Condensed Milk!
Aubriane Ivanov
Aubrianne could not believe her eyes. No, they were deceiving her. What?
Jada was here, yes, Jada! What the heck? How? Was something wrong?
Sh!t that, it did not matter. Whatever it was, they would deal with it together, like they always did.
All that truly mattered to Aubrianne was the fact that Jada was there. She had her best friend, who had been a constant for so long, here right now, with her, and she was elated.
Literally high on joy, these past few days have been tormenting for Aurbianne.
She was dealing with a lot in a new place, and she was alone, and worse, she needed Jada, and Jada had not been answering her phone.
Too excited to even stand still, Aubrianne ran straight for Jada.
But the gate was actually still closed, thanks to Aubrianne taking off and forgetting the buzzer. So they fought and struggled to squeeze and hug each other through the barriers.
"Oh my god, I was so worried about you. Oh, Jada, what are you doing here? How did you find me?" Aubrianne rattles out question after question, Jada not getting a chance to answer one before another was asked.
All in-between hugs, stolen glances at Jada--still not believing her eyes, and squeezes as if ensuring Jada was indeed there.
Daniel had come out to see what the commotion was about, and observing the pair, he shook his head as he smiled and pressed the buzzer.
He stood by the doorway and watched the pair curiously, how Aubrianne's world lit up, how this person's face lit up at Aubrianne.
The pair separated as the gate clicked open for Jada to get in, and finally able to speak, she exhaled and said, "I know, I know, but I am ok."
Looking around, as she sensed magical energy, she saw Daniel in the doorway, and she could tell instantly that he was a werewolf.
Sighing at the memory of why she was here in the first place, then a tremble rumbled through her. Settling her nerves, she said, "But, long story though, we have plenty of time to discuss it and why I am here."
Jada had a lot to unpack on Aubrianne. She herself needed time for this confession, and besides Aubrianne had company, she told herself, now was definitely not a good time.
Though there was a nagging in the back of her mind as she wondered if the wolf would blow her cover before she got the chance to speak with Aubrianne on a one-on-one because things could go haywire real fast.
And by that time, it may be too late for Aubrianne to even want to listen to reason.
Jada knew just as she could sense another magical being, so could he. Supernatural beings can feel and sense each other by their aura, clearly distinguishing magical beings from humans.
In true Jada fashion, however, she pivots, lifting an eyebrow in question at Aubrianne. She asked and teased Aubrianne, "And who might this fine specimen be? Look at you. It has only been what?" Jada paused dramatically, then said pointedly, "Two days?"
"Need any help, girls?" Daniel intervened from the doorway.
"Sure, why thank you." Jada replies, bats her eyelashes, then whispers, but she knows that the wolf will be able to hear her, "So Aubri, just who is this tall drink of condensed milk?"
A blushing Daniel came up to take Jada's luggage and travel bags as Aubrianne did the introductions uncomfortably with a wave of her hand because of Jada's teasing in front of Daniel.
"Daniel, this is Jada, my best friend from Clifton Hill, and Jada, this is Daniel, my colleague from work, who has been helping me get settled in."
Pausing in his actions to secure the travel bag, he reached a hand out to Jada, and they shook hands. Then Daniel made his way inside with the luggage while Jada, the ever-curious friend, poked at Aubrianne about Daniel as they made their way inside the house.
"So you said he is helping you get settled in?"
Though nothing was happening between her and Daniel, Aubrianne still blushed. Waving Jada off, she rolls her eyes, "Oh my god Jada, STOP, No, stop, it is nothing like that."
"Er, so what's it like then, huh?" Jada pokes. By this time, they had entered the home, and Jada was impressed as she glanced around.
"Like I said, he helped me settle in, you know, he picked me up from the Airport. Jada, I told you this on the phone stop teasing, and he took me with him when he went to buy that sexy baby you see out there, and we went to the mall."
Aubrianne looks at Jada pointedly and says, "There, now you are fully updated on everything. Happy now?"
Ok, that's it, Leia thought. She would toy with Jada. Only she can tease Aubrianne.
Jada giggled, then said, "Oh Aubri, you know I can't help but tease you. But on a serious note, you are a virgin, my innocent friend, and remember the last person you wanted to give it up to? Look how that turned out. I would say wait for that special someone, don't rush."
Jada advised, but she wanted to say more and elaborate on Aubrianne waiting for her special someone to be her mate, but that would lead to her now having to explain how she knew about these things, and she had already agreed now, was not the time.
Especially as she did not know what she walked into, as she could also sense a stronger wolf inside. Plus, what was going on with Aubrianne? She was almost glowing.
It has been literally two days, and she looks different but the same.
"Your friend is right. You should wait for that special someone, and for magical beings, that would mean our fated mate, the one destined for us, created by the Divine Moon Goddess. Anyways, I will have to fill you in on some more things later." Daniel had spoken while Jada was in her thoughts.
Jada briefly wondered if she was losing her mind but shook that thought off as she knew something was different with Aubrianne. She could tell. For starters, she suddenly felt the sizzling of the bond her mother Martha had spoken of.
They were imprinting, witch and wolf. The witch, protector of the White Wolf. Was Aubrianne feeling this too?
And by the energy, wait....was that power coming from Aubrianne all this time?
And wait, did Daniel say something about magical beings? In front of Aubrianne?
Now that all the adrenaline and hype from her entrance was wearing down, Jada had started focusing her senses on her surroundings and the energies radiating in the atmosphere. Who was the source?
Goddess, what did I walk in on? Did Aubrianne know? Jada questioned, feeling like such a fraud, when...
"Hey Jada, are you ok?" Aubrianne's warm and caring voice snapped Jada out of her crazy mind.
Leia snickered, 'I unmasked more of our power.'
'Leia, why did you do that? Remember, I need time to talk to her first.'
Aubrianne was hoping that Leia would have stuck to their plan. 'Oh, puhlease, it was my plan. You were gaping at Jada like a lost puppy. Leia sassed ever so elegantly, snout pushed up, head tilted to the side, emphasizing her fake dislike of Aubrianne calling her plan theirs.
Or one might argue that someone may already be feeling a little left out!
Jada sighed heavily, "No, I am not, but now is not the time. It can wait." Jada said while eyeing Daniel.
'Yes, you both have loads to discuss,' Leia confirms.
Aubrianne fully understood Jada's hesitance as she had guests, plus she was dealing with a lot on this long and never-ending evening, and her Father was on his way. So now definitely was not a good time.
She and Jada needed their one on one girl time because Jada's mind would be blown once she heard what Aubrianne had to say.
'Or maybe not.' Leia chirped.
'Stay.out.of.my.mind,' Aubrianne warned, then rolled her eyes. 'But what do you mean maybe not? You and these cryptic comments?'
'Ha, novice, can't even block your thoughts yet. Don't worry. I have lots to teach you.'
'Shut up, Leia.' Aubrianne scolds. 'Now tell me!'
'No. no, now is not the time, remember?' Leia now sings songs.
'Fine.' Aubrianne gave up.
"Ok, hey, why don't we start with a quick t….." Trying to shake things up, Aubrianne was about to offer Jada a tour as they killed some time waiting for her dad to arrive.
'Oh, by the way, our dad is here…' Leia perks up. She had felt the pull of the bond in close proximity before Aubrianne could fully process that.
Aubrianne could sense her wolf's excitement. Leia was literally wagging her gorgeous, furry, white tail.
"Your dad is here, oh, and hello, dear." Mr. Grey appeared in the living room with Daniel behind him.
