to open the suitcase.
The question is, how did Reagan even know where she was staying?
It was both creepy knowing he just pulled another string of his connection. She hadn’t told anyone, not even Felix…
She felt something inside her stomach churning, not wanting to leave the hotel room now. Maybe Reagan was waiting for her outside or something? Since he was so desperate last time.
Drawing a heavy breath, she wanted to be strong and face this so Aurora stood up and left the hotel, carefully eyeing and wary of her surroundings. If she sees him by the door, she’ll definitely leave.
Aurora quickly walked to hail a cab and went to eat breakfast first in a fast-food chain. She ordered some burgers and fries with matching soft drinks and ate fast and went to the grocery store to get her stuff in just an hour before going back to her hotel room. She felt relieved knowing Reagan was nowhere in sight. Good. Everything is clear.
Just then, she felt her phone ringing and it was Felix, her best friend, calling her. She instantly answered it and greeted enthusiastically, “Hey, you called?”
“Hey, how’s life, Aurora?” Felix asked with his usual tone. It has been a while since he called..
“I’m good, why did you just call me now? You seem to forget your own best friend.” She said with a pout, wanting to make him feel guilty.

“Hey, I was busy with stuff okay? haha! Anyways, have you seen my post on social media?” he asked all of a sudden.
Aurora shook her head, “No, why? I don’t even open my phone except when I answer calls.”
Felix chuckled, “You haven’t changed, aren’t you? Well, I just asked because I want you to meet someone.”
Aurora blinked, “Oh, why? Who is that?”
“Shh, I won’t tell anything, I know you’re in Russia, just in luck since I’m also here so let’s meet at the coffee shop, I'll text the address.”
Aurora huffed, “Really, Felix, stop with the surprise, what is that?” She felt a bit nervous for some reason with this sudden plan of his.
“No need to get nervous, just show up later three in the afternoon alright? It’s my treat.”
She sighed, “Fine fine, I’ll come later,” And with that, the call ended. She wondered what he was up to, who this someone but it was just Felix being him.

Felix later sent a text of the address where they’ll meet, just around town so she decided to stay by the park and read a book just to pass time since it’s near three in the afternoon.”
As the time neared their meeting time, she stood up and went to the address. Felix wasn’t there yet so she decided to order a coffee latte, it’s him paying anyways. As much as she has the money, she just loves freebies and spending knowing it’s her friends.
Just then, the door opened and she spotted Felix entering the shop with someone behind him. It was a girl, wearing some baggy hoodie and bucket hat covering almost her face. Felix’s eyes lit up as soon as he saw her so they approached her.
“Aurora! It has been a while!” He exclaimed happily.
Aurora nodded, smiling at him, “Yes it has, now seat, and tell me what you wanted to tell, I’ve been dying to know!”
Felix nodded, seated across her, and made the girl behind him sit beside him. He cleared his throat and faced Aurora.
“Well, I’ve been wanting to meet you now because I want to introduce you to this lovely woman beside me.” He said, smiling at the woman beside him. “Aurora, meet Vivienne Rose, my girlfriend…”

The woman was wearing a bucket hat to hide the upper part of the face and when she removed it, Aurora gasped.
As far as she could remember, this woman is Reagan’s…ex? Why the hell is this woman in front of her, sitting beside her best friend and claiming to be his girlfriend? And why the hell does things from the past keep on appearing? First Reagan, and now his ex?
