Tongue and D
Aubrianne Ivanov
And Aubrianne planned the same with Christen. She would get that done before the ball, so hopefully, if things improve, she can move into the manor.
Despite Christen and Timothy's behavior the night of the dinner, Aubrianne did not let that ruin things for her. She would put her best foot forward, maintain respect, and always be polite.
That is the type of person she is, so it came naturally.
The following person on her list was Timothy. Aubrianne had a week and a day before the ball to complete this. Easy!
Now the end of week one has come around. It was Friday, and Aubrianne had gone to work that morning. The past week she quickly learned that theory was way different from practice.
With accounting, these real-life clients' needs and wants differ from the smooth theory learned. Real-life circumstances are not as smooth and clear-cut.
Especially if you want to please your client while keeping their business afloat and simultaneously staying within the boundaries set by the Rules of Accounting.
However, she was finding her footing and enjoying every minute of the uphill battle. She had met the entire team at TCTA by now, and her father told her once she was familiar with things at TCTA, he would then bring her over to his fleet of businesses, and she would meet his team of CFOs.
That was another side of her father's multi-billion dollar business; he wanted her to be involved in every aspect.
Nevertheless, Aubrianne's work life was going very well. Even her training sessions were great.
Aubrianne found getting up early in the morning to work out before going to the office challenging. She needed her early morning rest. She finally started training with Daniel and Jada in the evenings after work.
Her father explained it was the norm for them to work out early mornings, but Aubrianne did not even bother to try. She had no interest.
On her mornings, she would get up, get ready for her work day, have breakfast, and then head to the office.
Sometimes she picked up breakfast on her way to work because, with the full house, Aubrianne has now. Let's just say all her welcoming baskets of goodies received from her lovely neighbors were rapidly decreasing.
Aubrianne trained and strengthened her body. Learning basic defense moves from Daniel while Jada taught her some tricks with magic. She was enjoying learning to use her magic.
Aubrianne quickly realized while learning to defend herself that it came naturally to her. To her, it was like dancing.
She applied the same concept she used for dancing, only adding a slight twist, and she had gotten the hang of it.
Dancing for Aubrianne is all about the moves. Moves that came naturally to her and the ones she had to learn to do.
When Aubrianne first started dancing, she did not know how to climb a pole and do all those things on it simultaneously. That took time. But she learned how by following each step and remembering them.
Completing one step at a time while her body moved with the flow of the music. Knowing what particular dance move to do and when to use it. Because at the perfect moment, it creates that maximum impact.
In fighting, she learned the moves and just went with the flow, knowing what actions to take at the perfect moment for maximum impact.
And just like dancing, you also freelance, adding your own twist to what you've learned, and she used a lot of upper and lower body strength and endurance.
So in fighting, she knew she had to tough it out and push herself because it was also much more work than dancing.
But she had the perfect concept down in her mind.
She'd continued miming her instructor, Daniel observing every move he made. Then Aubrianne would attempt to do the very same as best as she could, improving each time.
Even though Aubrianne was ecstatic to learn how to defend herself to become a badass, trust me, she was well aware that it would not happen overnight.
The process is grueling.
Nevertheless, Aubrianne was now getting ready for a date, yes, that's right, a date with Daniel. At the office this morning, Daniel approached Aubrianne because he had finally worked up the courage to do so.
Aubrianne had wondered if he had changed his mind because she knew something had been weighing on his mind since the night of the dinner with her father's family.
When the weekend passed and by Tuesday after her workout, he still had not approached her for any alone time or anything. The thought did cross her mind, and Aubrianne hoped Daniel had a change of heart.
However, she was not going to escape this, it seemed.
He told her to wear something comfortable and mentioned it was a surprise when she eagerly asked for more details.
Dress comfortable? Seriously? What was she to do with that? Aubrianne had fussed and wondered where Daniel was taking her, but he never budged on an answer. He'd simply wagged his finger at her when she pouted.
Yesterday evening, what transpired between Shawn, Kirrah, and Brody had messed up Daniel's mind. He did not get any sleep, and he'd blocked Cassius through the entire ordeal.
Daniel refused to let Cassius have any input or try to convince him of anything. He wanted his thoughts and his thoughts only. One thing he kept returning to was, what if Aubrianne chooses him?
If he does not make his move, he will never know!
Yes, Daniel was traumatized by the way Kirrah completely ignored Brody; as a matter of fact, she did not ignore Brody. It was like Brody had never existed before.
But one thing that was nagging him was when he realized he would never know if he did not tell her how he truly felt about her. And to Daniel, not knowing was worse than knowing in this instance.
He would forever be wondering, 'What if.' What if I was brave enough to make the move? At least he would know then and there whether or not she was interested instead of constantly wondering and having it plague his mind forever.
And if Aubrianne was indeed interested and they became a thing, it was even better.
And if they became a thing and she met her mate, and there was a one percent chance that she would choose him, it was still a chance in his book. A one percent chance was plenty. He would not cower.
Maybe if it were anybody else but Aubrianne, she was worth it. Daniel couldn't risk it. She was simply perfection in his eyes.
Jada scanned Aubrianne's outfit, her brows raised, "What are you wearing?" She saw what Aubrianne was wearing but did not understand why she was wearing that for her date.
Aubrianne wore leggings, sneakers on her feet, a vest, and a long-sleeved hoody. The hood over her head, her hair cascaded down her shoulders, and she wore light makeup.
And by light makeup, she dabbed some lip gloss and put on mascara to accentuate her long eyelashes, making them stand out even more voluminously.
She looked down at herself, responded, then shrugged, "He did say comfortable."
Aubrianne gestured her body with a wave of her hand and added some sass when she said, "And this is comfortable for me. So."
Jada shook her head and smiled at Aubrianne while she fussed over her hair, making sure Aubrianne's hair fell perfectly over her shoulders and back.
Soon Daniel arrived and whisked Aubrianne away. In Aubrianne's absence, Kirrah and Shawn had plans, and Jada had plans with Ivan.
Jada Wilson
For Jada, her week was going a little differently than Aubrianne's.
Things were becoming very comfortable between Jada and Ivan. They have been spending a lot of time together. And tonight, Ivan was taking Jada on their first official date.
Monday after the 'interview,' Jada left Ivan and returned home. Ivan had read her business proposal and told her he was impressed with her and was rooting for her.
He had offered her assistance if she needed any, but Jada did not want a thing from this man except for his tongue and D. She had outright refused him; that was the only reason why she had shown him the plan, to begin with.
Jada was concerned about what Ivan might think. She believed he would assume she was only giving him the time of day because of his status. This could not be further from the truth, so she decided to come out and share it with him and show him that she did not need him.
She would simply prove him wrong even if he assumed that of her.
Nevertheless, Jada had walked prepared because she also knew she could not accept his job offer, and Jada wanted him to know precisely why she couldn't stay there and be with him daily...
