"You should tell me that I'll be meeting your mom."

"You're Marion Mills, as in the same last name. I should've known, that's why Winston looked familiar." Lou said looking at me, then back to mom.

"You've known each other?" I asked both of them.

"She's one of our biggest contributors Allen."

"Marion please..."

"No, Louise honey you always do this every time. I don't understand why, well maybe I do. But I told you already you need to put..."

"Marion...can we not talk about this right now."

"Oh! both of you are helpless, sometimes I just...okay Allen help me with the coffee, I'll set up the cakes. We're doing this once and for all. Both of you need to sit down and listen to me." She mumbled leaving Louise and myself, taken back by her words.

She shrugged at me when I raised an eyebrow, questioning her about my own mom.

Five minutes later I refilled our coffees with a fresh batch, while Louise was helping mom with the cake and cookies. We were sitting down when mom was passing the cake.

"So Allen, I've known Louise from one of our Charity Gala. She came up to me and handed me a very generous amount of check, and she made me swear not to reveal the amount to anyone. But I'd say it'll buy you a very nice home in the suburb. Yes Allen she's that loaded. I'm sorry honey, but you deserve only the best, and if my own son couldn't handle you... I don't want him breaking your heart."

Mom looked at her squeezing her hand. I could see that Louise was a bit teary, she quickly cleared her throat and blinked her eyes then smiled at her.

I was still shocked knowing this, she never appeared to be that loaded. And for someone to have that amount of money to give, she would have more than she let out. But why is she hiding it from me?

"Thank you, Marion, but I think I'm good with Allen at the moment. Right?"

She was asking me, knowing that I finally find out that she was hiding the fact that she's that rich. I still couldn't understand why.

"Yes. But can I ask why are you hiding the fact?"

"Allen..." mom said warning me.

"I guess it's the same when you hide the fact that you're a professional surfer and a millionaire, maybe even a billionaire. I don't bother myself with one's net worth." She replied sounding a bit sarcastic, mom was staying quiet. Obviously not wanting to get involved, but I could see that she was surprised knowing that I was hiding that fact.

"Right, sorry I just thought... okay we need another time to discuss that. I think we should set that issue for our next meet. So, mom...why didn't you think of her when you try to set me up with a woman?"

"Well... honestly Allen? I've thought about it, but then you've been a player for the longest time..." she paused to sip her coffee.

"...and I honestly think that she deserves the best." She actually smiled at her sincerely.

Damn. Her own son.

"Oh, Marion." She finally got up and gave mom another hug and she was actually shedding her tears in her arms.

"Mom, Lou...is there something I should know about?" I asked looking like there was really something that they were not sharing with me.

"She will tell you about it when she's ready. In the meantime, please be good to her. Or I will hunt you down myself." Mom said making Louise laugh at her.

We talk for another hour until she told me that she has another appointment for dinner and have to get ready before that. She said goodbye, but not before she warned me not to hurt Louise.

"I meant it, Louise, you have my number. Just call me when he misbehaved and I'll slap some sense into him." She hugged her lovingly then kissed her cheek.

"I can't believe I'm actually jealous of my own girlfriend. Seriously, mom, I'm your son here." I crossed my arms to my chest feeling a bit left out.

She finally let Louise go and hugged me too, then leave us after another goodbye.

"So, that was unexpected...."

"Yeah, I never would've guessed that she's your mom. She's really nice and humble." She was starting to tease me, trailing her hands to my chest.

"You have a lot of explaining to do my love..." I cupped her face and kiss her sweet lips, which have been teasing me for the last hour.

"Mm...hmm..." she smirked while her hand crept up to my shoulder and pulled me down to kiss her, then I groaned when she pushed me down to the couch.
