93: Heirs and Breakup.
GIOVANNI.
The silence in the room was deafening as soon as I told Julian and his manager or girlfriend to leave my office.
They all looked at me like I was out of my mind for taking whatever this was so personal. But then, before I could speak further, Gaston walked into my office, followed by Matteo.
“On whose account and order are they to leave, Giovanni?” He said as he walked towards me. I rolled my eyes as usual, not I any way surprised. A lot of these people have been coming into my space acting like they have a say over mine and I’ve always allowed them, that’s probably why they think they can speak over me and I’d let them be. What they need to learn however is the fact that I wasn’t going to allow that when it comes to Kiki and I don’t care how they see me.
Simp. Woman wrapper. Weakling. Whatever it is that they have in mind, I don’t give a damn.
“Giovanni, I am talking to you right now, what right do you have to terminate the deal we have with these people over your stupid secretary, huh? Are you out of your goddamn mind?” Gaston continued further as he stalked towards me in a stance ethag he properly thought was a threatening and scary one but just looked like a pussy move to me.
I moved closer to him, looking down at him in a very stern manner, he was a whole foot shorter than I was afterall, “I have every right to do as I want in this company, Gaston! I should be the one asking you why you think you have any say at all in this branch!” I said, standing my ground for the first time in years.
And it felt liberating.
Gaston was shocked, so was Matteo and Fiorella.
“Are… are you seriously telling me that?” Gastom questioned, flabbergasted.
“Of course, I’m talking to you, Gaston. I’m sick of your bullshit attitude already, your stupid attitude of trying to reap where you did not sow. Your wackass attitude of trying to take credits for what you didn’t even do nor contribute any little thing to. I’m not going to stand aside and watch you do that same thing this time around.
“I am the heir to all of these, Giovanni. Father made me the heir,I have every right to any branch at all, I am the eldest, the real child not you. I will not watch you try to covet what you do not deserve, you bastard!” He snapped angrily, resorting to calling me names as usual but I was not fazed, no anymore. I’ve heard those names too many times to be affected by them.
“Heir?” I scoffed and then chuckled in a mocking manner.
“If we are to be honest with eachother, Gaston, who’s giving the heir vibes between us both? You or me? Who’s putting so much work into developing this company and bringing up so much ideas to make sure that we get included in the greatest designer brands or labels in the world, who, Gaston? When last have you even contributed anything meaningful other than taking funds and squandering them, uh? Why do you think dad keeps putting me in charge of meaningful and huge projects? You think it’s because ‘oh, I don’t want to wear my heir out?’ Are you that dumb or are you just consoling yourself with that bullshit? Gaston, do I really need to spell it out to you? Do you really need to be told that father trusts me enough to let me head these things instead of you? Don’t be such a dumbass, bro, and that is why you need to stay out of my way and let me do my damn job, all you do is constitute nuisance, squander money on numerous girls and do illegal car races! Focus on those and leave me and this branch the hell alone, I’ve had it with you already, know your place for Pete’s sake, Ugh!” I said as I completed my ranting, immediately feeling free after letting all I had in my mind out.
Seeing how Gaston was dumbfounded and speechless at my outburdt for the very first time at him, I knew I had to keep it all up and get even thing out of my chest since I have started it all already, might as well finish it.
“And you, Fifi…” I turned towards Fiorella before I continued to speak, “let this be the very last time that you’ll invade into my life for any reason at all. Infact, let this be the last time that you’ll step foot into my office without prior notice or permission. You need to learn to read the room and take the hint, I have told you times without number in ways I felt won’t hurt nor disrespect you but it seems the only language you’ll understand Is violence and shouts. Fiorella Maja, I’m letting you know for the last time right now that I so not have any feelings for you!” I paused as I heard Fiorella and her friend gasp loudly in a very dramatic way.
One would think I’ve not told her this same thing one hundred and fifty times already!
I continued after rolling my eyes, “I don’t like you, Fifi. Not even as a friend not to even talk about a fiancé, I don’t want anything at all to so with you for any reason, your presence alone makes me uncomfortable and irritated and you need to tone down on your desperate actions on me, it’s disgusting and unattractive. You’re too beautiful to treat yourself that way, it’s obsessive, you can do better. So please, stop embarrassing yourself and laying ridiculous claims on me, I am not your Fiancé, not anymore, I’m breaking g yo whatever agreement or fake shit we might have right now and I hope you finally give it all up, it’s high time you do.” I finished as I watched Fifi start to sob dramatically.
“All these because of her? Gigi baby, you’re breaking up with me because of this thing?” She said, crying.
“Oh please, Fifi. It’s not a break up if we didn’t have anything to do with eachother, is it?” I questioned.
“You’ll regret ever saying this, Gigi. I promise you, wait till my daddy hears of this!” She whined in a babyish voice that got further on my nerves.
“Oh, you can go cry to daddy as usual, I’m done caring about your fake ass tears and daddy threats. I don’t give a damn. Get out already! And take your minions with you as well!” I said harshly as she stormed out of my office followed by her idiots, Claire and Julian.
Gaston however seemed to have finally gotten a hold of himself and his tongue as he finally spoke, “you’re going to regret ever doing all of this today, Giovanni. You’re going to come back begging me after daddy hears of all of the nonsense you have done right now.”
I was about to find a way to just get him out of my office too when Kiki interrupted and I suddenly remembered that she was still witnessing all of my tell offs.
“Did you guys ever visit this country as kids by chance?” She asked with a curious and confused look in her face almost as if she had just remembered a long time memory.
