92: Stories and doors.
GIOVANNI.
I knew I had gone too far the moment Kiki slapped me, I knew I had overstepped my boundaries and I was honestly trying to repair the damage that I had done. I didn’t plan on it going this way though, I honestly didn’t plan on us having such sexual relation this early morning but I couldn’t resist her, neither could I stop myself as soon as she stepped foot into my office with that badass attitude of hers.
She was in that gorgeous black dress. That dress was the bane of my existence, both my heaven and my hell wrapped in one fucking gorgeous package. It had a neckline that dipped down to accentuate the soft smooth skin of her neck and collarbone, the black fabric clinging perfectly to those gorgeous boobs that my eyes can’t help but take in.
The hem fell just below her knees and it was the sexiest thing I had ever seen. It wasn’t provocative in any way, but there was something about the cut and that dress that gave me blue balls all day whenever she wore it.
Gosh! She drives every part of me crazy. And I think she doesn’t even know it, or maybe she does and is just very good at acting naïve about it.
We were having a good time, a rekindling is what I would probably call it. I’ve missed her, her vibes, her energy, her body and even the taste of her and I was getting it and loving it all until she asked me to stop which I immediately did, but then I had not expected the words that followed.
“I QUIT!” She said sternly as she stretched some stupid white paper in my direction, and then she continued, “I can’t keep working in this toxic work environment with a boss who thinks he can control me. I’m done, Giovanni. You should also call Judy back now, I’m tired of people acting like I was the one who had her sacked or made her loose her job.”
“Of course, you didn’t, Kiki. People say trash and you know that, she’s being sued right now even, for daring to drug you, it’s illegal. Please, Kiki, you really don’t need to quit and give these people that satisfaction that they got to you.” I pleaded as I attempted to hold her hands but she snatched them out of my reach.
“Oh, they got to me. They already got to me, Giovanni. I’m done and I am resigning, you shouldn’t beg for me to stay because that’s unprofessional and unnecessary. It won't change my mind either." She replied, adamant.
I was about to try and change her mind again when my office door bursted open and I was ready to Cuss out whoever it was that thinks they could barge into my office without as much as a knock when Fiorella strutted in.
And she was not alone, the celebrity we were to sign with walked in behind her, followed by his manager, a lady that looked so familiar to me but I couldn’t place where I had met her before. I looked towards Kiki as I mirrored her expression.
It was an obvious uncomfortability.
“If she says she’s resigning, Gigi, why on earth do you need to beg her to stay.” Fifi said, letting me know that she heard part of our conversation, but I couldn’t care less.
Not anymore. I’m not going to loose Kiki for any reason, no way.
“You shouldn’t stoop so low to begging your employees, Gigi. Especially not one that didn’t even get the job based on any certifications or merits! She’s not worth it, at all.” Fifi continued causing me to roll my eyes.
“I’ll decide who is worth what in this company, Fifi, not you. It’s non of your business at all, now, would you let me know why you’re here in my office at this time of the day? It’s barely nine o clock.” I said, a clear irritation in my voice.
“Whateverrrr, Let me introduce you to my friend, her name is Claire. You must have met her already since she was here as Julian’s manager. And baby girl, here's my fiancé. His name is Giovanni, the same one I’ve been talking about for days, isn’t he so charming?” Fifi introduced me as she placed her hands on my waist and rubbed her body against mine.
I shifted uncomfortably as I tried to get away from her but failed, I looked in Kiki’s direction and I couldn’t decipher anything from her expression, it was almost like she didn’t care but I knew that she did.
“Oh, he’s charming of course, Fifi. No doubt about that, I hope that you know what a treasure you have, Mr. Giovanni, I wouldn’t loose Gold all because of copper if I were you.
Claire said with a demeaning tone as she referred to Kiki as a copper.
“Well, that’s what any sensible person will do, Claire. That’s exactly what I’m doing, trying to get the damn copper to leave me the hell alone so I can secure the gold. I don’t need to be told that, I know my gold and I know the copper too.” I replied her with a very harsh glare.
She seemed like she got what I was trying to say but decided against saying anything further but it was obvious that Fifi on the other hand was too dumb to even understand anything I said.
“Better! You better get that copper bitch to leave you the hell alone, baby. That’s good. By the way, did I ever tell you that Julian is Kiki’s ex boyfriend?” At that revelation, I was shocked. I looked in Kiki’s direction as if trying to know if this was true but she still seemed neutral.
“Yes, baby. She dated him and used to lie about having something called vaginismus or some shit like that, meanwhile, she’s out here trying so hard to seduce you. All she should have said was that she didn’t want to give her body to a broke man. She’s a gold digger, a stupid golddigger, that’s all she is. My friend was the one who saved this guy after she broke up with him to focus on getting her claws on you, he was devastated and heartbroken, she even went as far as calling him such derogatory names and broke shaming him, she must be so shocked that he rose above all of that and Is on his way to a huge stardom, I bet she’d be trying to come back now.” Fifi went on and on spitting a stupid cooked up story like she was speaking to a child.
And it was after her story that I suddenly remembered where I had met Claire before and why she seemed so familiar, and then I smirked.
“That’s not how I remember the story though…” I started, excited to put each and everyone of them in their respective places, “last I checked, this one…” I pointed at Claire, “is a very bad person who speaks about her friend in such a bad manner all because she’s trying to get a man, and if my memory is correct, she’s also the same one who slept with her bestfriend’s boyfriend too. Fifi, if you think this is a friend you can keep, then you’re dumber than I’m gave you credits for.” I said, watching Fifi’s face fall in total shock and horror which was probably mostly due to the fact that I had just called her dumb.
But then I wasn’t done, at least, not yet.
“Also, this one you describe as the price is the same man who cheated on his girl with her bestfriend and had the nerve to act like he did absolutely nothing wrong…” I said as I pointed at Julian who looked a little bit embarrassed.
“You know, now that I know all of these, it’s obvious that I’m not going to work with you people, I’m not going to make such terrible persons influence my new product, absolutely not.”
“What… what so you mean by that? We shouldn’t mix private issues with busines, Mr. Callisto. And definitely not because of some bitch…” Julian said before either immediately interrupted him.
“That’s it, Julian, this deal is terminated, there’s the door. LEAVE.”
