Satisfy my needs
Shawn and Kirrah
On closer inspection of these photos, a low growl escaped Shawn's throat. Stuck on the wall were tons of pictures of Aubrianne.
"Photos of her at an amusement park, a library, do you see this?" Shawn questioned. Kirrah reached out and caressed his shoulders, soothing him, sensing his rising agitation for this punk Ron.
After she inspected them closely, "Yes, babe," her eyes slid to another and then another, "a cafe." Kirrah continued.
"Her car, look, is this Daniel's car? Shawn asked for confirmation; he leaned in and showed her. "Yes, that's Daniel's car," Kirrah confirmed and looked into the section Shawn was looking at.
"Oh, there are some shots of Daniel and Daniela in these photos," Kirrah pointed. "These are from the day she arrived." Her eyes slid to another photo, "Look, this one is at the airport," Kirrah's eyes widened at the realization.
The pair even came across sheets of paper thrown about the room floor with scribbled information about Aubrianne's whereabouts.
More scraps were tossed about on the bed, and also more pictures of Aubrianne were thrown about. Shawn had started taking down everything on the wall and gathered it up.
He would remove all traces of Aubrianne from this room. Right now, he was still determining where Ron was and if he would return there, but he was not about to leave this place like that.
"Look here, entering work," Shawn mentioned. It was a photo he picked up off the floor.
"Oh Goddess, the club. I knew something was off with this dude," Kirrah reacted to a photo she plucked off the wall by the bedside of Aubrianne in the club last Thursday.
Kirrah recalled that night at the club, and she stood there. Glancing around, she spotted a few shots with even her in it on the floor and growled lowly.
Kirrah stared at Shawn wide-eyed, "You know, I asked her about it." Looking at the photo she held, he defended, "Don't be mad at her. She would never have told you or anybody else what was happening." Shawn explained to his mate.
At Kirrah's narrowed eyes, Shawn added, "Look, she would not simply come to you with her struggles, maybe when she warmed up to you, but then I showed up," Shawn touched his chest, shrugged, and smirked.
"So now, in her eyes, there was no need to involve anybody else in this." His right hand caressed her cheek, and she leaned into his touch, "I get it." She sighed.
In all honesty, if she was faced with something like this and in a new place where she did not know anyone, she would probably keep to herself until she warmed up to her surroundings and the people in her life.
Especially if it was a situation she was trying to leave behind, she would not be too keen to bring that drama to this new place, even though the drama had followed her.
Or, she might have screamed bloody murder to the top of her lungs and seen who offered help. Hey, to each her own.
Nevertheless, Kirrah could somewhat understand. However, she wondered if there was more to the story but shook the idea away as she trusted her mate, and if there was more she needed to know, he would have told her.
Shawn and Kirrah immediately hit it off as mates. Things don't always go as smoothly, yet things have progressed really well for them.
They were becoming in sync with each other in such a short space of time.
The pair had mated and marked each other yesterday when they met and had not yet left each other's side. Last night, they had spent the night at Aubrianne's, and tonight they would do the same.
As a matter of fact, from now on, Kirrah will no longer be staying in a house with Brody.
Before the pair had mated and marked each other, they had chatted a bit, only about the elephant in the yard, Brody.
Shawn is very observant and sees things from a mile away. He is a bouncer and previously ran his Private Investigation Business for years.
Plus, he was a werewolf with killer instincts and was accustomed to observing people's actions and reactions to things. Shawn had already sensed that something was going on between the two.
However, he was not upset or anything like that, and it was only because of Kirrah's reaction to what Brody did, and a response like hers pleased him.
Told him everything he needed. It was a wrap now that he was here. There was no hesitation on her part, not even for a split second.
Again, he always observes people's actions and reactions because they can tell you one thing but do something completely different.
So he was not a man who quickly takes somebody's word for it; he would believe it when he saw it.
Though he was pleased with Kirrah's reaction, the problem he had was with Brody's actions. So it was apparent he did not feel comfortable with Kirrah staying in a house with another man, worse yet, a man who clearly loves or has feelings for her.
And from what Kirrah told him, he was a man she started getting closer to.
On hearing this news, Shawn admitted to her that he was happy he met her when he did. Just in time, before anything developed between her and Brody.
And they had easily realized that if not for Aubrianne, their chances of meeting were slim to none.
Nevertheless, with everything on, Aubrianne tossed in a garbage bag he found. Shawn was ready to leave this place, "Hey babe, let's get out of here."
"You got everything?" Kirrah asked by the door; she had moved there to look out while Shawn packed up everything.
"Yea, baby, bet I did." Shawn walked out of the room with the bag in hand, smacked his lips onto Kirrah's, and grabbed her hand, "Let's check reception to find out if Ron, aka Penn, checked out."
Even though Shawn doubted Ron would leave all his evidence behind, he could never tell what situation Ron, aka Penn, may have found himself in and had to go abruptly.
So they would make sure.
"Ok, I would take this," Kirrah announced excitedly, tip-toeing to smack her lips on Shawn's cheek, and Shawn smiled a smile that reached his eyes. Yes, he did make the right decision about this date.
Kirrah walked into the reception area while Shawn stood outside. Everything looked old in there, and it certainly did not fit with the vibes of TL.
Who was the owner of this establishment, Kirrah randomly thought?
The wash-out mint green colored walls, the electrical lines, and the piping are on full display when you look up to the ceiling. Brown patches of residue stained the once-white ceiling.
There was also water residue and swollen dips in the ceiling. Kirrah felt as if she had poked it. Water would gush out.
A stench was coming from the AC unit, like some animal was dead in the vents.
"Uhh," Kirrah scrunched her nose up. Let's make this quick, she thought; moving around the old-looking center table and some dilapidated-looking furniture, Kirrah reached the reception.
A baldheaded man looking in his sixties sat behind the barrier, a thick pair of glasses dropped on his huge nose as he looked up at her from above the lens.
"Good night, dear, and how can I help you?" Thick glasses spoke. He was a little on the chubby side.
Kirrah was about to rest her hand on the counter but thought against it as her eyes dimmed at the condition, and there was a stain right where she was about to rest her hand.
'Was that coffee? Please tell me that is coffee.' She gagged inwardly,
Kirrah purrs and twirls a small portion of her hair between her fingers. "Hello, by chance, has Mr. Penn checked out? He promised he would satisfy my needs tonight."
Her voice suddenly became flirty as she spoke about Ron, giving the impression that they knew each other intimately.
"I was waiting for over thirty minutes, and he was not answering his phone." She further informs and complains.
The old man simply smiled, pushed his glasses up on his nose bridge as he squinted his eyes, and pressed the keyboard while looking at his computer screen.
'She is such a lovely young lady. I wonder if this man stood her up?' The old man with thick glasses thought as he checked his computer.
That computer looked like the only new item in this entire building.
His eyebrows furrowed, and eyes narrowed at Kirrah, "You sure he told you tonight?"
"Yes, tonight, he said," and Kirrah pretended to be remembering if it was tonight indeed.
She knew she could not outright demand info on their guest's whereabouts, so she opted for a bit of performance.
