Flame of Passion
Shawn Louis
Never did her body react to someone's voice this way. How does one's body respond in this way just to the sound of someone's voice?
Kirrah's entire body had lit up when he growled at Brody for daring to speak to her. It was like warm, soothing radiation that traveled through her and settled at her core. She had steadied herself.
Kirrah loved it. 'Possessive.' Hunter had purred, 'I love it.'
Just being in his presence, she felt complete. She felt like he was the missing piece to complete her puzzle.
Kirrah was twenty-eight, she did not give up on mates wholly, but she must admit she was beginning to wonder if she would ever meet hers. That thought led her towards Brody, but now she was fortunate to have met her other half.
She could not wait to tell her family. Kirrah had a sister, and her parents were also alive and well. They all lived in a cozy two-story house at TL Crescent Moon Community.
However, these days, she had been bunking out with a small team obliquely opposite Aubriane to keep me out.
Shawn wanted just a little taste and was tempted to kiss her. His eyes slid to her lips, and in response, Kirrah bit her bottom lip. Shawn's eyes changed from a gorgeous grey mist to an almost black-grey color at Kirrah's actions.
And Kirrah's heat pooled between her legs as she watched the raging desire in her mate's eyes directed at her.
Shawn's nose flared. He reached up with his right hand and gently rubbed on the skin below her lip, slightly tugging on it, attempting to free her lower lip. Kirrah instantly released her lower lip, and as she did, Shawn dipped his head and went in for the kiss.
It was slow and sweet. Kirrah tip-toed, closed her eyes, and wrapped her arms around Shawn's neck when Shawn quickly scooped her up, holding her just below her butt as the urge to feel her body on his overwhelmed him.
And his body vibrated with need as his heart seemed to be trying to break out of its restraints.
Kirrah's body was a perfect fit against his. She wrapped her legs around his waist, calming her nerves and racing heart as it was beating outside her chest.
Then she allowed herself to relax into the kiss and made little moaning noises as she moved her lower body seeking friction on her sweet, moist heat.
Their bodies ignited in flames of passion and a need to complete the mating process. Kirrah moved her body as she basked in the electrifying feeling.
She continued moving her waist.
Shawn was eating her up and quickly became eager for more. The kiss went from slow and sweet to flaming hot and starving.
Shawn then moved and led them inside, only breaking the kiss to glance at Aubrianne, who was excitedly jumping up and down. He quickly nodded to her, and she squealed in response.
Shawn did not care about anyone else in attendance.
As Kirrah gave Aubrianne a wide-eyed look and mouthed, 'Where did you find him?' And Aubrianne smirked at her, then winked and gestured as if shooing them away before they tore each other's clothes off, right here, right now!
Meeting his mate was a complete surprise to Shawn, coming to the great United Nations of TL. He never expected this.
As a matter of fact, the thought of meeting his mate had left him when he turned thirty, so he certainly had no designs on meeting his mate. He had resigned himself to working at Triple X.
Then, when he heard of Aubrianne, he resigned himself to be closer to her, to carry out his duty.
Now, just four days after being there, he met the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. She was perfect in his eyes, with her smooth caramel skin, gorgeous brown eyes, and long lashes, he observed when she blinked at him.
Perfect lips for him to bruise, perfect body, she was everything. Wow, 'Goddess, he met his mate.'
Brody had stormed off as they left, and Aubrianne, Tobias, and Daniel proceeded with training today while Jada was with Ivan.
Daniel's mind raced after witnessing those two like that and seeing Brody's reaction. At the dinner last Friday, it did not take a genius to figure out that Brody had his eyes on Kirrah.
The guy was probably in love.
'Goddess, that could be us,' Daniel had spoken to Cassius, 'never, that is simply the outcome of one situation.' Cassius rebutted.
Cassius could not believe his human was now questioning this. He would not have it. 'What? Are you scared of a little competition?'
When Daniel did not respond, he added, 'Plus, we are here right now; this is our chance; I don't know why you are wasting valuable time. Today is already Thursday. This has been put off long enough, don't you think?'
'What are you waiting for? For her to meet him?' Cassius spoke, almost as if he was scolding Daniel.
However, Daniel did not respond. He blocked Cassius right then because he was trying to think. Witnessing this is very different from the theory he had in mind.
Because he could also have told that while Kirrah may not have been in love with Brody, he could tell she cared for him, and even then, there was not even a single moment of hesitation when it came to Brody.
She was only focused on her mate. It was like Brody never existed. He felt it for Brody, and it was not him. Yet.
Goddess, this was a nightmare.
"Daniel? You coming?" Aubrianne's gentle voice had broken him out of his troubled mind.
"Oh, yes, let's get started. Jada joining?" Daniel spoke. "Oh, no, Jada will not make it," Aubrianne answered, moving to her usual position to start warm-ups with Tobias.
Their workout was well on the way. An hour had passed before they were suddenly interrupted by loud moans and grunts of pleasure. It was like they were fighting each other.
Aubrianne's eyes went wide. Then a smile graced her lips while Tobias blushed profusely. This was not the first time for Tobias.
He had witnessed this only twice before, though, and they just so happened to be community members meeting someone visiting for the first time.
While Daniel, on the other hand, felt sick to his stomach at the thought of this happening to him.
Needless to say, that was the end of training that evening, and Daniel wanted to get out of there; the sooner, the better.
He had left right after, bidding Aubrianne and Tobias goodbye. Aubrianne said she would drop Tobias off tonight. She wanted to spend more time with her baby brother.
They had continued their bonding time well into the night, only stopping when Kirrah and Shawn finally emerged, smiling and flashing their marks on their necks.
Wow, Aubrianne had thought, that quick? Mating and Marking?
They joined them by the pool, and after they shared the PG version of their experience of seeing each other for the first time, Aubrianne went to shower as it was getting late, and she needed to drop off Tobias.
Shawn and Kirrah had offered to drop him, but she had promised.
Timothy Thornton
Timothy had bumped into his mother, Christen, earlier that Thursday and noticed something. At the time, he was rushing to meet his father for their usual early morning workout.
So he quickly asked if she was alright because she had stumbled with the impact. Timothy ran off after she waved him off; that was the last time he thought of his mother.
Right after he trained that day, he had more research to do and got consumed with his project he'd been working on.
Yes, Timothy decided to gain his father's attention and take it away from Aubrianne bit by bit.
Last Friday night, he fell asleep before he could fix his shoe lacing correctly upon entering the gym that he was in such a hurry to get to. However, he was up on time Saturday morning for gym time with his father.
On a Saturday, his father usually works out at ten am. Timothy wanted to prove himself and, this time, stick to it, as he recalled how many times before he would start off hot and sweaty, then drop everything the moment things were getting tough.
But this time? This time it was different. This was a whole other ballpark. Before, he had no motivation, but now? Boy, was he motivated. Some might say he was even over-motivated.
Nevertheless, the workday was over, and he had just remembered something. That morning, when he bumped into his mother, Timothy noticed she looked pale, with bags under her eyes.
'Oh no, she must be thinking about leaving this time. Not right when he was this motivated to make his father proud, and then they would become that happy family once more. Well, now more than ever, she could not do this to him.'
At this realization, Timothy's world felt like it would crumble. His heart leaped into his throat with fear.
