Problem of all the Alphas

Grace’s POV

“Who said that?”, Allison's voice boomed this time. “Those who wants Grace as dead can come upfront.”, she added and a few of the wolves and men came out of the crowd. Before she could have said anything, out of nowhere I saw a man keeping his hand on Allison’s waist and bringing her close.

The color of Sarah’s face and many of the people fell down.

“Elizah and Theo, kill them.”, Eric ordered.

“Eric, please no!...”, I quickly replied. I didn’t want him to kill anyone because of me.

“Disrespecting you means disrespecting Alpha, and I should not be deserving this position if I will let that happen.”, he said and then looked at Sarah. “You will be staying in the dungeon until Alpha’s all good.”

“What? No”, Sarah shouted but she was too late to observe that two men had already been standing behind her. “Eric…!”, she shouted again. “Have you lost your mind? Zayden needs to be kept safe from her, not me.”, she kept repeating it again and again until her voice became inaudible.

“Thank god she left! She’s so loud. I thought blood will start coming from my ears anytime soon.”, The man holding Allison’s waist said.

I had seen him somewhere.

But where?

Oh yes! He was the same man from the club who was about to kiss Allison on the dance floor.

But what was he doing here?

“Hello, Alpha Craig.”, Eric said, bowing his head a little on which he hummed in response.

‘Oh! So he is Alpha Craig Potter. I remember Allison was going to meet him for the first time on Zayden’s birthday night. Does she know who he actually is on that night?’, I thought but didn’t ask it at that moment.

“I wish we would have met in other circumstances, Luna Grace.”, Finally he spoke and looked at me. I didn’t know why I started comparing him and Zayden. Or maybe because they both were Alphas? He had worn a grey three-piece suit which was something which Zayden had never worn. He was a bit taller and more muscular than Zayden but...but Zayden was fairer than him and looked cute.

“Welcome to our pack, Alpha Craig.”, I said, giving him a weak smile. I just hoped I had said the right words because I remembered pack members saying the same when I had arrived here.

“Grace, let’s go inside.”, Allison said, I weakly walked inside. All the confidence, and the mantras which I kept chanting in my mind to stay strong left from my body after the recent incident.

“I don’t know whether you know about it or not but Alpha Zayden had given his words to get this wedding done as soon as possible.”, Alpha Craig said bluntly when we all settled down in Zayden's office. I didn’t know what to say because I was totally clueless about it. “I want the wedding to happen by the end of the next month.”

“But Zayden..”

“I know about his situation and trust me, it will take him hardly three to weeks to get back on his feet.”, he interrupted him in between.

I might sound judgemental but I found him rude, arrogant, and heartless.

“I am sorry, Alpha Craig but I need some time to think before making any decision.”, I politely denied his idea of getting married as soon as possible.

He stood up from the couch and straightened his suit before speaking, “Sure. I hope to see you soon, Luna Grace. And just sharing a little piece of advice, ‘be kind and generous but don’t let your kindness be your weakness.”, he said and turned his gaze toward Allison. “Take care of yourself, Ms. Staunton.”

“You too”, Allison whispered, smiling ear to ear for no reason.

Once Alpha Craig left, Eric followed him and I raised my eyebrow looking at Allison.

“It’s not like that.”, She started explaining, it looked like she already knew what I was thinking! “I literally didn’t know that the guy in the club was Alpha Craig. I felt so embarrassed of myself when I figured it out on our first meeting.”, She muttered, shaking her head.

“I found him a bit rude.”, I said genuinely.

“I guess that is the problem of all the Alphas. Have you ever seen how rude my brother behaves with others?”, she asked, defending him, and immediately the smile which was on my lips until a moment back fell.
