Beatrix's confession
RIX's P.O.V.
Harley was fuming, he ran into Cartier’s family company. Well, it wasn't that far from the retail store I'm buying from.
Damn! I almost forgot how mad he could become!
"HARLEY, STOP!" I shouted, but I found it hard to catch up with him.
"Gosh. HARLEY! STOP, PLEASE!"
But he won't listen.
He kept on running, and he was now at the gate!
"Mr. Guard, could you help me with this?" I asked, pertaining to the papers I'm holding.
He nodded and took all of them from me.
I told him to just hold it for me and I will get back to him once I finished fixing the fucking mess that is about to happen.
“Where’s Apollo’s desk?” he asked at the front desk.
The front desk manager, Sheila, was shocked. For the first time, someone budged in.
"Sir, do you have an appointment with Mr. Cartier?"
Harley bangs the desk.
"TELL ME WHERE THE FUCK HE IS!"
"HARLEY!" I shouted. "Don't start a scene here, please!" I said, pulling his arm. I can feel my voice cracking.
But he just threw away my hand.
I hate this.
I was looking down as I felt bunches of employees eyeing me.
"Sir, as much as I wanted to give you a favor, this isn't the right time for a walk-in. There'll be a bigger event that is about to happen 15 minutes from now."
"OH SHOOT! I almost forgot!"
I didn't mind Harley.
As long as he doesn't know where Apollo's office is, nothing's going to happen.
Right?
I went to the guard house and took the papers and supplies I rested in, to fly into the office of the rude punk Apollo.
"Here's the—"
"WHY ARE YOU LATE?!" he shouted.
Jeez, another set of shouts.
"There's something that—"
I couldn't speak because I heard loud footsteps coming behind me.
I had to look.
It was Harley.
Harley saw Apollo sitting alone in his office.
He walked in and saw the mischief in Apollo's eyes, and he immediately knew that something was wrong.
"What did you do to Beatrix?" he demanded, his voice filled with anger.
Darn, it.
Apollo grinned, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "I didn't do anything. I just played a little prank on her, that's all. Also, this is her job. It's up to me whatever I want to do to her."
I felt a wave of emotions running over my chest.
Why…
Harley's face turned red with rage. "How could you do that to her? She's going through a tough time, and you're just making it worse."
Apollo's smile faded, his expression turning serious. "Do you think I care?"
Ouch…
Why did I ever assume?
Harley shook his head, he couldn't take it anymore.
He didn't waste a single second attacking Apollo.
He was punching him until Apollo lay down on the ground.
I get in between to stop the fucking war… while tears gradually increase as they streamed down my face.
People are starting to whisper.
10 mins…
I know the investors are about to come. I mean, they were already here, in a separate room.
I'm sure, someone from their assistants had already reported this incident.
Harley stopped when I sat on top of Apollo and was planning to receive a punch.
"Rix, please, get down," said Harley.
"You're causing a scene. Get out."
"Rix—"
"You heard me right. I said get out. Let's meet at the convenience store later."
He was having a hard time going, every step was heavy, but he managed to go.
I closed the door and helped Apollo up.
"I apologize for this matter, Mr. Cartier."
He didn't respond.
Instead, he dialed his assistant.
"Cancel the meeting. Rearrange it into 6:00 pm."
I knelt down in front of him after he was done talking to his assistant.
"I'm sorry, Apollo."
"Come here," he said, gently. "Sit down in front of me."
I was confused… What does he want to do?
I still sat down, just as he wished, but with furrowed brows.
It was a swivel chair. So as soon as I sat down, Apollo slid it towards him, until our faces were inches away.
"Is that true?" he asked.
I was confused.
"Did you have a hard time on the way here?" he asked.
I looked away.
"Mr. Cartier—"
"Apollo. Call me my name."
"Fine. Apollo, you don't have to care for me," I said, looking down.
"Do you have control over my feelings? Why do you have to decide for me? I just wanted to know. Tell me. Did you really have a hard time?" he asked.
"Apollo, please—"
"What, please? Is that an answer?"
"Well, uhm, you're giving me false hopes. Maybe this is nothing for you but this is too much for me," I said.
"Too much what?" he asked, furrowing his brows.
"This is insane, but this, the way you're acting like this— you're making me like you."
"What?"
"Yes, I don't know how. But it did! And it's growing uncontrollably. I know that part of our agreement is not to fall in love with each other, and I broke it."
"So what do you want me to do?" he asked.
His face is getting closer to me.
I can feel his hands traveling over my hands, through my arm.
I held his hands too and slid the chair close to him.
I sat on his lap, and he was shocked! But he can't do anything.
"Just stop caring for me. Please stop it 'cause I'm getting the wrong idea," I said, almost drunk in words, drunk in lust.
I started moving slowly, and those cock hardened.
His hands are now on my butt, and he's biting his lower lip.
"How is that supposed to do with me?" he said. "It's your problem to get the wrong idea. So you have to work on yourself and on your mindset. I have nothing to do with that."
"I can't believe we're talking seriously while doing—"
"Shush," I said, sliding my finger to his lips.
"I know it's my fault. All I'm asking is to stop showing interest in me. Because see? I was just getting the wrong idea! I know that if someone else cared for me, I wouldn't feel anything. There wouldn't be the feeling of care, there wouldn't be any malice with whatever they will do to me. But when it comes to you, I hate it! I fucking hate it!"
I opened my panties, and his zipper welcomed his cock.
I whispered, "I want them inside me."
He breathed heavily.
"Don't hate me just because you like me," he said, under the intoxication of lust."
"Because I like you and the way you act or care for me just helps to increase my feelings. So stop it."
He carried me, made me lean on the table, as he entered inside me.
It was so fucking gentle… How can I resist this?
He then pulled my hair as he moved in and out.
"Please…" I moaned.
He moved closer to my face and slid his thumb to my mouth.
He then licked it.
Apollo kissed my neck.
Can't help but moan!
"Just keep on liking me. It doesn't matter."
—
I cleaned the wounds that he got from Harley. While I'm cleaning those, he was just looking at me nonchalantly and we were not talking.
I can see his face. He locked his gaze upon me and he's not doing anything about it.
After I cleaned his wounds, I walked away.
And I remember that I told Harley to meet with me at the convenience store so I went there.
I thought he was gone but he was still there.
I went inside, bought some drinks and food, and gave him the first set.
I'm sitting beside him, while I was preoccupied, thinking about the sex I just had with Apollo.
His last words before we had sex is lingering in my mind. How could I not? He’s so good at making me think of him.

3rd P.OV.
Apollo was seething with anger as he watched Beatrix and Harley talk and laugh together. He had seen them together more often lately, and it made his blood boil. He was jealous of Harley and everything that Beatrix did anger him.
"What's so funny?" Apollo asked, walking up to them.
Beatrix rolled her eyes. "Nothing that concerns you."
Harley stood up and faced Apollo. "You need to chill, man. She's not your property."
Apollo's eyes flashed with anger. "Watch your mouth, Harley."
Beatrix stepped in between them. "Guys, stop it. This isn't the time or the place to argue."
Apollo glared at Harley before turning to leave. "This isn't over," he muttered as he walked away.
Beatrix let out a sigh and leaned against Harley. "Thanks for having my back, Harley. I don't know what I would do without you."
Harley put his arm around her. "Anytime, Rix. You know I'm always here for you."
They sat there for a while, just talking about random things and enjoying each other's company. It was a nice change of pace from the drama and stress of their everyday lives.
As they were getting up to leave, they saw Apollo watching them from a distance. Beatrix tensed up, knowing that he was going to give her a hard time for this.
"I'll see you later, Harley," Beatrix said, giving him a quick hug before walking over to Apollo.
"What do you want?" she asked, trying to keep her tone even.
Apollo smirked. "Just wanted to let you know that I have a surprise for you later tonight."
Beatrix's heart sank. She knew that Apollo's surprises were never good. She could already tell that he was going to give her a really hard time. She just hoped that she would be able to handle whatever he had planned.

Apollo's P.O.V.
I walked into the family house with Rix, tired from a long day at work.
Ha… I've been exhausted lately.
Dad's been giving me a hard time.
"Wait for me in bed, I'll just take a bath," I said bluntly.
Beatrix nodded.
Am I being weird today?
I know it's not part of my plan to hurt her or act obsessed because I care for her.
But the way she managed to tell me everything that she feels, it sank me.
I don't know how to react.
I feel like she said everything that I've been keeping inside my chest.
The same way I kept on avoiding it, but for her, she was facing it.
But why?
For her feelings to quickly fade away?
The thought of it makes my blood boil.
How dare she loses her feelings for me?!
I know I'm still confused.
But there's no way she should erase it!
I wouldn't let her!
I quickly finished taking a bath 'cause I don't want to make Beatrix wait.
I expected Beatrix to be waiting for me, but instead, I found her asleep on the couch.
I smiled a bit.
She looks like an angel as she sleeps.
"Beatrix, wake up," I said, shaking her shoulder.
She groggily sat up and rubbed her eyes. "Sorry, I didn't hear you get out of the bathroom."
"You weren't supposed to go to work tonight, just to remind you," I reminded her sternly.
"I know, but I needed the money," she explained, standing up and stretching. "I didn't sign any contract about it, so technically, I didn't break any rules."
I sighed, knowing she had a point.
I didn't want her to risk her safety, but I also didn't want to control her.
"Just be careful," I warned before heading to bed.

The next morning, I surprised Beatrix by bringing in bags of laundry.
"I need you to wash this," I said, handing her a list of instructions. "It's for my family."
Beatrix was taken aback, not expecting to do laundry for my entire family.
But she nodded, accepting the task.
I smirked.
She bought it.
As she worked on the laundry, I went back to my room and had a nap.
When I woke up I went back to the bathroom.
I went to check on her progress.
But when I arrived, I saw that she wasn't there.
"Where is she?" I muttered, searching the villa.
I was going around, walking up and down, asking random people and such.
When I couldn't find her, I started to panic.
I rushed out of the building and drove to the club where she worked.
I barged into the dressing room, causing a commotion.
Never mind what people will think.
She's making my blood boil!
"Beatrix, what are you doing here?!" I demanded in a baritone voice, my eyes darting around the room.
Charis came over to us, a concerned look on her face. "What's going on, Apollo?"
"Beatrix was supposed to be doing laundry for my family, but she's not at home," I explained, my voice raised.
Beatrix spoke up, annoyed at my behavior. "I had to come in early to finish it because you gave me so much to do. I finished it all and came straight here afterward."
I felt embarrassed, realizing I had overreacted.
"You should have at least told me about it and did not leave!" I said, fuming, and pointing fingers at her.
She replied, "Do you think I didn't do that? Do you thi6 think I didn't think of that before I left? I left you a note, a text message, and a missed call. You were sleeping and I don't want to bother you."
She stopped for a while to breathe
She continued. "You were sleeping so deeply and I don't want to ruin your sleep. I know you're exhausted. I know you're tired, but here you are. As I was thinking of your welfare, you never thought of me."
I was about to apologize to her. I mean, I can kneel before her. I can do that!
But Harley came up. He stood before her. He was looking at me from head to toe, his gaze was like a tiger.
I did the same. I looked at him— I mean I glared at him.
I stood in front of Beatrix, clenching my fists.
I was trying my best to control my temper.
I didn't want to get angry at her, but the sight of Harley pulling her away was too much to handle.
"What is he doing here?" I asked, my voice dangerously low.
Beatrix looked up at me with a puzzled expression. "Who? Harley? He's just a friend," she replied, trying to calm me down. "He's not the subject here."
I scoffed. "Just a friend? He's been hanging around you a lot lately. I don't like it," I said, in a tone of possessiveness.
Beatrix rolled her eyes. "What do you want me to do? Stop seeing my friends?" she retorted.
Before I could reply, Harley stepped in. "Hey man, what's the problem? Beatrix is allowed to have friends, you know," he said, trying to diffuse the situation.
I turned to face him, my eyes blazing with fury.
Without warning, I swung my fist at Harley, hitting him square in the jaw.
Harley stumbled backward but quickly regained his footing.
He retaliated with a punch of his own, landing it right on my nose.
The two of us continued to exchange blows until Beatrix stepped in between us.
"Stop it, both of you!" she yelled, tears streaming down her face. "This isn't worth it!"
Harley nodded in agreement, while I took a step back, wiping the blood from my nose.
"You're right," I said, my voice calmer now. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have let my temper get the best of me."
Beatrix sighed, relieved that the fight was over. "Can we just forget about this and move on?" she asked.
No one is answering.
But the way she made the situation calmer is enough. silence is an answer too.
It's better to leave it this way.
