Comforting Reassurances
Finally reaching the bed, Zayne gazed upon his gorgeous innocent mate, the corner of his lips curled up in a side smile at the thought. No, not innocent. She was his little tease.
Recalling that one position where she had spread her legs in a split, she bounced on his hardened length, 'Goddess, you are whipped.' Aragorn had the audacity to tease him when he was in the same boat.
This is precisely what Zayne chided, 'You are one to talk, Mr. Divine Beauty.'
'Our mate might be pissed that we woke her, but I know she would be hurt if we didn't let her know.' Aragorn spoke the truth.
Zayne gently got back into the same position, pulling Aubrianne flush against him as he spoke in her ear softly; well, he tried; however, it sounded like a low rumble, at least to Aubrianne, whose eyes instantly shot open at the sensations that rumbled caused her.
It sent precious vibrations through her.
She quickly half-turned and looked up at her mate, excitement already dancing in her eyes, and Zayne could not help but chuckle at his little firecracker, "No, baby, none of that; I have something important to talk to you about."
His tone was severe but warm. He touched the tip of Aubrianne's nose as if playfully scolding her at 'none of that,' and Aubrianne blushed profusely and hid her face when Zayne captured her chin and tilted her head up.
He kissed her forehead, "You don't ever have to hide from me."
Aubrianne blinked at her mate and blinked again as she processed what he said, then softly kissed his lips in response; when she pulled away, she asked, "Ok, tell me, what's up? Did something happen?"
Aubrianne tried tuning in her senses. She sensed an underlying sadness within her mate, and she instantly did not like it.
"Baby, what's wrong?" She sat up instantly, escaping Zayne's arms.
Zayne followed. He sat up, one leg stretched out and one bent at the knee. He relaxed a hand on it. "There was an attack back home. Rafael got us on the last flight out."
"Oh, Goddess, babe, Nooooo. I am so sorry to hear this; she reached for him, her body slanting to face him on the bed, snaking her hands around his neck and hugging him tightly.
Aubrianne's heart cracked at her mate's despair. She honestly could not imagine what he must be going through.
But she figured it was immense; he was an Alpha. At age, Twenty-Six, he was the leader of his community and had been leading them well for years since he took over from his father, and now his community was attacked AGAIN.
They needed to put an end to these people.
"Babe, I am so sorry," She cooed again.
"We leave in an hour," Zayne stroked her back comfortingly as they spoke.
Suddenly, Aubrianne flew out of his embrace again, and this time, off the bed, "An hour?" She shouted, wide-eyed, "Oh, goodness, I have to pack."
Aubrianne ran into her closet and started scanning through random things, her mind frantic, unsure of what even to pack or where to start.
This was his community, and the people would look at her as their Luna. She needed to represent herself, as she was about to shout for Jada in their mental connection. Zayne broke her concentration, and she was unhappy with what he said next.
"Baby. Baby, wait, slow down... I meant we, as in Rafael and me." Zayne approached Aubrianne in her closet, and he reached for her, wrapping his arms around her comfortingly.
She welcomed his comfort and craned her neck up at him, eyebrows furrowed, and eyes dimmed, "Why, I would love to be there for you; surely you cannot expect me to sit back here?"
Aubrianne said, her tone determined with a hint of sadness that he would even think she would not want to be there for him.
"No, of course, I don't, that is not it..."
"Then what is it?" Aubrianne eagerly asked, cutting him off.
"Babe, you can come after your trip, remember? You must unbind your powers." Zayne tried to speak reason. Frankly, the idea that she was doing this was the only thing keeping him sane right now.
"Babe, I want to be there for you," Aurbianne declared.
Zayne bent down and rested his forehead on Aubrianne's. He inhaled deeply, "Baby, please," Zayne pleaded, his voice strained at the idea of this being prolonged.
"The only thing keeping me sane was knowing that I would get to mark you soon... please, baby."
Realization dawned on Aubrianne, and she wrapped her arms around his neck; Zayne bent lower and inhaled her scent deeply in the crook of her neck.
"Please go as planned and get unbounded; then you can come over; I can arrange your trip over," Zayne assured.
Aubrianne kissed his lips, "Ok, I will, but I am coming over there as soon as I am done, and no one will stop me, ok?"
Zayne nodded and smiled at her order. He just needed to be able to mark his mate; he could not have HIS white wolf out there unmarked.
The two shared a sweet moment of give and take; they held each other, and Aubrianne suddenly realized he was leaving her soon. Her heart constricted; she was not prepared for this.
She thought they had more time.
Nevertheless, she was determined to get this done and then visit Zayne's pack.
The pair spent time simply holding each other tightly for the few moments they still had with each other, with no sex. They merely held onto each other as if they would never see each other again.
They lay facing each other, legs intertwined, Zayne's arms around her tightly, and Aubriane's head resting on his upper chest. Their emotions, through their bond, did the talking.
Love, need, compassion, want, fear, longing, determination, care, concern, worry...their emotions ran freely.
Their hearts beat as one as Zayne welcomed her comfort and support. He drew from her love and compassion, preparing himself for what he would face when he landed.
Too soon, they emerged from Aubrianne's bedroom dressed for the Airport, and the crew was out there. They had already heard the news as they were there when Rafael finally got through.
Shawn and Kirrah offered to join them with Aubrianne, as they would be with Aubrianne on her trip, while Jada offered to arrive after that, as she and Ivan planned a getaway.
Using her time away with Aubrianne as an excuse for her being away, and Ivan used a conference as an excuse.
And soon, Zayne, Rafael, Kirrah, Shawn, and Jada were off to the Airport. Her security and support.
Her father also had a team following the group for extra security.
At the Airport, it was depressing and yet romantic at the same time to watch the pair. Two love birds saying goodbye, though they were carrying on as if they wouldn't see each other for the following year.
Aubrianne hooked onto Zayne like a Koala while Zayne's hands desperately searched, sought, and stroked every part of her.
He held below her a$$, caressed her body, then the hand stopped the caresses and moved to the side of her face as they kissed passionately the entire time.
After checking in, there was a fifteen-minute wait because it was tough for either of them to pull away from each other's embrace earlier, back at the manor.
Aubrianne was in Zayne's arms, and he missed her already, but Zayne knew he was needed and had to be there for his community.
All that could be heard in this empty terminal was the pair's hurried, breathless, and frantic kisses, their erotic moans and growls.
They knew what they needed to do was equally important, but that did not make the separation easier.
The others had stepped off to the side and let the pair have their moment.
And as Aubrianne held her mate and kissed him goodbye, she could not hold back the tears; her heart ached in her chest, and her body shook with need and fear. However, she greedily swallowed all the comfort she was currently gaining in his arms.
"Good morning, passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight 8964 to Ragnuff City. We are now welcoming those passengers with small children and any passengers requiring special assistance to begin boarding now."
"Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes' time. Thank you."
The voice on the PA system sounded. However, the pair are lost in their world.
The voice spoke again, repeating, and still, the pair did not pull apart; Zayne stood there with Aubrianne, still wrapped like a koala, as they kissed and nibbled their way into sweet, comforting reassurances.
