Magic Within!
Aubrianne Ivanov
To say that Jada's curiosity spiked all the way up was an understatement. On hearing the news of Aubrianne's Dad, Jada's eyebrows went up in surprise, and then one remained up in question as she narrowed her eyes.
Because the latest was the conversation they had on the phone when Jada had just asked Aubrianne the question about Mr. Thornton being her father, but when Aubrianne asked, 'Based on what?'
Jada knew she could not answer Aubrianne without giving herself away.
Another one of her embarrassing moments, yip, she had hung up, then immediately left the club to head back home before coming to see Aubrianne.
But you know what? All that does not matter. She was here now and more focused and determined than ever. Plus, Jada realizes she may have little explaining to do by the looks of things.
She felt a tinge of relief knowing she did not have to explain the entire 'Magical Creatures situation.'
However, she would tell Aubrianne everything only after they dealt with her 'father' situation. By reading the room and the atmosphere, Jada assumed this was the first encounter.
So this would be interesting, Jada thought.
They hadn't even settled in properly at the time. They had just made it to the living area, where Jada still stood a bit awkwardly.
Jada's thoughts were interrupted…
"So Aubrianne, this is your friend?" Mr. Grey asked curiously before exiting. He turned to look at Aubrianne when she did not answer.
Daniel spoke up, confirming his question when they all realized Aubrianne's frozen state.
Then Daniel introduced Jada to his Dad, and the trio sized each other up, knowing full well who was the wolf and who was a witch.
However, they did not sense anything malicious from each other, yet still, they couldn't be so sure, as magical beings can become masters at masking their true intentions.
Mr. Grey and Daniel wanted to know if this witch wanted to harm Aubrianne, and also Jada wished to understand what these wolves' intentions were with her bestie.
And because clearly, she had missed a lot since she spoke to Aubrianne, and she wanted to know what the hell was going on!
Jada knew that Aubrianne was a white wolf, a hybrid at that. They had to be very careful with who they trusted.
After the introductions, Mr. Grey says, "Well, welcome to Transcendent Lotharios. I do hope you enjoy your stay. It's a pleasure meeting one of Aubrianne's friends."
Jada snickers in her mind as she randomly thinks, 'I may be her only friend.'
"Likewise, Mr. Grey, I am excited to be here in any way I can for Aubrianne." Jada made sure to splice that in. She knew they had questions, and so did she.
Daniel and Mr. Grey visibly relaxed at Jada's words, and Mr. Grey said, "Well, I am glad to hear it, she will need those closest to her, and we will be here for her as well in any way that she would have us."
Mr. Grey sensed that Jada was sizing them up as they were sizing her up.
Now that it was out in the open, both sides simply vowed to keep an eye on the other. Each of them is still overprotective of Aubrianne.
Mr. Grey more so because Alpha Thornton would have his head. Jada because she always looked out for Aubrianne, and now it was more than that. Scratch that! It has always been more than that.
Plus, Daniel, because he was starting to feel a type away for his Alpha. A way that is more than an Alpha Beta relationship. A way a beta should not be feeling for his Alpha, especially if that Alpha was not his mate.
With that, Mr. Grey said his goodbyes to Aubrianne and Jada as he made his way outside to brief Mr. Thornton on the latest developments.
On seeing Aubrianne's sculptured, statuesque form, he told Daniel, "Please do tell Aubrianne about my departure when she comes to."
Aubrianne had frozen like an unmoving ice sculpture from the moment Leia informed her that their Dad was there.
After a moment, when the frozen statuesque Aubrianne still does not respond, Jada and Daniel simply look at her, not knowing what to do or say.
Jada thought she should give it a try, seeing that she spoke 'Aubri.'
"Aubrianne? Honey, you ok?" Jada cooed as she slowly reached out to touch Aubrianne's shoulder, trying not to startle her but simply help her snap out of this state of shock, maybe surprise, or was it fear?
Jada wonders.
Aubrianne's emotions were going off the rails. Jada couldn't quite tell for sure exactly which emotion stood out the most.
She knew Aubrianne was perturbed. She felt that much.
Aubrianne, gradually coming out of her shocked state at Jada's voice and the touch of her hands, slowly slid onto the couch she had felt behind her knees.
Jada then inches closer, scooting closer to Aubrianne, sitting on the couch now with wide eyes and a blank stare.
She and Daniel watched each other again, Daniel still there standing awkwardly.
Then they looked back at Aubrianne. None of them said a word simply because they really did not know how to approach the situation, and Jada did not know what else to say.
They suddenly got quiet.
'It is going to be ok, just breathe, ok? Just breathe,' Leia comforts and reassures Aubrianne. 'Now snap out of it. They are watching us.'
When Aubrianne snapped out of it and focused her bright eyes, she saw three pairs of eyes staring back at her.

Alpha Theodore Claude Thornton
Mr. Thornton had just entered and greeted Jada and Daniel, already knowing who Jada was, as his Beta Ivan had filled him in.
Mr. Thornton was curious, though, as to why this witch was hanging around his daughter because, from what he heard, they were close friends back in Clifton Hill.
What was she doing here now?
What was this witch's angle? Did she know Aubrianne was his daughter? No, that is impossible.
Nevertheless, she was loved by his daughter, and so he would secretly investigate this Jada character.
'Before you say anything, please know that she is her best friend, so watch your words carefully.' Knowing his Alpha fully well, Ivan had warned him and wanted to caution him about his approach.
Aubrianne was in a new place, experiencing and learning new things about herself. She would need her friend, someone she could lean on, and that is not you right now.
So do not try to come between them. You may end up pushing Aubrianne away in your attempts. Remember, your relationship right now is up in the air.
He had growled at Ivan dangerously at that last statement. It did not sit well with him.
But as eager as he was to get to know his daughter, he had changed his demeanor and calmed his wolf, Osouf, because he would not risk losing her after finally having her there.
He had waited for a year, and now he was beginning to think that was the worst decision he could have made.
Allowing her to graduate from college and get her degree. Theo truly wanted that solid education for his daughter. He wanted that experience for her before being introduced to his world.
The thought of springing all this on her and the chance that it may distract her from her current path was not an option for Theo.
He wanted her mind clear and focused.
He had felt strongly about this personally because of the fact that both his sons' lacked ambition and education. They were useless snobs, though he loved his boys dearly!
He was hoping and praying to the Divine Mood Goddess that his selfish actions of leaving her out there to complete her studies without distraction would not cause him to lose her altogether.
Theo prayed she would understand and forgive him.
He had so many plans for his baby girl, 'our female pup.' His wolf confirmed, pride rolling off of him. He was the proudest papa in the world.
Not to mention, Ivan had told him about the incident of her changing, turning into her wolf. Gosh, he wished he had been there to witness such an event occur. He was jealous of Ivan. Jealousy had reared its ugly head in a big way.
But knowing there was a high chance of seeing it for himself was all that had consoled him on the matter.
They had discussed taking her to see a witch he knew of. He believes her wolf was suppressed, and since her change, he has sensed a change in her aura. It was powerful, and Ivan also felt magic within.
'That must be her mother in her,' Theo had said casually, but his heart was bleeding. He missed Athalia every day, and ever since Theo had met Aubrianne a year ago, he had wondered about all the possibilities had he known about her.
