Unspoken Words
Martha finally spoke, "Unless, on the day it happened, some of your mother's magic was drawn somewhere else upon release."
But that confused Martha even more because the only person the magic would be drawn to was the owner of the spell, Aubrianne's mother!
Martha held her tongue. She needed to figure out where to begin with such information.
A witch's magic was designed to protect them, and Martha knew magic didn't lie. However, she did not want to give false hope. She needed to look into this some more.
"You know what, I will look into this some more, but don't worry, that will not affect what we will achieve today. I am more than capable enough to unbind your powers."
Martha reassured a confused Aubrianne, a warm and tender motherly smile playing on her lips.
"But could you explain to me again from when the box opened?" Martha then asked again.
Aubrianne sighed again and relayed the story again. She was patient. Martha may need to know how to approach unbinding her powers.
When the tale was relayed again, Martha said, "Hmn, ok, interesting, well, we have a day ahead of us. I suggest we get started."
And it was then that Martha took Aubrianne to her private room. She does all her magic, spells, or incantations in this room.
Aubrianne was surprised at the sight, although she did not know why she expected it to be all doom and gloom. Where she was expecting dark-colored walls, it was white.
She was expecting dark-colored candles, but only white candles were lit there. The only thing she expected that was there was the hum of magic and the books.
The room had a large bookshelf. Aubrianne surmised that these were her personal and private collections as she did pass a library last night.
There was also a large table with books scattered about it. Some closed while some were laid open. Three chairs around it and a massage-type-looking table-bed close by.
Aubrianne was also expecting dim lighting. However, in there was very bright.
Martha swept her hand over the massage bed, "Please lie down and empty your mind."
Aubrianne bit her bottom lip nervously; so much was going through her mind, like how her mate was doing, and her worry about him was overwhelming. The concern for herself and the fact that she needed to learn as much as she could, as fast as she could- was overpowering.
But she lay down and tried...
Twenty minutes later, "Your mind is racing, Dear. You must relax and clear your thoughts. Your mate will be fine. You will be OK." Martha spoke after observing Aubrianne.
Aubrianne's eyes opened. Damn it, she could not hide from this witch, "Not many can, but you can try." Martha spoke again.
"Stop doing that. Now how am I going to relax?" Aubrianne complained.
Martha swore she had a moment of deja vu, but in her case, it was the other way around, and the person intruding on her mind was Athalia, and she was the complaining Aubrianne.
She could not help the smile that appeared on her lips.
"Just breathe and relax, don't think of anything at all," Martha reassured, sitting close, over by the table, flipping through the pages of a thick, antique book titled 'Planes and Realms.'
Aubrianne tried again. This time, it took her about an hour to calm her mind and nerves when Martha's hands suddenly moved vigorously over Aubrianne's chest as she spilled out incantations.
Soon Aubrianne was embraced by a white light, like back when she first opened the box. On seeing this, Martha left the room and locked the door.
Leaving Aubrianne to go through the motions, she will be out for a while. Her magic, once released fully, a flurry of things would happen at once, and one of them is her gifts.
Her gifts would blossom and take form, and that process would take some time, and Aubrianne would experience some discomfort.
Three hours later, the house was fully awake, Jada was outside Aubrianne's door, waiting patiently for her friend to emerge, and she started pacing, getting a bit worried.
Kirrah and Shawn had checked in a few times. However, they were more with the security detail.
Two teams were active, one encircling the mansion and the outskirts while the other roamed the mansion's halls.
While Kirrah and Shawn checked in on them for updates and ensured they had all they needed, even if it was to get them a bottle of water or a snack.
At this point, Jada needed to ask her mother for the umpteenth time about the process, but as she was about to step away from the door, she placed her ear, checking in on Aubrianne one more time.
This time she heard movements, and Jada did not wait. She unlocked the door and rushed in; however, what she saw and felt, left her speechless and unable to stand.
Jada fell to her knees as she struggled under the power radiating intside the room. Aubrianne was levitating off the ground, wrapped in a cocoon of shimmering white lights with a hint of a blue hue, her hair flowing as if a fan was placed directly in front of her and blowing.
Her eyes glowed that exquisite shade of blue; it seemed her hair was longer, and her skin was suddenly paler.
The magic in her sparked and sent out little spark-like fireworks. Jada did not move or say a word. Then she attempted to back out of the room, now crouched on the floor, not wanting to disrupt anything.
However, as she turned to crawl away on her hands and knees, 'Please stay with me.' Aubrianne spoke in her mind, and Jada's body visibly relaxed to hear her voice.
She stopped her crawl, nodded, and sat where she was on the floor; she dared not move.
One hour later, Aubrianne descended to the floor, magic - gorgeous blue sparking on her fingertips.
"Are you ok?" Jada spoke, getting off the floor and dusting her hands even though the floor was not dirty.
Aubrianne looked down at her sparking hands, "Yea...I feel good, great even."
Aubrianne felt an immense amount of power coursing through her, she could quickly tell what Martha did worked, and Leia was talking, her voice sounding far away in her mind.
Leia was amazed and yipped, 'We are so strong and powerful, plus we can control the elements - plants, warm and cold energy, soil, minerals, water, and air.'
"Interesting," Aubrianne spoke aloud and explained at Jada's raised eyebrow. "We can control the elements."
"Oh, Aubrianne, that is awesome; the last witch to control all seven elements was considered the strongest of them all; she lived for centuries and led their people to freedom against the humans in the 1600s."
All the witches knew the story of the infamous elemental witch.
Aubrianne stepped forward and felt like she was walking on air. She looked down and realized her feet were on the ground, but she took another step, which was the same.
Wideeye, "Even my steps feel different."
A smiling Jada said, "As if you are walking in the clouds, huh?"
Aubrianne nodded, but her eyes immediately went back to her feet.
"That is normal, but you are grounded. Don't be scared of it. Your magic is causing you to glide differently." She smiled warmly at Aubrianne, "Now come on, Mom is waiting for you out in the garden."
Jada then took Aubrianne to her mom's, and Aubrianne watched her feet the entire trip. It was so weird to her. This would take some getting used to.
Nevertheless, the rest of Aubrianne's day was a bust. She could not focus for the life of her. She had pushed herself over and over at Martha's instructions and directions.
The pressure she placed on herself was thick in the atmosphere.
Her first step was harnessing her magic, which she did flawlessly, as she and Jada were already working on that.
But when it came to getting her gifts to work to her benefit, rather than doing all sorts of craziness, that worked in her defense in that parkade.
She struggled immensely to get it right.
Tuesday ended, Wednesday came and went, and they had not made any progress.
Aubrianne had gone through trial and error from sun up till sundown, pushing herself to the brink. Needing to learn as quickly as possible to get back to her mate and join this fight.
By the end of Wednesday's session, Aubrianne said, "No, I am not."
However, no one had said anything. It was just Aubrianne and Martha, and Martha was beginning to think she was too focused on her mate to get anything right.
Too focused on her failures and getting stuck in her mind.
Martha flew off her chair and stared at Aubrianne wide-eyed as she wondered if Aubrianne knew what she had just done.
She heard Martha's thoughts and answered her unspoken words.
