Chap 51: Fight for your Love - Part3
Dylan returned to his room in anger and tried to sleep, but his mind was filled with thoughts of Aiden. However hard he tried, Aiden didn't seem to give an inch. Dylan was wracking his brains as to how to make Aiden fall for him. He never had to do such things in the past as the girls always begged to be with him. Why did he have to fall for a guy who was being so difficult? It seems all those girls whom Dylan had ignored before had cursed him.
Now how should he solve this problem? He didn't even have a great friend with whom he could share such personal things. Not knowing what to do, he dialed his Assistant's number and asked, "You are married, right?"
The Assistant was dumbfounded for a few seconds as his Boss had never asked him a personal question.
" Can't you hear me?" Dylan asked irritatedly.
The Assistant suddenly returned to his senses and said, " I-I am married, Sir."
" So, how do you impress your wife?"
" Excuse me?" The Assistant was even more shocked.
" Is it so difficult to answer? I simply asked how do you keep your wife happy? Do you take her on dates regularly?"
" Y-Yes, yes, Sir!! I take her on dates."
" What do you do on a date?"
The Assistant was sweating profusely, thinking about what to reply.
" Are you there?" Dylan yelled.
"Y-Yes, Sir!! I-I take my wife to movies and dinners. I buy gifts for her and ...and...shopping. That's her favorite."
Dylan thought about it. Movies? He didn't know what kind of movies Aiden liked, but he had to find out. Dinners? That could be arranged. He would like to have all his dinners with Aiden from now on. Gifts? Dylan was willing to give Aiden whatever he wished for, but for now, he would have to buy a phone for him since he had smashed the last one. And Shopping? The last time he took Aiden shopping, he didn't seem interested, but still, he should give it a try.
" What else?" Dylan enquired.
" Hmmm... Parties...? Trips...? and Outings."
Parties, both Dylan and Aiden, hated it. Trips? Isn't it too soon? He will have to wait for that as now Aiden was not even allowing him to touch him. Dylan thought bitterly.
" What sort of outings?" Dylan asked.
" Like going to a concert, a picnic, or sometimes a long drive. Anything to spend some quality time together."
That sounded like a great idea. Now Dylan just had to find out Aiden's favorites.
" Good job," Dylan quipped and cut the call.
Dylan lacked patience. He wanted to run to Aiden's room right now and wake him up to ask about his likes and dislikes. While lost in his thoughts, Dylan received a notification on his phone, which was a reminder for the Baseball match he was supposed to go to the next day. Suddenly he got an idea and dialed his Personal Secretary's number.
The Secretary picked up the call after a few minutes, much to Dylan's annoyance. " Y-Yes, Sir," she said softly.
" When is the baseball match scheduled for tomorrow?"
" It's in the afternoon post lunch, Sir." The Secretary was suddenly alert.
" Can I have another ticket for the event?"
" You are a VIP guest; the whole VIP box is reserved for you," the Secretary said confidently.
Dylan smirked. Nobody could match his prowess in the Business World. Everyone wanted to impress him. The baseball team owner wanted Dylan to invest in his team, that's why the VIP treatment. " That's good to hear," Dylan remarked. " I am getting another guest with me."
The Secretary was surprised because Dylan had never bothered to get anybody to any of the events. He took his girlfriend sometimes to Business parties as they required him to come with a date.
" Are you getting your girlfriend?" the Secretary asked curiously.
Dylan felt unsettled at that question. " No," he replied not too gently and cut the call before she could ask anything else.
The question had changed Dylan's mood completely. When he was finding it difficult to tell his Secretary about Aiden, what would he say to the other Executives he met at the Baseball event? Taking a girl to such events was common, but would it be awkward if he took a man? Why can't people mind their own Business?
Maybe he could say Aiden was his adoptive brother. Yes, that was the best option. That way, nobody would doubt their relationship or gossip about it. Feeling satisfied with his plan, he decided to sleep as it was way over midnight. He was lying on his bed, trying to sleep, but he missed Aiden badly. Finally, he got up and tiptoed to Aiden's room.
Aiden was already asleep. Dylan slowly crept onto his bed and slept beside him, hugging him tightly.
The following day when Aiden woke up, Dylan was beside him with his hand wrapped around his waist and his face against his neck. Aiden got up abruptly, and even Dylan woke up by his movements.
" What are you doing here?" Aiden asked, glaring at Dylan.
" Sleeping," Dylan said, yawning and trying to get hold of Aiden. " Can we sleep some more? It's the weekend."
" Why were you sleeping in my room?"
" We will talk later. Please lie down with me," Dylan said fuzzily.
" I don't want to sleep," Aiden pouted and turned around to leave.
Dylan suddenly held Aiden around his waist and pulled him back on the bed. " I really couldn't sleep, not until you were beside me."
" How did you sleep for so many years then?" Aiden muttered under his breath.
" That was until I didn't know I loved you. Now that I have realized it, I can't stay away from you."
Aiden wanted to avoid such talks with Dylan. He looked away and stuttered, " I-I will go and get fresh." He tried to get away from Dylan's grip, but Dylan wouldn't budge. " Please let go."
" It's too early," Dylan whispered in his ear.
Aiden felt a chill through his spine at the intimacy. " D-Did you forget your promise? "
" I didn't," Dylan scoffed. " But you are so irresistible."
Aiden turned around and glared at Dylan.
Dylan stared back at Aiden with a smile and said, " I never realized it, but your eyes are so beautiful. Keep looking at me."
Aiden was flustered at Dylan's words and suddenly pushed his chest with all his might. Before Dylan could react, Aiden had rushed into the bathroom and locked it.
Dylan chuckled at Aiden's antics. " He's so cute," he whispered, returning to his room to get fresh.
While having breakfast, Aiden was lost in thought. He was planning to visit Noah, so he was thinking of an excuse to go out of the penthouse.
" I-I will be going out for a while," Aiden stuttered softly.
" What?" Dylan spat. " Why?"
" I-I need to buy a phone."
Dylan was relieved and gave a bright smile. " Oh!! I already ordered one for you."
" You don't need to," Aiden said desperately. " I will buy it on my own."
" Why not?" Dylan said, offended. " I want to gift it to you; how can you say no to me?"
" You have already given me so many things. Also, I am staying at your house for free..."
" This is your house, too," Dylan banged on the table. " When will you stop being so formal with me?" Dylan wanted Aiden to depend entirely on him, so he couldn't even think of leaving him. " I have a lot of money, so you don't have to worry about such trivial things. I am giving it to you, so the only thing you have to do is accept it."
" But it's not..."
" No, if's and but's. I won't budge on this."
Aiden shut his mouth and looked down. He was more worried about the fact how he would go out to meet Noah. While he was thinking of an alternate excuse, Dylan interrupted his thoughts.
" Anyways, we are going out for an event."
"W-What event?" Aiden dreaded what it would be.
"A Baseball match."
"Baseball match?" Aiden was suddenly interested. " Which teams?" Aiden liked to watch sports a lot, especially Baseball.
Dylan noticed the change in Aiden's mood and smirked internally. " The Royal Beasts and the Grand Bats. The Royal Beasts team invited me."
" Royal Beasts?" Aiden got up abruptly. " Are we watching their final match?" It was Aiden's favorite team, and he couldn't hide his excitement. He always wanted to see the match but couldn't afford the ticket rates.
Dylan felt a sense of satisfaction seeing Aiden's excited face. He wanted to pat himself on the back for making the right decision. " Yeah. The final match."
Aiden was a die-hard fan of the Captain of Royal Beasts. He wanted to ask Dylan whether he could meet the Captain but thought it would be too much to ask for. He should be thankful that he was getting to see them face to face on the grounds.
" We will leave soon after lunch," Dylan said, and Aiden nodded, still thinking about his favorite players.
