Sleeping Beauty
Alpha Thornton held the phone and crushed it before he could threaten Dr. Nathan. No. One thing he would never do is go at him unprepared without information. He would not further look the fool to this mere human.
Plus, he did not want Ivan nor Jada to know who he was talking to, not to mention Ivan was already suspicious of him, he reasoned.
"Aubrianne has been kidnapped," Ivan said and took control because he knew Thornton would not be capable of thinking clearly after hearing such news.
His eyes were changing from black to red, and he was about to lose control. Ivan told him to breathe, "Deep breaths," he said as he motioned.
Then Ivan grappled with his phone and started making arrangements as he updated the guy who was still on the phone with them, and they went back and forth with updates and information.
Open communications on both ends while Jada sat in a trance on a nearby plush sofa, trying to connect with Aubrianne or Shawn, and now Alpha Thornton sat frozen and unmoving…
Epilogue
Two years ago...
A beautiful blonde-haired beauty walked with purpose and authority as she followed the secretary of the Chief of Staff to the President of TL.
She had one thing on her mind, as she always did, and this was the third time they met to discuss a very precious matter close to her heart.
She strongly believes that wolves must be held accountable for their actions in a court of law, with public opinions and input.
The young gentleman led her into the meeting room and quickly left. Straightening her shoulders, she held her head high, walked to her seat, and said, with a steady voice, "Good Evening Mr. President."
She addressed, then slightly tipped her head as she said, "Gentlemen." In acknowledgment to the others in the room.
"Mrs. White." They all chorused and nodded to her. The room consisted of the President of TL, Mr. Ned Riley, his right hand on everything he does, Alpha Theodore Thornton, and the Vice President, Mr. Duke Heywood.
The head of National Security, Mr. Mitch Manning, and Mrs. Nadera White, a wealthy woman who bought her seat at the table with her husband's wealth.
She was well respected by the men in the room. However, they always butted heads when it comes to a particular matter.
And as usual, they were arguing for hours, with none willing to back down on their decision.
Mrs. White wants more sinister punishments for wolves, and she has been fighting for that bill to be passed. However, her punishment was death for every level of crime, leaving no wiggle room.
She had no remorse.
Remorse went out the door when her daughter was found in pieces, torn apart by her kind. She held herself above them and turned her back on them all, labeling them savages.
But she had hit a roadblock at every turn and that roadblock came in the form of a wolf by the name of Alpha Theodore Claude Thornton.
And as such, she now considered him her enemy. She finally realized, or maybe she convinced herself, that he was the only thing standing in her way of getting what she wanted.
She was even tempted to simply go on television and incite the people. She was sure she had enough evidence to paint just the picture she would have wanted the public to see.
But too many humans were still in the dark about magical beings, and the government wanted to keep them that way and contain this as long as they possibly could.
This meant such an act would be a death sentence for her. She had to be smart. She was fighting for that to change also.
But again, there were more roadblocks. She felt like the sky could be falling, and they would not budge on any of her wants and needs.
This bill, these meetings have been behind closed doors with only a few privy to it. And the few votes did not budge in their decision.
Well, you win some, you lose some, she thought. But she will not give up. She has resorted to all-out bribery, yet nothing. Who was this Alpha Thornton? That he held so much sway over these people.
So, it was never more transparent than in that moment. Mrs. White would get to know her enemy's every move. Then he had to go.
Thornton has to go.
Present Day...
Anger and rage consumed her, consumed her for years. It had gripped her entire being.
She had a fiery rage and was utterly consumed by a deep-seethed hatred for wolf-kind.
After all these years, she never wavered in her steadfast pursuit of retribution for her daughter, and she had been patient.
She was very patient, but now, she was so close she could almost taste it.
Soon wolf-kind would pay and answer for their crimes. She smiled, but it was cold and wicked.
She looked down at the miracle sleeping like sleeping beauty to her right. This being just fell into her hands. She could not believe her suspicions were true.
After getting her hands on what her son had recently been obsessed with by way of his men, she found a sample of a very peculiar blood type.
The makings were of one she had seen once in her lifetime, and it was the blood sample of the last white wolf that lived.
This changes things drastically. A white wolf is the only being strong enough to survive a transmigration with someone dead for over ten years.
She tenderly stroked the tank that housed a young woman.
Years later, with magic and science at play, it was no longer that same teen girl in the tank. The young girl was now a woman, and that woman in the glass cylindrical tank no longer looked like Frankenstein, all stitched up.
The stitches were a pale white line, the body simply floats and is still connected to a bunch of tubes.
The woman stroking the tank felt like the possibilities were limitless, because of this miracle.
She momentarily took her eyes away from the tank to glance at the miracle. Even though there were so many options, one thing screamed at her more than anything else, her eyes flickered back to the tank, and that was to get her daughter back….
But who says she can't do both things? Getting Alpha Thornton to bend to her will and still keep his daughter, only it would no longer be HIS daughter.
She smiled again wickedly...
Nadera White is a fierce force to be reckoned with. Some might describe her as the she-devil. But she was not always like that.
She loved her human husband. Most might say he was the only person she loved other than her daughter who died years ago and kicked this madness into action.
All this was because of a daughter she loved and lost too soon. But now things were about to change.
Meanwhile, Aubrianne was out cold, completely unaware of her surroundings and all that was happening around her...
Dear My Lovely Readers,
My apologies for ending so abruptly, but this is only half the story and we are already at over two hundred chapters. I am so sorry, but I do not want to end up with a book that holds five hundred chapters.
Hence the reason for part two, this story has surely grown and I am moving where it leads.
Diaries of a Hybrid and Her Mate Two will be dropping soon, stay tuned...
Updates will resume shortly.
