Night of the Ball - MINE - 4
Alpha Zayne Steele
Zayne and Rafael came upon other wolves in three separate instances and quickly diverted.
Approaching, Zayne knew he needed to get around the lake, which looked like it led to a pool area. He zoned in with his wolf eyes.
Around the property, as far as his eyes could see, people were moving about, some heading to what he assumed were guesthouses on the property while others came out of others.
Zayne realized they could easily blend in once they got into the property and dressed, hopefully.
Nevertheless, Zayne and Rafael trek around the lake, jumping a gold-plated fence, 'seriously?' Zayne scoffed.
When they reached the pool house and changed, "Ok, we need to act like we belong here.' Zayne mind-linked Rafael.
They even showered and thanked the Divine Goddess for finding an iron.
Well, they really acted as if they belonged.
Zayne was overjoyed about the opportunity to be at least able to iron, and when he saw his outfit, he'd eyed Rafael, a huge grateful smile plastered on his face.
"I figured you would want to look good while you faced off with your Idol." Rafael shrugged.
"Thanks, bud," Zayne got back to ironing his suave outfit.
A timeless black, patterned midnight blue jacket with a matching blazer that looks like velvet. The flap is a smooth, silky black bow tie, white shirt with black pants, and black shoes.
Zayne and Rafael quickly dressed, Rafael in his dark shiny grey suit, black shirt, and black shoes. Zayne grabbed what he thought was the cologne, sprayed himself down, then the pair headed towards the action.
Aragorn's excitement was on overload right now, making it difficult for Zayne to concentrate. He had a quick chat, asking his wolf to simmer down. Aragorn's jitteriness was making him uneasy, and he needed to focus.
They were not at the party yet.
Soon, unexpectedly, they came across two guards on patrol. Clearly, he was not paying attention. Else he would have avoided it, and he wondered what was going on with Rafael.
Nevertheless, the guards passed them straight as Zayne eyed Rafael, and he simply shrugged, saying, 'You said to act like we belong' through the mind link.
Zayne quickly realized that what he said about the guest room was also working out here, now that they were dressed like everyone else. Plus, his earlier thoughts about blending in were working smoothly.
They continued to carry on as if they belonged.
Suddenly, as he approached the ballroom, the sweetest, most scrumptious scent wafted in the air. It was sweet yet spicy, warm with delicious pineapple, bergamot, paprika, and lemon notes.
Zayne had to fight Aragorn for control while his inside was filled with warmth and completeness. It was immense.
He had never felt this amount of emotion all at once, joy and happiness being at the forefront.
Suddenly, Aragorn was forcing his way forward, wanting to lead; however, Zayne got a handle on things as soon as Aragorn uttered the words 'mate.'
Zayne could not believe this, impossible. His mind raced. It could not be this easy. He thought he would be looking for a needle in a haystack if his theory was to be believed.
Because of the Whitewolf's words to Zayne, he knew they were mates, and she did say that he was close.
But seriously? What are the odds? Was his mate there? Yes, wolves were here from all over the world, stupid.
It just dawned on him that this was a significant event, where many people from far and wide had traveled to be here.
And suddenly, Aragorn's behavior all day started to make sense.
Goddess, he had important business to attend to. Zayne was actually torn. Should he attend to business first or meet his mate? He knew once he tended to business, though.
Chances are he will end up in cuffs and may not get the opportunity to meet her. So no, he would meet her first, then explain that he was about to get arrested.
The thought made him laugh.
Soon Zayne and a curious Rafael strode towards the entrance, the entire side of the manor was open, and Zayne was not about to walk through the front doors that were heavily guarded.
Walking into the ballroom, it did not take long for Zayne's wolf eyes to zone in on where the alluring scent was emitting from, and he observed when she noticed something because she had stopped dancing.
However, the ballroom was crowded, and he needed to make his way through to her.
And she still clutched onto that f*cking bastard. Aragorn was at the surface at once, and a guttural growl left his throat; not caring where he was, Aragorn released his full power in a show of dominance.
Yea, his wolf puffed his chest out.
Shattering the chandeliers and some windows nearby.
When she took her eyes off from searching to look at that guy again, 'I would kill him. Who is that guy?' Aragorn roared in Zayne's mind, but another thunderous growl left his throat, and he stepped out into her view.
Zayne's knees almost gave out on him, 'Divine beauty.' Aragorn spoke in a dreamy voice, 'Mate.' He then urged Zayne to move forward, but Zayne could not utter a word or move.
Aubrianne Ivanov
Aubrianne knew, she knew, even though she had never experienced anything like this, she knew. Because at this moment, she just felt like throwing herself at him; she wanted him to wrap her in his warm embrace.
She wanted to melt herself into him literally. And THAT was scary.
'Mate,' Leia declared. However, given her body's reaction, Aurbainne was already wondering about such.
'Oh, thank the Goddess, he listened to me. I told him he was close, to keep going, but I was unsure if he heard me.' Leia purred and gushed, overjoyed.
'What are you talking about? You know what? It does not even matter right now.' Aubriane attempted to try but gave up on understanding what Leia meant.
'I told you, the white wolves revealed themselves to their mate; I just took advantage of that fact, especially when you turned into a wh*re.' Leia snapped, and Aubrianne flinched but could not take her eyes off her mate.
When Leia suddenly apologized.
Her mate was dripping with sex appeal, leaving puddles everywhere he went as he strode towards Aubrianne, her body ablaze just in his presence, her core moist just by his intense gaze.
He smelt so good. Notes of honey, wood, leather, incense, and tonka beans, he was sensual and inviting. Her mouth watered as her heart raced out of her chest.
And with all the effort Aubrianne made to keep herself calm, she almost fainted. She started to feel light-headed and slightly drifted when three hands shot out to catch her.
Daniel, who she was clutching for their life, her dad, lord knows where he came from, and her mate.
Aubrianne looked at the hands in front of her, and she let go of Daniel, releasing her hold on him as if he suddenly scorched her.
And Zayne smirks. He relished that she pulled away and was just as affected as he was. Although before he knew it, a low growl had escaped his throat at the sight of Daniel's arm going around to pull Aubrianne to him.
Aragorn all but challenged everyone here tonight, "MINE." He roared as a wave of possessiveness threatened to take control of him.
Over his dead body, Alpha Thornton thought. His daughter was not mating with this scum of a family. The moment the first growl sounded, his men were alert but watched.
Even though Ivan was missing most of the night, Theo already surmised he was with Jada. But thankful Ivan was already here with the details.
Alpha Thornton knew exactly who this was, the son of a scum. "How the f*ck did he even get this far?"
"Still trying to determine how," Ivan spoke.
Theo gently reached for Aubrianne, but she moved away, completely enthralled, "Listen, sweetie, look, I know I said I would not get involved," Alpha Thornton began, his voice holding an urgency to it.
"And that this decision is yours to make, and that I would not force you to be with your mate like my father did me," He chuckled nervously, "Well, this is me not forcing you to be with your mate, so please, you don't have to do this."
Theo pleaded. However, Aubrianne did not hear a word he said. Both Aubrianne and Zayne stood there, eye-f*cking each other.
