Chapter 58 Recalling old memories
Olivia wanted to stay in the car and wait for Luciano as he said. Unfortunately, curiosity got the best of her, she found herself heading toward the click.
The anger she felt to know why he was mocking her death. Why did he come here? Did he come to laugh at her and spit on her? He killed her in cold blood. He didn't spare her, even when she told him she was expecting his child.
Olivia walked as close to the cliff as possible and hid behind a tree and watched Luciano, he was limping as he stood by the edge of the click. Unlike the last time. The place was covered with tall green trees. The ground with green grass which covered half the borders lying around.
Her eyes fixed on the man. He slowly placed the bouquet he was holding on the large board. Patiently, she stood there waiting to hear what he had to say.
“Did I come late… of course, I didn't have, happy birthday baby, “she heard Luciano say in between chuckles “I miss you very much…” the man added and Olivia's eyes narrowed suspiciously, and she heard him loud and clear. Why was he pretending to be good when he was the one who killed her?
Anger rushed through her, hearing what he had to say? What pained her more was the guts he had to come to the very same place he dragged her to, and threw her off the cliff.
“I was wrong. I should have done more… I should have fought for you… for our love” Luciano muttered and slowly went to his knees. Olivia's hands clenched tightly.
Those words meant the world to her before he showed his true colors, and now he was busy saying nonsense.
“You must hate me after everything…damn, I deserve your hatred …and you know what” Luciano added, “whoever shot me should have done it a thousand times… that way… I would have died and come to you” by now she heard sobs coming from the man, Olivia's heart was bleeding once more. Her eyes were burning and blinking did nothing to help her.
All the scars opened, and the wound became fresh. Olivia felt despair crawling on her skin like little ants eating away her flesh.
“I wasn't good enough for you, my baby… I was too much of a coward to protect you. I'm sorry the man broke it sobs. Olivia turned around abruptly. She wanted to avoid hearing any more of it. He was playing mind games again…he was lying to her once more. And she was a fool to cry over a man who hurt her. Destroyed her inside out.
Olivia waited, calming herself. She wanted to avoid being here or alerting Luciano. She needed to be stronger than this.
“I should go,” Olivia muttered after some time and turned to leave when.
“You are here?” it was Luciano who said, making her come to an about halt. Turning around, she made sure her face was normal.
“Well, you took so long… I was worried you might hurt… yourself “she said, faking a smile and prepared to flee when Luciano held her hand.
“Come,” he said, and led her to the cliff. I was scared, not sure why he was taking her there.
“We… we should go,” any minute spent here. She felt uncomfortable,
“This is like my secret hideout… I normally come here to get some peace of mind,” the man said once they stepped away from the edge. Viva was compared to ask.
“Why did you bring flowers here?” she asked shrewdly. If he told her, he killed his girlfriend.
“It's nothing, I love it here…come sit with me,” the man said and led her to sit down. She wanted to refuse, but she sat with him anyway. Glancing at his chest area. She saw his shirt had blood stains. It seemed he was pushing himself hard. His injuries were triggered. It was silent… Olivia fixed her eyes up, the sun was about to set.
“Do you drink… I mean alcohol?” Luciano asked after a while, breaking the awkward silence between them…via was startled back to reality.
“No,” Olivia replied, shaking her head. The question was familiar. It sounded like the first time he took her out to a club. He asked if she drank liquor. She said no and the man laughed at her. Both ended up drinking that night, he wasn't drunk, but she was wasted. Luciano took her to his apartment, and she spent the night there.
***
Night approached, and Olivia returned home. Not the mafia mansion, but the villa given by Pedro.
By now, she was done living under Pedro's shadow. He didn't care about her, for she was busy tending to his lair girlfriend. Of course, she didn't care what happened.
After dropping off Luciano. The man had invited her in for dinner. Unfortunately, she was running out of time. Already, she spent half the day with him at the cliff. Not just that, but it turned out the rest of the family was around.
Upon entering the house. Olivia started kicking off her heels. Untied her hair and flipped the lights on.
To her greatest surprise, she was startled upon seeing the man who just emerged from the living room.
“What are you doing here?” Olivia asked and walked past him.
“The question is… where are you coming from?” Pedro asked coldly, he sounded angry, which Olivia ignored.
“Who are you to ask me such a question?” It was surprising to hear him ask. Look her in the eyes and ask something so ridiculous,
“You were with him again… I thought I made it clear” Pedro growled and grabbed Olivia's arm and pulled her forcefully to him.
“Don't you touch me!” Olivia lashed and tried to push him away.
“What did he do, huh… did he touch you… he must have… I'll chop his hands off!” Pedro was a raging bull as she slammed her against the wall. The tension between them was ugly. Olivia was stunned at his outburst. The way he held her was hurting.
“He looked at you… I'll gouge his eyes out… I'll make sure he dies and fed to the wolves, “Pedro snarled and trapped her between the wall and his hard, tall form. Olivia was frightened, by seeing the raging monster.
“Let me go… you have your fucking girlfriend… let me go!” Olivia yelled and tried to get out of his grip. He was hurting her, how dare he say that when he was keeping a shut in his house?
“You are mine… you belong only to me” Pedro muttered breathlessly and smashed his lips on hers, and forcefully kissed her? Olivia fought to get away. But his lip, so he could stop, but the man slammed her against the way and kissed her violently that she was running exhausted.
He was out of control, like a crazy monster. Olivia was in tears as she tried to keep Pedro away, he didn't stop but ripped her dress apart when.
“LET HER GO!” came a deep angry voice. Quickly, Pedro pulled away from her, so fast that she only heard the sound of blows and growling in the room.
“You damned fucker!” Pedro growled, and both men started hitting each other viciously.
“How dare you force yourself on her!” it was Luciano who said, shocking Olivia who stood at a distance shaking her head in disbelief.
“S-stop it now,” she tried to yell for them to stop fighting. Unfortunately, the two men continued exchanging blows like animals. Even Luciano who was hurt, obviously.
