Chapter 30: Cranky bosses and Chores.
GIOVANNI.
I snapped out of my reverie when the door pulled open and Matteo stepped in. He looked bothered, bouncing in with his hands shoved into the pocket of his trousers.
“Are you sure about this Gigi?” He asked, an uncertain look on his face. I leaned back in my seat watching him walk to and fro across the room.
“She's barely spent a day yet she has gotten into an argument with Judy. It's not too late Gigi, we can still lay her off ” He adviced. I smiled watching him intently.
“And what would that make us?” I questioned. “Matteo she got the job already. We should give her the benefit of doubt.” I told him. He didn't sound too pleased as he grumbled inaudibly.
“She is not going to be a good partner with Judy.” He commented. I chuckled.
"Yes. It can't work out between them. Judy has been laid off to work for you." I told him.
“What?” He half-screamed. “You shouldn't take that risk, Gigi.” He said, now calmly.
“Matt, I will handle her.” I told him, appreciating his concern.
“Don't say i didn't warn you.” He concluded before walking out of the door. I sighed and brought out the list i had made earlier. Judy walked in just in time and i handed her the list to give to Kiki.
She had only just resumed but i had already prepared a list of chores for her to do for me. I knew she would probably come over when she's gone through them.
I went back to my work, my fingers typing away on the keypad of my laptop. I had work to do yet i couldn't get her image out of my mind. It was always about how sexy she looked or how i would love to kiss those kissable lips of hers.
She was clouding my mind, my senses and every being of me. It made me look like a fool. The door busted open cutting through my thoughts.
“Sir, i don't understand all this you sent to me.” Her fierce tone interrupted me. She was standing before me, akimbo with this curious look on her face.
“Dont you know how to knock?” I demanded, raising a brow. She looked taken aback by my question, her hands crossed together.
“Use your hands first before your mouth.” I told her. She shut her eyes briefly probably to calm herself down.
“That is not why I'm here. I don'tunderstand_”
“I am your boss, Kiki. You will do what i want. What i say, you will do. And you will respect that!” I snapped at her.
She gulped staring at me. Then, she nodded slowly when i didn't back out of the stare contest she started
“Yes, sir.” She added.
“What is on the list that you don't understand? The fact that i don't like wardrobes, closets, bugs or what?” I asked her.
“Not that. But still, why don't you like bugs? I mean, its a thing of nature. With the way you are going on about it, it seems as though it is tied to a past experience or something.” She began, indirectly asking me to tell her why i don't like bugs.
“And you think it's not normal?” I asked her raising a brow.
“I didn't say that, sir.” She mumbled.
“You didn't have to. You already insinuated it.” I snapped. Bugs were touchy topics for me. “Now listen Kiki, i don't care whether or not you think it's normal. All i know is that if i find even the tiniest bug or insect around me,” I stopped for effect. “You will be fired!” I deadpanned, staring sternly at her.
She averted her gaze from mine to look away from me on sensing how serious i was with her. She bit her lips teasingly, maybe in anger that she couldn't say anything to me.
But all i could think about with that action of hers was how sexy she looked pulling the damn flesh between my mouth.
Okay, i had to ask her to leave for my own sanity.
I was mostly feeling this way because i hadnt had a good fuck in months. I needed to have someone warm my bed, asap.
“Leave and send for my driver." I ordered her, easily dismissing her. She had not even said what she wanted to say but i didnt want to hear it
I took a gulp of my water to wash down the thoughts of her as she walked out of my office, almost slamming the door. I grinned, glad that i had gotten to her.
Her mouth would be in check from now on.
I went back to work, typing away furiously on what i was doing. The driver soon knocked on the door and i ordered him in.
“Good morning sir, ” He bowed.
“Morning, Pete.” I responded.
“You have met Kiki right?” I asked him, my eyes fixated on my laptop.
“Yes, sir.” He nodded. I stopped typing to look at him.
“Good. From tomorrow, you will pick her up before six to work. She has to be here by six.” I told him and went back to my work.
“Alright, sir.” He said. “But what she would be doing by six?” He asked.
At that, i stopped typing to pay attention to him. “Pete, am i paying you for you to question my decisions?” I demanded, pissed.
“No, sir.” He shook his head. “I'm so sorry sir.” He apologised.
“You should be.” I told him. “You can go.” I added and he bowed and left.
I smiled when he left as an idea came to me. I exited what i was doing on my laptop, and started to send Kiki a text to delete all my mails. They were more than a thousand mails in my inbox. She would definitely be here to complain.
I smiled and leaned back in my seat.
This was going to be fun.
