Epilogue

Ashton

It was exactly seven in the evening, we were inside Zie's car and were already making our way to the club we were going to. I do not know but every time we are in the car we do not talk. I know it's weird but I think we're just comfortable just sitting with our body only a few inches away.

Moments later Zie suddenly turned on the stereo attached to his cellphone, my eyes widened looking at Zie as the song began. A very familiar song started to play.

"This is a Taylor Swift song, from her latest album, called folklore," I said surprised, Zie nodded and smiled at me while his eyes were still focused on the road.

"Ever since you force me to listen to her song 'Lover', I started listening to her songs, it wasn't so bad. Then I discovered that she just released an album and I bought it, listen to it, and I love it. Mirrorball is my favorite." He responded and I couldn't help but smile broadly at what he said.

"Mine is August and Seven." I smiled and closed my eyes to listen intently at the song playing on the stereo.

Taylor's songs are really soothing. I know that this song is not a love song and even though it's not a love song it still added to the romantic atmosphere inside the car. I looked at Zie's direction and immediately held out my hand to him, he raised an eyebrow at me but he got what I wanted to happen. He clasped our hands together, with his other hand holding the steering wheel.

When the song ended, the car stopped. When I look outside the window, my brows furrowed in confusion when I can only see darkness outside.

"Do you mind if I blindfold you?" Zie asked weakly but enough for me to hear.

"What? Why would you blindfold me?" I asked in astonishment.

"Don't worry baby, just trust me okay?" Zie said, his eyes full of different expressions.

I slowly nodded my head.

Zie smiled at me and immediately put the blindfold in my eyes. I could not see anything, I just heard the car door open and close.

Moments later I heard the door open again, "follow my lead, baby," Zie whispered and took my hands.

I slowly got out of the car. When we started walking I just held Zie's hand and obeyed his every command in which direction I would turn and if I had to move at a slower or faster pace, I kept wondering where we are and where he intended to take me.

"Here we are," Zie whispered again and slowly removed my blindfold.

"Wow!" I said in amazement as I looked around. We're back at the lake, the only difference now is that there is a table with candles and foods above on the side of the lake, there are flashing chimney lamps that serve as a light all around. The aura is so beautiful and so peaceful.

This is the kind of scene that I only watch in some romantic movies, where the male protagonist is preparing a surprise date for the female protagonist, very cliche yet romantic.

"Why are you doing this? I thought we were going to The Backdoor Club's anniversary party?" I asked in confusion, my heart is beating so fast.

"We'll go to the club later. Just think that this is our night. Stop thinking about other things, think about us tonight." Zie replied meaningfully.

"I've noticed lately that you become emo ha," I said jokingly and laughed. He just laughed too and motion me to follow him.

I think what they say is true, that time moves so fast when you are with the person you care about, time speeds up when you are happy. I didn’t even realize what happened next and we ended up eating.

When we're done eating the delicious delicacy he prepared, Zie suddenly stood up and walked towards me, my eyes widened as he suddenly knelt in front of me.

"W-What are you doing?" I asked nervously, my heart beating faster.

"Ashton, you've been with me for one and a half months, and for that one and a half months there was not a day that I wasn't happy, smiling even though there's a lot of problems I'm facing," Zie said seriously, I swallowed my saliva, I don't why he is telling me all these sweet words.

"These past few years, I did nothing but have sex with different men, I admit I enjoyed it but when you accidentally came into my life everything changed. Before, I did not want to go home to the penthouse because I knew only a deafening silence will welcome me, I always find another horny man on twitter to accompany me on a sad night. But then you came into my life, in an instant I wanted to go home to the penthouse to see your smiles, to hug you and cuddle with you. I am glad that no more deafening silence will greet me when I enter the penthouse. I don't know but I'm used to our set-up, I don't want the day to come when I go home to the penthouse and I can't hear your voice anymore. I'm scared baby, I don't want to lose you." He said with teary eyes.

I look at him in disbelief. Is this really happening to me? What if this is just a dream? Please! If this is just a dream then I forbid anyone to wake me up.

"Why are you saying this to me Zie?" I asked and touched his cheek, wiping the tears dripping from his eyes.

"I love you, Ashton."

I stopped what I was doing and looked at Zie in shock.

"W-What?" I asked even though I clearly heard everything he said. I don't want to believe him.

"I love you, Ashton. I love you so much." Zie repeated and tears welled up in his eyes again, he suddenly draws closer to me and hugged me tightly, sinking his face into my body.

I don't know but at these times I seem to have lost my voice even though I know the correct answer to what he said.

Zie slipped out of my embrace and faced me again.

"Will you be my boyfriend?" He asked, his face is full of hope. I swallowed hard and nodded softly. His eyes lit up and he smiled broadly.

"Yes?" He asked surprised.

"Yes." I nodded again and could not stop myself from crying with great joy.

"YES!" Zie shouted and touched my waist, he suddenly lifted my body so I quickly grabbed his shoulders.

"Fuck! I'm so happy right now. Thank you so much, baby." Zie said and lowered my body. He touched my face and slowly approached me.

I closed my eyes until I felt his lips stick to my lips.

It feels like I was floating in the air inside the car as we made our way to the club. Zie was holding my hands and I don't want to let go of his hand anymore, I'm afraid that if I let go of his hand I will suddenly wake up and realize that everything was just a fucking dream.

"Hey baby, we're already here," Zie said getting my attention. Zie got out of the car and opened the door for me.

"Wear this," Zie said as we entered the entrance of the club, he handed me a blue mask that perfectly compliments my suit.

As we entered the club we were suddenly interrupted by a woman and a man who looked like a bouncer based on his body size.

"Yes?" Zie asked.

The woman smiled at us, "good evening sir, for tonight's anniversary all of the guests plus one will be wearing a bangle with a specific number, the bangles will be used for the auction," the woman explained. They did not wait for our answer and suddenly the man took my hand and put a bracelet on my arms with a number 69 engrave in the middle of the bracelet.

"Wait! What do you mean? My boyfriend is not up for auction." Zie said obviously annoyed based on the tone of his voice. I didn't think about what the woman said, I was thrilled when he mentioned that I am his boyfriend, my heart suddenly beats faster. I'm not used to him introducing me to other people as his boyfriend.

"Didn't you get the memo, sir? The memo was included on the invitation card that was sent to your email." The woman replied in surprise and politely bid goodbye. Zie and I looked at each other, I was a little nervous about what was happening especially when I tried to remove the bangle that was attached to my arm and I could not remove it.

"Let's get inside, I'll be checking my email," Zie said, we walked into the club and looked for a place. Zie pulled out his phone and opened his email. As he reads the email I look around the people passing by. I notice that there are other men and women also wearing bangles like me so somehow I feel relieved, I am not the only one wearing it.

"Fuck! I was so busy I didn't read the email, so basically what will happen now is that the auctioneer of the party will draw ten numbers for the auction, the bidding happened until someone wins, but the final say if the item will be sold will always be the plus one's owner. I think there's nothing to worry about, I will never sell you to those horny fuckers. " Zie explained and put the phone back in his pocket, I breathed a sigh of relief at what he said.

"Let's enjoy the party." He said with a smile and pulled my hand to the middle of the hall where many people were dancing and drinking. Waiters are walking around to deliver a variety of wines and some hard alcohols.

Zie and I started dancing, I can't even count how many glasses of wine I drank. We're having a time of our life, Zie was dancing on my back, he is grinding behind me with his bulge caressing my butt cheeks.

We keep on dancing.

Until we're wasted, my eyes became blurry.

Then suddenly the light inside the hall went out. I feel like I'm going to fall into extreme dizziness.

"Z-Zie? Hik." I called Zie softly and nodded which I don't know why I nodded, I briefly closed my eyes when I feel a severe headache.

"I'm here baby, just hold me," Zie replied and held my hand.

"Hehe, I love hik you," I said and laughed like crazy.

"You're drunk." He responded and laughed weakly.

"Nah! Nah! I'm still alive." I replied and nodded again.

Suddenly the spotlight turned on, I could not see very well but there was a man wearing a mask in the middle and a large bowl in front of him.

"Good evening everyone, I am Mr. Black your auctioneer for tonight. Tonight is extra special because our items will be chosen randomly. You already know what will happen, let's start to draw our lucky winners." The auctioneer said, closing my eyes again and resting my head on Zie's shoulder. I no longer listen to what the auctioneer is saying. My head is freaking hurting, it looks like I drank too much.

"69."

Suddenly the bracelet I was wearing lit up, I laughed and showed my arm to Zie.

"Hik, look at this bangle they gave me, it was a glow in the dark," I said like a child looking intently at the glowing bracelet.

"It's not a glow in the dark baby, you're chosen to be the last item for tonight," Zie said, I do not know but his voice does not seem happy.

I no longer knew what was going on around me, someone grabbed my body and suddenly lifted me up.

"Zie?" I weakly called his name.

"Okay, our last item for tonight is um, a little bit drunk." The auctioneer said, I think it was the auctioneer who said that. I don't know who is speaking anymore. I closed my eyes when the spotlight points in my direction. I feel like someone is staring at me.

"Okay, let's start the auction. The bid will start at half a million dollars." I heard the auctioneer say.

"No one will bid?" The auctioneer asked and laughed.

"There you go, surprisingly someone bid one million dollars. Going once ..."

"Going twice ..."

"1.1 million dollars, anyone wants to beat 1.1 million dollars." The auctioneer said.

"Wait! Someone is raising the board. How much is that sir?"

Fuck! The auctioneer's voice is too loud. My head is spinning. It feels like I'm going to vomit anytime soon.

"2 million dollars? Wow, that's roughly 100 million pesos. This is the biggest bid in history."

"Going once ..."

"Going twice ..."

"The owner of our item tonight is Mr. Mendez, it seems like no one's gonna beat the last bid. The final say is now in your hands Mr. Mendez."

When I heard Zie's name I rolled my eyes and looked for Zie, I smiled at him when our eyes met.

He looks a bit sad. Why?

Fuck! My head.

"Going once ..."

"Going twice ..."

"Going thrice and ..."

I put my hand on my ear, I was really dizzy as if something was digging inside my stomach. I tried to look at Zie, I smiled at him.

"S-Sold."

My head is spinning. I couldn't stand it anymore and I suddenly felt nauseous. I lay down on the cold floor, vomiting profusely. The last thing on my mind was Zie's gorgeous face.

Did he sell me?

That's what I read on his lips.

When I could not really take the dizziness I felt I closed my eyes, a few tears came out of my eyes before I lost consciousness.
