Dead Man Walking!
Aubrianne Ivanov
'Definitely, that is why I am unable to. The binding spell was not fully broken as it should have, and we need Jada's mother to help us.' Leia advises.
Aubrianne and Leia had discussed their theories as to why it did not break completely, but nothing they came up with made sense to even mention. In the end, they had agreed Jada's mother could also shed light on that.
"Damn, I need to put together a to-do list soon.' Aubrianne says, remembering all that she wanted to do.
Start her physical training, gain experience using her magic, and, of course, learn how to use said magic. Plus, learning little tricks from Jada, meanwhile, before she even planned the trip.
Oh, and how to shut out someone and how to shut out your wolf. She wanted to be prepared, especially before being initiated into the pack, so she needed help ASAP!
'Seriously,' Leia articulates.
'You just made my point for me now, didn't you.' Was all Aubrianne said before jumping off her bed and grabbing her iPad. She would use the planner and lay things out.
There Leia was again in her thoughts.
'Let's see, oh, our mother's diary to read,' Aubrianne spoke, continuing to list out things on her iPad using the voice software.
Aubrianne decides to read her mother's diary on Sunday or at least start the process.
She will start her new job on Monday and wants to relax and get her mind in the right frame. This week was one hell of a week.
She planned to sit by the fireplace in her living room, relax and get some reading done.
After Aubrianne's planning, her stomach growled loudly, so she had made herself something to eat, and by 'made,' she reheated a meal from her stash. And Leia had continued updating Aubrianne and filling her in on all the wisdom.
On their mysterious appeal that can bring man or beast to their knees, that they can rule and command armies, Leia kept listing things when they heard a light knock on the door. Watching the time, she saw it was now four pm.
A little less than two hours had passed since she woke up.
She tip-toed to the door but then figured it must be Jada. Yip, it's Jada glowing at the same time, bruised.
Jada had returned home with all smiles and glowing beautifully, except for the horrible marks on her skin.
"Oh, my goodness, what happened to you?" Aubrianne asked, clearly worried something had happened. These dark spots were all over Jada's skin, even finger imprints on her as if someone had grabbed her.
When a seductive but devilish smile graced Jada's lips, then realization dawned on Aubrianne, and at this moment, she could not help but feel extremely jealous.
"Jealousy ain't a good look on you, Aubri. What's wrong? Talk to me." Jada said suddenly.
Aubrianne's eyes widened, but before she could answer, "For one, I am a magical being as well, but in this case," Jada shrugged, "it was written on your face. I did not need the magic to suss out your emotions."
Yes, Aubrianne was filled with the green one-eyed slimy creature called jealousy.
She so wished to have this experience. "I threw myself at Daniel last night." She says, standing there, waiting for Jada's outburst.
Jada's eyes widened in response. She was heading down the corridor to the rooms, but she turned, her bag flailing at her side, and went to the living room area, grabbing Aubrianne's hand. She pulls her along, "Come, tell me everything!"
Aubrianne groans a protest, then she says as they sit on the couch, "It did not get that far, so..."
"WHAT? What do you mean it did not get that far?" Jada was shocked and surprised as she found it hard to believe that Daniel would pass up an opportunity to get with Aubrianne.
"It just didn't," Aubrianne answered with lips set in a thin line.
"Nuh-uh, don't do that, Aubri. Tell me what happened." Jada wagged a finger at her while shaking her head. She was curious to know what had happened. And why was her friend sulky?
"Because I am a virgin!" Aubrianne finally spoke, exasperated to be back on this topic. Jada, the drama queen she can sometimes be, did a double take with wide eyes, burst out into a fit of laughter, then said hysterically, dragging out and almost squealing out every word. "Like, really? What?"
So drunk with laughter that she could hardly get the words out clearly.
Jada was even more confused when she was done, "Come on, Aubri, give me the deets. Spill it. What are you saying?" Like, did Daniel really not go through with this? How?
"Daniel stopped when he realized I was a virgin!" Aubrianne said, turning into a tomato. She was embarrassed to say this to someone like Jada, of all people, who always gets what she wants. No man would ever turn her down.
"Aw, he is the sweetest, isn't he?" Jada realized Daniel was cut from a different cloth. "So, how far did you get?" Jada eagerly asked.
"Oh my goodness, JADA!" Aubrianne, already embarrassed about the situation, could not get any redder, and now she really wanted another topic, "he went down on me, and I came twice, there, and that's all to it."
Jada screamed, "Ahhhhh, Goddess, Aww Aubri, your first time being eaten," she gushed and cheered.
"Sooooo, how was it?" Jada could not help but ask.
"Would you stop!" Chilli pepper red Aubrianne hides her face!
"No. Tell me. How was it?" Jada insisted and grabbed Aubrianne's hand away from her face.
"Ok, fine," Aubrianne let her. She could not hold back the blush threatening to attack her features again. "It was amazing. I enjoyed it!"
She wanted to go on and say, 'But I wanted more.' However, instead, she stopped herself. She was ready to talk about something else.
Jada was happy Aubri got to experience this, regardless. But knowing that she is a Hydrid, she is expected to have a mate. "So, since you found out about mates, do you think of yours?"
Aubrianne smiled. Of course, she had. The knowledge of her better half being out there somewhere was fantastic news to Aubrianne. However, she did not know how she felt about the overwhelming connection.
She felt like she wanted to feel in charge of her emotions. This intense connection did not sound like she would be. It scared her.
Because of the way it was described, it's like you get totally lost in one another, and something about it felt strange to her, like without such a pull, would she feel that way about the person? Or what if she did feel that way and he was someone like Ron?
Who would be sweet at the beginning and out of nowhere attack her?
It was those questions that had bothered her.
Aubrianne shrugs, "Yea, I mean, I thought of him a couple of times," She smiles genuinely, "I try to imagine what he would look like, how we would react when we first see each other," she chuckled lightly.
"If I would feel the intense pull talked about, or what if he was another Ron! You know, things like that."
Jada had rolled her eyes at the mention of Ron but quickly brushed it off as he was a non-factor. Right now, he was thousands of miles away!
Or was he?
"Ok, well enough about that. The only reason I asked is that I wanted you to know the most extraordinary thing happens when a white wolf finds and mates with her mate.
Then she will fully realize her strength and come into her own. It's a beautiful thing..." Jada explains.
"Yea, I know. Leia and I finally had the talk," Aubriane answered.
"Oh, well, goodie, ok, so..." Jada looked at Aubrianne sincerely, "I am not saying don't have fun, I am just saying I am team 'mate,' not sure what would pop off between you and Daniel because Daniel is totally smitten, but I am just saying."
Jada finishes, then lifts her hand in surrender at Aubrianne's wide eyes.
Before this conversation continued, though, Aubrianne wanted to get the Ron situation off her chest.
"Oh, by the way, speaking about Ron," Aubrianne watched Jada nervously blinking. She breathed in deeply, then exhaled. "Um..."
Crickets...
"Ok, spill! What about Ron?" As far as Jada was concerned, the next time she saw Ron, she would kill him for what he did. He was a dead man walking, plain and simple. Aubrianne could have died if she had not been there.
Suddenly, fidgeting with the belt of her robe, Aubrianne finally came clean, "I saw Ron last night!"
