Love is painful

Rose was looking at Ash. She did not know if the bullet hit Ash. Ash looked at Rose and opened his mouth. He was trying to say something. But then they heard Alina's laughter. Alina was laughing. She said, "Such a lover. I didn't know you loved him to the point you wanted to take a bullet for him."

Rose was shocked. Was Alina able to hit Rose? Rose looked down and saw blood was dripping out. She felt pain in her shoulder. She touched her left shoulder. Alina again pointed the gun at Ash. But this time Ash also pointed a gun at Alina. Alina laughed maniacally and said, "Bye, bye." And she pulled the trigger. But Ash didn't get shot. Instead, it was Alina who collapsed. Ash ran towards Rose. As Rose also collapsed. Ash held Rose and said, "Rose, look at me." Rose could not look at him. She was looking at the girl. She did not understand why Alina pulled the trigger and killed herself. What did she gain from it? Rose felt the pain in her shoulders. It felt like her muscles were burning. But still, she couldn't comprehend the situation. Why did she kill herself? That was the last question she thought before she closed her eyes.

Ash could not believe it. Rose was shot in spite of him. He hugged Rose. And kept on calling. Rose lost consciousness. Ash quickly carried her and put her inside the car. He was breathing hard. He did not know what happened. Why Alina kidnapped her, then why she killed herself. But that was not important. Now he must save Rose. He checked that the bullet passed through Rose's shoulders. But she was bleeding profusely. Not only that, she lost consciousness. Ash kept on calling her but she did not wake up. Ash went to the nearby hospital. He carried her and shouted for doctors. One doctor came and saw Rose bleeding. He immediately called a nurse and they took her inside in an emergency. Ash wanted to get inside but one nurse stopped him. She told him to wait outside. Two more doctors went inside. One doctor came in a few minutes and said, "She was shot. We need to inform the police. If not, we cannot start the treatment." Ash nodded and said, "I already informed the police. They are in the way." The doctor nodded and went inside. Ash struggled to stand still. So he sat on a chair. He kept looking at the door. But no one came outside. Then he heard a commotion. He saw Roy and Xavier came. Roy asked, "What happened?"

"Rose is injured. She was in there." Ash pointed towards the emergency. Police came and said, "Mr. Khan, we need to talk with you."

Ash nodded.

"What happened?" Police asked.

"My fiance was kidnapped. I got a call telling me that she was kidnapped. When I went there I saw Alina khan kidnapped her. She almost killed her when I shot her."

"Do you have a gun?"

"Yes, it was licensed. You can check."

"Okay, what happened afterward?"

"I thought I shot her in the leg. And I was trying to leave. But Alina tried to stop us. That was when Alina tried to kill me. And Rose pushed me and got hurt."

"What about Ms. Khan?"

"She committed suicide after shooting Rose."

"What?" Roy asked.

"Yes," Ash said.

"I could not check if she was alive or dead. But as she shot herself on her head I don't think she was alive," Ash concluded. Ash gave the police the location. Roy asked, "Are you alright?"

Ash didn't say anything. He looked at the emergency door. After an hour a doctor came out. Ash went near him and asked, “How is she?"

The doctor said, "She was fine. The bullet did not cause her much damage. It was due to shock that she passed out. She will regain her senses."

Ash felt the lump on his chest was removed. He said, "Thank you."

Roy and Xavier were shocked. Ash never thanked anyone. But for Rose, he did. The doctor patted his shoulder and said, "Please complete all the paperwork."

Ash nodded.

Later police came and told him that Alina was dead. She died on the spot. The bullet pierced through her brain. There was no way to save her.

Ash could not understand the reason behind her death. Why did she kill herself? That question will remain unanswered.

Rose's head was spinning. She saw that she was in a dark room. Alina was pointing a gun. But this time not at her but Ash. Rose wanted to shout and tell Ash to move. But she was frozen. For some reason, she could not move. Then she looked down and saw her reflection. Her reflection told her that she did not want Rose to die. However, Rose struggled. She thought if Ash died then there is no reason to live. And she understood the reason behind Alina's suicide. Alina was dead inside when Edward died. And when she saw that her plan failed and she couldn't kill Rose, she put an end to her life. Rose knew the pain of losing someone. She tried to commit suicide. So Alina's madness was justified. Rose thought in this world we have many relationships with others. But there are only a few for which we want to kill ourselves. Rose wanted to die along with Ash and Alina wanted to die alone with Edward. For this very reason, Rose forgave the crime Alina committed.

Rose heard someone calling her. She slowly opened her eyes. She saw Ash was sitting beside her holding her hand. It was the most beautiful thing she ever saw. She wanted to capture it in her memory. She saw that Ash looked at her and said, "Rose!"

Rose wanted to say something but before that, Ash hugged her and kissed her. The moment his lips touched her cold lips Rose became alive. Ash did not kiss like in the past. He only touched her lips with his. And then, he kept on kissing her all over the face. He asked, "Are you alright?" Then he remembered to call for a doctor. He rang the bell near the bed. All this time Rose was looking at Ash. Though he was doing all this, the hand holding her was trembling.

Rose knew that Ash was afraid. She knew that Ash was afraid to lose her. And suddenly a thought comes to her. She knew that no matter what one day they would be together. And that thought made her smile from the bottom of her heart. She was looking forward to their unknown future.
