Chapter 59 Caught in between them
“Stop it now!” Olivia yelled, she had had enough of their drama and fighting. Both men were acting like little boys fighting over a toy.
“You have the guts to force yourself on her!” Luciano yelled with strained breaths…he was bleeding all over. Despite the many blows, he exchanged with Pedro. He was not much for the mafia man.
“She's mine, you fucker… She is mine!” Pedro growled and grabbed Luciano by the shirt and tossed them back to the flow. Olivia quickly rushed to them and stood between…both were raging like bulls.
Shooting angry daggers at each other. Luciano's face was bloody and so was his white shirt. Pedro was in one piece, although with bloody hands.
“Stop this okay… how dare you two… what's wrong with you!” she was beyond irritated with them…this was her house, how could they cause a ruckus like this?
“It's that fucker who dared to force himself on you… he's no man to do that!” Luciano growled and attempted to stand when he slipped and fell back down. Olivia was compelled to rush to him and help out.
“I'll kill you… she's mine, you damned murderer!” Pedro snarled and lunged at Luciano when Olivia shielded him, making Pedro freeze in his tracks…his eyes shone with questions, seeing what was happening.
“Please stay still… why did you come here, huh,” she said and slipped her hand around his back and lowered his head in her lap. Pedro was fuming in anger. His nostrils flared at the sight of Olivia touching the very same man who took everything from her.
“I … do you live with that bastard… did he hurt you… let me see,” Luciano said desperately and reached for her face. The man could barely stand on his own. He was shot twice and is now beaten to a pulp by Pedro.
“It's enough now… will you both just stop this…” Olivia said out of frustration. Glancing up at Pedro, she could feel his anger. His sharp eyes were at her, unfortunately, she didn't care.
“He's hurt… you don't attack a helpless person, please leave from here” Olivia said and averted her eyes from him. She didn't even waste time but helped Luciano to get to his feet.
With great difficulty, Olivia managed to get Luciano to his feet and guided him towards the guest's room, it would be impossible for him to climb the stairs in such a state, she chose the bedroom on the first floor.
As she dragged a bleeding Luciano away, Pedro stood there watching, anger boiled within him that all he wanted was to rip Luciano apart and kill him slowly.

“I'm okay… you don't have to do this,” Luciano said with a chuckle, and Olivia scoffed. He was busy fooling around, he was badly hurt…she just changed his bandages and what she saw wasn't pleasant.
“Why did you come here?” she was wondering why he came to her place. She recalled driving him back home, so how did he come to her? Judging by the look of things, he didn't hear her conversation with Pedro.
“Well, I saw how down you were… so I decided to follow you and keep you company, “Luciano said with a charming smile. Olivia glanced up at him and was speechless.
“I thought you could use some company… I brought my most special wine” he added, smiling mischievously at her, his smile wasn't new nor was it fake. Even in the past, he always smiled like that.
“You didn't have to… I'm good” she said nonchalantly and shoved some used up Cotton in the clear plastic bag and rose from the bed.
“I won't let him treat you that way… you are far too special" he added, and all Olivia did was look at him blankly.
“I was wondering why you live here alone. I mean… don't you miss your family?”Luciano asked, of course, he was trying to be nice. Olivia averted her eyes from him, knowing he was the one who took her happiness away.
“You are all good… I don't have countless painkillers… you can stay here since it's late, or I can call…”
“I'll stay… that way, you can look after me” Luciano cut her off and grinned mischievously, Olivia gave a half smile and picked up the first aid.
“Great, then I'll be in the living room if you need anything,” she said and left the room and closed it securely. She was hoping Pedro already left.
“Come with me,” out of nowhere came Pedro. Before Olivia could regain her wits, the man was already dragging her upstairs forcefully.
“Stop it now…let me go,” she struggled to get away. He was hurting her, Pedro didn't stop as he dragged them to the right wing of the villa.
“Let go!”Olivia managed to pry him off once they got to an opening. The left passageway led to the terrace. She didn't want to talk to him.
“Is this you… after everything that bastard has ever done in his filthy life… you are still soft on him” Pedro muttered, shooting angry daggers at her. She saw how hard he was trying to suppress anger…but she fully knew he was a monster of a man.
“It's not like that… he's hurt… plus why are you angry… are you bored with that girlfriend of yours 'he was ridiculous to say such things. Yes, Luciano was twice a monster. Both were alike in a way. It was like they were cut from the same board.
“Come with me,” the man dragged her towards the terrace. Olivia did not appreciate how he treated her. She wasn't a toy or a thing but a human being. The man tossed her through the open glass doors, and Olivia stumbled inside.
“Ahh,” a hiss left her lips when he viciously threw her in like a ragged door. Glancing up, Olivia was not happy. The terrace was dark despite the night sky and the moon shining its lights remarkably.
“Please just leave,” she spat out, not wanting to be anywhere near him. Soon he started advancing toward her. Olivia sensed his dark aura, sweat dripped down her forehead as she retreated backward.
Shortly the lights went on, causing a low gasp to escape her throat. Her eyes widened in shock at the sight of the terrace. Olivia straightened up, not sure what to say. Glancing down, her bare feet were stepping on soft rose petals. Lifting her gaze, Olivia was even more stunned when she saw the table for two nicely decorated with flowers. Just then did she notice the small glass bowls filled with water glowing. There was a chocolate cake on the table with a champagne bottle and two glasses.
Dumbstruck beyond reason, she shifted her eyes up and there was a banner and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OLIVIA words were written on it. The words were glowing a cute pink color. Turning to Pedro, the man had a lighter in his hand.
“I…”
“You don't deserve it,” the man muttered, surprising her. Did he remember her birthday? Why was he acting strange?
“Pedro I…” she stuttered, not sure what to say. The man was playing with the lighter creepily. What if he got burned.
“At the end of the day…you love him and that's the problem,” he mumbled more to himself, but Olivia heard him loud and clear.
“You didn't have to… why not go to your girlfriend,” she said, averting her eyes from him. Why bother to give her a birthday surprise when he accused her of poisoning Hannah.
“You don't deserve this,'' said again when Olivia turned to look at him. The man dropped the lighter and the floor caught fire.
Olivia rushed to him but stopped when he took out a small pocket knife, “p-Pedro stop it” was he going to kill her? Fear washed over her as tears flooded her face.
“Pedro, drop that knife… Please …” she didn't even finish when he held out his hand and slit his wrist so fast that Olivia saw blood oozing out of his wrist like water and falling to the floor. “Stop it now!” she rushed to him hoping to get the knife “What… what are you doing,” Olivia was desperate as she held his bleeding hand, and tried to put out the fire. However, Pedro caught her hand before she could do anything. The room was ablaze. The fire was expanding rapidly.
“If I can't have you, then let's both die here,” the man said breathlessly and slammed the door shut with just a kick of his leg and locked it. Olivia was agitated. Frightened as she fought to get away from him.
“What's… what's wrong with you… he didn't do anything…” Pedro was insane, he was bleeding to death and holding her tightly. The place was in flames. The banners had caught fire, so did the tablecloth he used to decorate the table. He didn't let her go.
"If you think about him… you yearn for his touch… you long to be in his arms… then we are going to die here!" The man yelled and gripped her by the neck, he wasn't hurting her but trapped her in his arms while the fire burned around them. Olivia struggled to get away...he needed to be treated before he could die.
"I won't let that murderer have what's mine… you are mine," he slammed her against his chest and kept muttering. He was trembling, the heat from the fire caused her to sweat so much. The smoke burned her eyes and invaded her nostrils causing her to suffocate as she clung to her last breath. The man was breathing heavily. She could feel his heart beating rapidly against her chest "just mine… only mine… you don't belong to him" he kept muttering gibberish not sure if from loss of blood or anger. This was madness. What kind of love was this?
