Chapter 17: Jealousy and Surprise visits.

KIKI.

I was mad. I was furious. That man called the damn big boss had to be insane to have suggested such a degrading thing to me. And the way he humiliated me, insisting that he could have me if he wanted. That killed me on the spot.

Why did they all have to be the same?

Insanely handsome yet cocky and dripping with every bit of arrogance.

I just couldn't believe he had promoted me just so he could have me in his bed. He was trying to use a cocky means to get me. What was it with men trying to get themselves into my pants? Couldn't they just like me for me? My talent, skills and others?

“Ughh!" I groaned angrily. I felt like walking back in there to bash his head on the wall. That would teach him not to walk over the poor.

I walked by the PA, daring a glance at her. She was staring at me, a smirk on her face. Like she just knew that I've been humiliated. I wouldn't be surprised if she got here the same way. I hissed, glaring hard at her, and went straight for the elevator.

I felt my anger rise when I remembered the things he said about Claire. He had called her a frenemy. Just because she acts all slutty to get a few notes doesn't give him the right to call her that. He had no freaking right.

I soon got back to the ground floor, my base. When I stepped in, it was in the hands of my coworkers. They were right where I left them, still discussing. From their tones, they were worried about me. I found their gesture sweet.

“She's here,” Leo announced when he saw me. The rest turned towards me and soon started to rush towards me.

“How did it go Kiki?” Rose was the first to ask. “What happened? What did he say?” She demanded, curious and worried about me. I stared at the rest of them, their eyes were on me curious to hear what had happened.

I sighed and started to tell them what he said and did. “He wanted to promote me to the position of a PA,” I announced.

They gasped. Dramatically.

“Are you serious?”

“Christ, how?”

“Is this a joke, Kiki?”

“What?!”

They gave their different responses, clearly not believing me. I rolled my eyes and sighed. “Stop looking at me like I'm lying, Leo. Have I ever lied to you before? It's the truth.” I confirmed his doubts.

“I was stupefied. Why would he do that? And I grew suspicious as to why he would do that. I am just a common sales associate after all.” I told them. “So, I started to sense that there was something wrong. Well, I figured that he probably wants my body. That, I'm not ready to give him.” I explained. Just like before, they gasped.

“What did you say?” Rose whispered, agitated. “What was your response?” She queried me.

“I said no of course. And yes, I quit the job when he started to humiliate me.” I finished off. I stared at their shocked faces. They were staring at me like a screw was loose in my head. I couldn't care less.

“You can't be serious,” Rose whispered. I shrugged.

“I'm dead serious girl,” I responded.

“She's crazy.” Someone mumbled which only made me grin.

“And I can't believe you guys believed her. You're incredulous.” Sarah began, eyeing me sternly. “You, why would the boss choose you? Just look at yourself, Kiki, tell me why the boss would settle for a person like you, with absolutely no qualifications than that fat body of yours.” She stated. I smiled looking down at myself. I was awed at what I saw.

She tsked, shaking her head. “You think too highly of yourself.” She muttered.

“And I think you're just jealous.” I deadpanned. “Sarah, you are jealous. You know, since you want this. Since you desire to be in my position, all it costs you is taking the ride up the floor to see the boss and tell him of your desires. You might be lucky, he may offer you his bed since you are good at such services.” I concluded. She scoffed, furious at my words, charging toward me.

“You are such a fool. The boss probably fired you and that's why you cooked up those stories to tell. The boss would have a taste. And it wouldn't be you.” She yelled.

“And it's certainly not you either. You know what Sarah, go fuck yourself. Sam is gone and he isn't coming back.” I told her off, hissed, and started to stomp out of the place.

“And so are you scumbag! So are you.” She yelled after me. I didn't stop for a second, I just let her continue to bark while I walked away..

I soon got mixed in the crowd. I didn't want to go home yet. I wouldn't want Jojo to see me in a mood like this so I fished out my phone from my old bag which I had snatched from Rose's grip earlier. I dialed Claire's line but she didn't pick up. I tried again but no response.

I gave up and dialed Julian's line. Since he has been so busy this day, he doesn't call anymore. I didn't waste time dialing his line but just like Claire, he didn't answer his phone. Even after I called for the fifth time. I gave up and settled down on a bench on the sidewalk wondering what to do. Suddenly, an idea sprang into my mind and I embraced it.

I was going to visit Julian. A surprise visit. It was long overdue anyway. So, I got up, found my way to the main station, and got on a bus. The bus ride wasn't long. It wasn't short either. Excited to see Julian, I stepped out of the bus, paid, and headed off to his house..

Julian lived in a well-secured home apartment in one of the best places. Well, things have gotten better for him since he signed the deal with the record label. I entered his house combination code and I was allowed access to the house. As I got into the house, excited to dart into the bedroom to meet him, I stopped short.

I stopped short when I heard it. Loud slurry soft moans.
