Danger Alert
The stranger walked away soundlessly and Diana watched him feeling guilty. She wondered why she had to feel so bad for a man she only just met. Perhaps because suddenly looked like he badly needed a tight hug.
Diana's chest tightened. For some reason, it pained her to see the stranger's lonely back. Perhaps it was because she felt guilty that it was her words that resulted in the man looking devastated. But she could not understand why her words would hurt a stranger she did not know.
Her words must have triggered something he was already bothered with deeply but was bottled up. Someone could have said the same words to him before. Perhaps a lover and Diana's words reminded him of it. It was the only reason why he would be anguished by her words.
"Why do I have to feel bothered by him? He drugged me and slept with me. I shouldn't feel bad at all. Or was he not the one who drugged me and I've wronged him? Maybe both of us were drugged."
Diana could still not understand what was going on. She could not recall going out at all. Yesterday, she was at home doing normal household chores, doing home-based work, and cooking for her husband. She could not figure out how she ended up in a hotel room with a stranger.
"I must have fallen asleep on the couch while waiting for my husband. Was I kidnapped and then drugged?"
She recalled how the stranger's eyes turned red and how dangerous he looked before he left the room. 'Maybe that was my imagination. How could someone's eyes change colors just because he is angry?'
Diana was reminded that she had to be calm and rational if she wanted to leave safely and return to her husband. She could not agitate the stranger even more. She totally lost her calm when she saw her husband or perhaps he was someone that looked like Kristoph.
Since she was a policewoman when she was not yet married, she knew some martial arts. She could evade the stranger if he attacked her but when it comes to a fight; she knew she would lose instantly. She could tell that he was so much stronger than her.
He was also very swift when he suddenly hovered over her and the movement was soundless. He was surely proficient in martial arts.
Her instincts were also telling her that he was dangerous. Somehow, she could feel that he was very powerful, and fighting him head-on would only lead to her death.
Judging by the look in his eyes, Diana could also tell that he had killed before. Not once, but many times. Her instinct and intuition had saved her countless times so she trusted it.
Diana had to wonder if she had offended some big shots when she was still a cop. The stranger did not look ordinary at all. He had the looks of a rich dangerous beauty. He even had long silky hair that might be even prettier than hers. It was a rare sight.
In all the issues she had handled at work when she was still a cop, Diana was sure she had never encountered that man before. Perhaps he was the big boss so she had never seen him. If not her, perhaps it was her husband Kristoph. Kristoph could have been involved in a dangerous case but did not inform her so she would not worry.
Diana did not believe it one bit, but she wondered why the stranger kept insisting that he was her husband now. She could not even remember who he was and she had never met him before so it was not possible. He could be trying to brainwash her, threaten her, or something.
Remembering the pained look and hurt in his eyes, she had to rack her brain if he was a former lover.
But she was sure that she would remember him if he was an ex or one of the men she had slept with before when she was younger. With his physique and pretty face, he would surely be unforgettable.
Even the hair that draped down to his waist looked elegant that it did not look out of place at all. It suited him beautifully.
The man honestly looked like a prince that walked out of a fairytale or a god that descended from heaven. The only reason Diana would let go of such a man would be if his personality was not compatible with hers or he was terrible in bed or he was someone she could not stand.
Still, no matter how she racked her brain, she could not remember him at all. It was truly the first time she ever saw him so he could not possibly be her new husband. He must have been lying.
Even if she separated Kristoph; she had no plans to ever remarry. She only had Kristoph in her heart that even if he left her, she had no desire to look for someone else.
Diana sighed and looked around the room. She wondered what hotel she was in. It was luxurious. Everything in the room looked like it was for some kind of royalty.
"He must be sinfully rich."
It was a wide room that had ornate walls. It somehow had a feminine touch. It also smelled like flowers.
Diana's eyes roamed the room and spotted a vase of flowers on a bedside table. It must be the source of the fragrance.
The bed was king-sized and could fit four people or more. The floor was covered with an expensive-looking carpet and the windows were adorned with gorgeous curtains.
She noticed a door in a corner and walked to it. Upon opening, Diana discovered it was a bathroom. She smiled at her discovery and decided to bathe and cleanse herself of the remnants of the stranger.
Diana almost hit herself in the head for wanting to meet her husband when she was still in a messy state due to another man. It was plain idiotic. It was like she was adding oil to the flame.
It irked her that she could feel the stranger's seeds inside her and some were even leaking out to her thighs. He must have released inside her several times for that much to be there.
She grimaced at the thought that the stranger did not even bother using a condom and just came inside her. She had to drink a morning pill as soon as possible. She could not allow the possibility of getting impregnated by a stranger.
Somehow, the bath looked like a lady's personal bath due to all the beauty products and personal care inside. Perhaps she was in someone's leaving space instead of a VIP room.
With the bath filled with amenities for a lady, Diana decided she would use those for the meantime. If someone owned it, she would have to reason that it was the stranger's fault for bringing her there.
Diana prepared the bath and rid herself of the sheets. It was then that she realized that her breasts felt and looked like it was smaller than usual. Her chests were ample since it was in her genes and her husband poured his love onto it ever since her first year in university.
She walked to the mirror and almost screamed in shock. She was not in her body. She was in someone else's. Looking at the stunning woman in the reflection, Diana was sure it was not her.
It was not out of a lack of self-confidence. Diana knew that she herself was a beauty, but this person was just too beautiful. However, Diana's figure was better than hers. She was curvier than this lady.
The body she was in still had ample chest but it was smaller compared to hers and smaller hips as well. The lady was still curvy but Diana's body was more luscious. Perhaps, it was because the body was younger. The lady looked like someone who just reached her twenties.
"What is going on? This is not me at all," Diana murmured as she lightly pinched her cheek. She felt the pain. She pinched her hand hard and it stung. She was truly in the body of the woman she was seeing in the mirror.
It was impossible to have her soul or body exchanged. She knew that for a fact, but that was the only theory left for her.
Diana was in the body of a beauty that had wavy lavender hair that flowed to her hips. She had gorgeous green eyes that shone brightly as if they could soothe an ailing man with just a glance. She had white, flawless, and supple skin. Her body was also proportional and alluring. It also excluded an air of elegance and grace. All in all, it was the body of a lady with divine beauty. She had to wonder if it was a goddess' body.
Glancing at all the kiss marks on her body and the bite marks on the crook of her neck and her shoulders, Diana groaned. She could not blame the man for lusting for the lady. If she was a man, she would lust for that woman too.
Diana bit her lip when she realized that the stranger could have been saying the truth.
The stranger could have been the husband of the body's owner and she had wronged him by all the words she had said previously. No wonder the man looked devastated. She had to apologize later. She could not possibly ruin the lady's marriage if that guy was her husband.
"But how would I explain that I am not his wife? Would he believe me if I said that my soul and that of his wife must have had exchanged? It sounds too unbelievable," Diana sighed.
"He would probably think that I am crazy. But what else could be the explanation for this? This is not my body at all. If this is a nightmare, I'd rather wake up right now," she grumbled and pinched an arm again only to feel the pain once again.
Diana sighed deeply and decided to enjoy the bath first. She would ponder about all the difficult things after she had calmed down and relaxed a bit to think with a clear head. Everything was too complicated for her to think about when she was still exhausted and sleep-deprived.
