Chapter 63 Mafia trials
“Let… let me go!” Hannah screamed as both women struggled together. Olivia gripped the knife Hannah wanted to use to play dirty tricks.
“You are so cheap, aren't you!” Olivia managed to get the knife from Hannah before she did something to get Pedro's attention. Both women glared at each other as they stood apart.
“Who do you think you are… no one wants you here… just leave already!” Hannah yelled disdainfully. The sight of Olivia made her feel nauseous. Her presence made her so angry that all she wanted was for Olivia to die.
“These cheap tricks… do you think he'll ever look at you the way you want” Olivia spat out bitterly, she came to the kitchen to get some water. When she found Hannah about to harm herself. Olivia knew why Hannah tried to do such a thing.
“I hate you more than you can imagine… it's because of you that he doesn't care for me like before,” Hannah was in tears, and Olivia scoffed seeing how the woman was acting as if someone had taken her bone.
“Sweetie, you can't force a man to love you…these cheap tricks of yours won't let him want you,” Olivia said and scanned the knife. Hannah was desperate and crazy to switch to hurting herself. If Olivia didn't come in at the right time. Hannah would have hurt herself just to get Pedro's attention.
“You are nothing to me… you can't compare to me because I'm more beautiful than you!” Hannah spat out, pushing Olivia out of the way so unexpectedly that Olivia lost her balance and slipped.
“Ah!” A loud cry came from Olivia, who landed heavily on the floor. Hannah, who was about to leave the kitchen, turned back and saw Olivia whimpering.
"Bitch” Hannah snarled and stormed out of the kitchen. Olivia slowly rested her hands on the floor and tried to push herself up.
“Dammit” she managed to sit up only to realize the same knife had caused more harm than good.
“Damn that bitch” Hannah was beginning to get on her nerves. With great difficulty, Olivia held her right arm and left the kitchen.
When she got to the hall room, Olivia was stunned to find Hannah, crying. What stunned her was seeing Pedro with her.
“Do you care about me…if you do… then get that woman out of here,” Hannah wept hysterically. Olivia had never met a woman like her. So annoying,
“What happened now?” Pedro asked. To Olivia's surprise, he was keeping his distance from her.
“You promised to look after me but…” Hannah didn't even finish when Pedro noticed Olivia's presence. Ignoring the two, Olivia went the other way to nurse her injuries. She came to see Pedro, unfortunately she didn't think living in the same house as Hannah was a good idea.
“Stupid man” Olivia muttered as soon as she entered the study room. She would have gone upstairs to her room, unfortunately, Pedro and Hannah were there by the stairs.
“I should have let him die,” she said and shoved the first aid on the table and sat down. Soon the door opened, which she ignored.
“What happened to you?” it was Pedro who asked, and the door closed.
“Your girlfriend happened… are you happy?” she said sarcastically and started wiping away the blood. The cut was not that much, but blood was oozing out like water.
“Let me,” he said and dragged her from the desk to the sitting area. “Sit” he made her sit on the couch and sat beside her.
“Shouldn't you be…”
“Shh, don't talk, or I'll shut you up my way,” Pedro cut her off and started cleaning her arm, “are you sure about your lover's wife?” Pedro asked after a while of silence, Olivia cleared her throat awkwardly and tried shifting. Pedro was so close to her. His touch gave her chills.
“Why should I care… she's one of them, “Olivia remarked, she wasn't going to spare anyone. Already, Solange made a mistake. She wasn't a saint, who knew what she was hiding under all that fake innocence.
“I see…” Pedro muttered and finished bandaging her arm. Olivia didn't feel any pain until he was done.
“Aren't you going to do anything here… she hurt me,” Olivia said straight, his girlfriend was responsible for her injury.
“No… forgive her, I'm sure she'll come around soon… come with me,” he said, shaking his head and doing it by hand.
“Where are you taking me,” Olivia asked when the man forcefully dragged her out of the study room.
“To finish your birthday,” Pedro said and continued dragging her around until they left the house. Olivia was only in jeans shorts with a crop shirt and sandals.
“I don't want to go, I don't want you, “Olivia protested. He was a fool to think she would let him do as he wanted.
“That's your problem,” Pedro said, and settled in the driver's seat. Olivia snorted and averted her eyes from him. The man chuckled and started the car.
Immediately after the car left the mansion ground, Hannah came from her hiding spot. She saw what happened, Pedro told her he was unwell, so where was he going with Olivia.
“Such a nice couple…don't you think?”Zane asked, startling Hannah. However, she ignored him. Her expression darkened, clenching her hands tightly.
“Hahaha, you should just give up… Sacha has strong feelings for Livia” Zane added with a lazy yawn and Hannah was furious.
“Is she even part of the mafia?”Hannah glared at Zane, of course, Olivia was Pedro's woman. She was automatically a mafia woman.
“Yeah,” Zane answered, rolling his eyes, and Hannah let out a scoff.
“Anyone who intends to join the mafia doesn't just join out of the blue… did she go through the trials?” Hannah asked, turning to Zane. His hesitant expression said it all. Livia was just a mafia, but they didn't make her go through those trials.
“It's not needed, if Sacha didn't suggest why bother,” Zane said, he didn't see a reason why Olivia had to do something so dangerous. If Pedro didn't bother, then no one could.
“Even if she's the boss's woman… she needs to go through the trials… she has to go through the pain… I'll see to it that the rules are carried out without anyone violating them,“ Hannah said shrewdly, Zane only shrugged and left from there. Hannah knew Olivia wouldn't survive the trials.
The ways of the mafia world were different, joining was harder than quitting. Death was easy. However, Hannah knew only the toughest survived the trials. Olivia would die a horrible death. Pedro must have skipped those all because he felt something for Livia.
“I'll make this hard for you” she knew the men who did the trials were unlike Zane or Gabby, those men were typical mafias who didn't favor anyone. If Olivia were weak, then she would die, even some men failed to finish all trials. Others died and others were killed in the process.
“She'll die soon," Hannah muttered and went to her car. She knew what she wanted to do. Livia was as good as dead. It seemed Pedro was protecting her. Hannah drove away from the mansion to meet the woman who seemed to hate Livia with the same passion she did.
