Chapter Thirty Eight- The Devil She Doesn't Know Part Nine
"You are even more beautiful than I remember." His voice. His voice was something else. The depth of it could silence the ocean, it propelled me into another dimension. I was ready to resign my entire existence over to him and worship him until my very last days.

His presence was robustly beguiling. I was enthralled and taken away by his irresistible enchantment.
For a few seconds my arms dangled from his shoulders, and I just gaped. I was awestruck, enthralled by his majestic, regal, yet beastly beauty. The man was breathtakingly gorgeous, almost to the elevation of the Devil. His iridescent eyes were sharp and bright, yet glazed with this darkness that seemed to stem from his soul. They were just as dead as the Devil's, but he was not entirely emotionless as he gazed at me. We looked into each other's eyes, my chest heaving and dropping slowly to the slow- paced rhythm of my heart and I observed his increasing fascination, he looked to be almost mesmerised by me as well. A smirk adorned his handsome face as I moved my lips repeatedly in an attempt to say something. I opened my mouth, not even the faintest of sounds coming out, it was as though I was drunk on his beauty and trapped in a daze.
His face was already too close to mine, and when he inched in, I panicked, thinking he was about to kiss me and I drew my head back, finally breaking free of his enchantment. I only shifted my body subtly and he got the hint that I wanted out of his arms and lowered me to the ground. I was instantly intimidated by his hulking, imposing build, he easily towered over my five feet seven inches frame and soused me with his domineering, stupefying aura. I wanted to thank him for saving me, then get his name, but for a moment I was dumbfounded and did not know how to address him. He exuded such a fiercely noble aura, that I could not doubt his eminence. Without a doubt, he was not part of the staff. This man at least had to hold second rank sovereignty. He did not look to be from this world.
"Thank you, my lord, you caught me right on time." My voice wavered and I was discernably flushed, anyone with a good pair of eyes would have been able to tell that I was fawning over him. Heat dispersed to my cheeks and I lost the ability to draw in adequate drafts of air when his large hand engulfed mine and he closed every tiny bit of distance that had separated us. My body tingled all over as his clothed body brushed into mine and I acknowledged just how intimate this moment was. His eyes seemed to darken and take a deeper hue as he gazed at my face with deep concentration, as though he was watching an enigma unfold.
His cold fingers came in contact with my skin and as unnaturally cold as they were, those caressing strokes he graced my cheek with, burned my flesh in the most pleasurable way. I can confidently say he had literally taken my breath away, I doubt I was breathing in the wake of the merciless flurry he had introduced. I stood as still as a statue, I could not react to his tantalizing touch with neither actions or words. His icy fingers traced my jaw before they clipped my chin and he tilted my head up.
"You are even more beautiful than I remember." His voice. His voice was something else. The depth of it could silence the ocean, it propelled me into another dimension. I was ready to resign my entire existence over to him and worship him until my last days. Before I could even ask him how he knows me, he was abruptly ripped from me, by a very impertinent looking sovereign ruler of Hell.
The mystery man only stumbled back before quickly composing himself and tugging at the flaps of his black blazer as though to fix it onto his shoulder, while in reality it was a flex of annoyance. The Devil looked the most rankled I have ever seen him as he glared daggers at the man like he was restraining himself from pouncing on him like a ferocious predator and skinning him alive.
"Cassien!" The Devil's thunderous voive was saturated with contempt and venomous rage as he addressed the man like he was the most vexing thing in the universe. "What did I tell you?! Don't you ever touch her again!" He warned and I was left staring on, the most consternated I have ever been.
So he is the Cassien who had set him off the other night and ruined his mood so much, he rejected me after I practically begged him to do as he pleases with me.
Cassien scoffed at his words, a lofty attitude to him as he smirked without an ounce of care. I was very shocked by his carefree demeanour, I have never encountered any being gutsy enough to laugh at the Devil and take his warning lightly.
"Again, jealousy is not a good look on you, Levy. I will touch her as I please, I have every right. I see you have not marked her, yet, that means she is still mine, as much as she is yours."
A deadly look was set in the Devil's eyes as he took a single step towards a smirking Cassien and the two beastly men stared each other down, goading a fierce reaction from each other. I felt as though the layers of my skin were depleting and my insides were shrinking into my bones, as I soaked in the dense tension, holding my breath. I could already taste the potency of blood on my tongue. Cassien was just as tall as the Devil, physically they were equally matched, Cassien did not spare even a morsel of fear for the Devil and his fearless spirit and the Devil's boiling hot temper, provided a perfect, fertile ground for the germination of grisly, bloody war.
I prayed endlessly for a distraction to usher itself in and disseminate the suffocating animosity because I could not do anything to keep them from fighting.
The Devil clenched his jaw, looking extremely sexy as he hewed Cassien to pieces with the most mordant glare. His eyes were a deep red, monster mode was on and that incited the least sensible reaction out of me. It was a pleasure to watch him in his deadliest state, just as it was frightening and torturous.
"You thought I wouldn't find out that you found her? Look at you, you are intimidated by me, admit it." Cassien teased, clearly extracting heaps of pleasure from seeing the Devil riled up.
"You are delusional if you think you stand a chance, brother." The Devil hissed sibilantly and my mind was left in disarray.
The Devil has a brother! I have an uncle! And he is just as hot as the Devil and has a perplexing, strange fascination with me as well.
"She is mine and only mine. I am going to mark her, you just wait and see-" Cassien cut him off before he could finish.
"Well, you seem to forget that history says otherwise. Since you are so confident that she is yours, why don't we let her decide who she wants to be her first?" His extraterrestrial eyes went to me and pierced into my own. "What do you say, Marosa?"

Author's Note: Hello my beautiful souls! Thank you for reading and making it this far. Unfortunately I am in the hardest academic year of my life, my first college graduation is upon me and school work is literally suffocating me. I struggle immensely to find the time to write with heaps of assignments, tests and exams constantly breathing down my neck. I am sure you have noticed that the chapters are full of errors and not of the best qualities and I am terribly sorry about that. I value my readers very much and only want to give you work of the best quality, but I am under a lot of stress and strain. I have even considered quitting being a writer because I do not have time to devote to writing. I do not like the fact that I only write late at night, when I'm exhausted as Hell, half- dead and don't even know what I am thinking. But unfortunately that is the only thing that works for me currently, if I tried to find any other time, it would take me months to make any uploads.
Please forgive the spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and omissions, I cannot edit chapter by chapter. I will only be able to do some editing once the book is complete.
I do not have a clear update schedule, but from this week onwards, I will try to upload at least three chapters every week instead of uploading once in three weeks like I have been doing. Please bear with me and have patience, I am trying my very best despite my circumstances. Your support means so much to me, in all forms; every comment, like, vote and coin you spend on me motivates me to keep writing and share this story with you, more than words can describe. When I first started writing this book, I did not think anyone would be interested in reading it, let alone in spending money on it, so I can safely say that your support continues to come as a shock to me. Please keep supporting me, each coin, vote and comment makes a difference and is very much appreciated.
