Chap 54: Trapped in Love or Obsession - Part1
"W-What are you trying to say?" Aiden stuttered in fear holding his aching cheek.
Dylan approached him, but Aiden backed away, looking at him in panic. Dylan suddenly paused as his anger dissipated. What the f**k was he doing? His goal was to get rid of Aiden's fear of him, not increase it. Even though he very much wished he could lock Aiden up, that was his final option. For now, he had to control his anger and keep things smooth. " Did you take that seriously?" Dylan chuckled.
Aiden still looked at him with uncertainty.
" I was joking, Aiden. How can I lock you up when I love you so much," Dylan said and hugged Aiden tightly.
" B-But y-you slapped me," Aiden said, pushing Dylan away.
"I was angry, and you know how I get when I am angry."
Aiden snorted. He almost had a heart attack when Dylan suggested locking him up. Dylan was capable of doing exactly that because Aiden had experienced it firsthand and never wanted to experience it again.
" I am sorry, Aiden. I shouldn't have hit you."
" Damn right, you shouldn't," Aiden said in disappointment.
" I swear I won't do it again," Dylan said, trying to get closer.
Aiden held his hand in front of him. " Please maintain distance."
" Are you still angry?" Dylan stared at Aiden, who turned away to leave the room.
Dylan stopped Aiden holding his arm. " Please, Aiden, don't get away from me; I can't take it. I regret hitting you, and if you want, you can hit me too."
" Huh?" Did he hear it wrong? The guy who always beat others up without breaking a sweat was asking him to hit him back?
" You don't believe me? " Dylan asked, seeing Aiden's confused expression. " Of course, you don't. You never believe a word I say." Dylan suddenly held Aiden's right hand and slapped himself.
" Stop it!! What are you doing?" Aiden pulled his hand away in haste.
" I will do anything so that you can forgive me."
" I forgive you," Aiden said hurriedly and backed away from Dylan. He just couldn't predict what Dylan would do next.
" You are not sincere, Aiden."
" I am. I truly am."
" Then prove it."
" How can I...?"
" Let me make it up to you."
" I am fine..."
" How about I take you to dinner?" Dylan asked.
" You don't have to do anything."
" Means you are still not ready to forgive me."
" I already told you I forgive you."
" Then why won't you come to dinner with me?"
" We can have dinner at home..."
" We do that every day, but I want something special today as an apology."
" I..." Aiden didn't know how to convince Dylan and get out of this situation.
" Please..."
"O-Okay." Aiden agreed just to get Dylan off his back.
" Thank you, Aiden." Dylan hugged him and smirked. Managing a situation calmly is indeed more effective than being angry.
The dinner was at one of the best rooftop restaurants in the city, and Dylan had booked the entire restaurant for the night. After the debacle at the baseball match, he had concluded he should avoid taking Aiden to crowded places. That way, he could prevent the questioning and disgusting glares of others and would also not have to deal with Aiden talking to other men.
Aiden looked at the dinner table, which was set up for a couple with flowers and candles. It reminded him of his first date with Noah. Though that restaurant was not as elegant and expensive as this one, it was still his first time going to a high-class restaurant.
His thoughts were interrupted by the waitress who placed the dishes on the table. Dylan had already informed the hotel staff what he would need so they wouldn't disturb him later.
" The food here is excellent. Try it," Dylan said to Aiden.
Aiden took a bite, and it was very delicious. He then looked around and said, " Why is it so deserted here?"
" I booked the entire restaurant," Dylan said proudly.
" What? Why?"
" I don't want anyone disturbing our date."
Aiden almost choked on his food when he heard the word date. "D-Date?"
" Yes," Dylan smiled.
" T-This is not a date," Aiden whispered. He already had a boyfriend, so how could he go on a date with another man?
" It is for me," Dylan said, gritting his teeth. He controlled his anger as he didn't want to ruin the moment.
Aiden noticed the slight change in Dylan's mood and immediately shut up. For the next few minutes, he decided to enjoy the food in silence. Dylan was staring at him like a hawk as if he was not devouring the food but him. When Aiden couldn't take it anymore, he asked, " W-Why are you looking at me like that?"
" I am thinking..."
"What?"
" Why did I never notice that you are so good-looking."
Aiden blushed and looked away. He was not new to being complimented for his looks, but he could never get used to it.
" No wonder men want to flock around you like butterflies. You are so irresistible."
" You are exaggerating it. I am not a pretty girl that men would flock around me."
" I think otherwise because all I have seen is men looking at you with longing and lust," Dylan said, clenching his fist.
" That's your misconception. Anyone looks at me, and you think they want me." It was Dylan who looked at him with lust, and he thought everyone else did the same.
" You don't appreciate yourself, Aiden. You would never know."
Whatever Dylan said, Aiden knew where he stood. He was either only bullied or ignored all his life. Now he couldn't even fathom getting so much attention. Even accepting the fact that Dylan liked him was hard.
It was just a phase, and Dylan would soon be bored of him and leave him alone.
After returning home, Dylan gifted Aiden a new phone and let him go to his room. Aiden was unaware that Dylan had placed a tracking chip in the phone to track his location and activities.
After seeing Aiden's rebelling behavior for the past few days, Dylan knew he couldn't win him through the usual dating methods by showering him with gifts and love. Although it was hard to accept, Aiden was indeed in love with his boyfriend, and until Noah was in the picture, Aiden could not truly be his. With Dylan's power and money, he could easily eliminate Noah, but the ultimate result would be more hatred and resentment from Aiden, which Dylan didn't want. By the time he comes up with a plan for Noah, he has to make sure to keep Aiden away from him.
For the next few days, Dylan was busy with work, but he still made it a point to check on Aiden every few minutes through the office camera. On the other hand, Aiden hadn't met Noah for a few days but had managed to talk to him on his secret phone without getting noticed. Noah desperately wanted to meet Aiden, but Dylan always seemed to be around, so Aiden didn't get the chance.
On Friday, Dylan had to go on lunch with Natalie's family, so Aiden had the perfect opportunity. He secretly called Noah, asking him to meet for lunch at the cafe near the office.
Noah was already waiting in the cafe, and as soon as he saw Aiden, he dragged him to the storage room at the back.
Aiden was surprised at his reaction when he was pushed inside the room while Noah locked the door. " What's wrong?"
" I missed you," Noah said and smashed his lips against Aiden. Aiden hungrily kissed back, forgetting his earlier confusion and getting lost in the moment. The kiss was urgent and wanting, and Noah didn't want to let go. He placed his hands under Aiden's shirt feeling the warmth of his skin. Aiden was forced to back away when he was out of breath, but Noah pulled him back for another kiss which lasted for a few more seconds.
Aiden reluctantly pushed Noah gasping and panting for breath. " W-Wait...G-Give me a break."
" You are coming with me," Noah said, holding Aiden close.
" Where to?" Aiden asked, confused.
" Anywhere."
" What do you mean?"
" Let's leave the state or this country. If your brother wouldn't allow us to meet, then let's go from here. I am even ready to leave the continent. We will go to the other end of the World so he can never find us," Noah was continuously blabbering as if he was determined.
" We have already discussed this, but you still want to run away?" Aiden spat.
" You are my boyfriend, Aiden. Why do we have to meet like this in hiding, as if we are committing a sin?"
" It is just temperory, Noah. We will get through this," Aiden said tiredly. It was exhausting trying to explain to Noah and Dylan all the time. He was literally stuck between two men who didn't seem to give an inch.
" It's already a week. Did you manage to convince him?" Noah asked.
" H-He's persistent..." Aiden stuttered.
" What the f**k does he want from you?" Noah snarled.
" He doesn't want me to be with a man."
" Is that the only reason?" Noah asked, raising an eyebrow at Aiden.
" What else can it be," Aiden whispered, not meeting Noah's eyes.
" Why would he be so persistent only because he is homophobic? He seems to have an ulterior motive."
Aiden paled at Noah's words and tried to mask his expression but failed.
" You are hiding something," Noah said, holding Aiden by his arms. " What is it?"
" I-It's nothing. You are overthinking."
" Tell me, Aiden," Noah said a bit too loudly. " Does he like you?"
" God No!!" Aiden said in a hurry. " He does not like me. " Aiden didn't want to lie to Noah, but if he told the truth, then Noah would confront Dylan, and Dylan would hurt him. " Even now, he is having lunch with his girlfriend and her family."
Noah seemed to calm down a bit when he heard about Dylan having a girlfriend, but they were interrupted by Aiden's phone ring. The call was from Dylan, and Noah said, " Put it on speaker."
" Please be quiet," Aiden said to Noah and picked up the call.
" Where are you?" Aiden and Noah heard Dylan's demanding tone.
" I-I came for lunch."
" Are you with someone?" Dylan asked.
" No. I am alone." Within a span of a few days, he seemed to be a pro at lying.
" Fine! Be back in the office within 10 minutes," Dylan said.
" Okay."
" I will pick you up after office. I have a surprise for you," Dylan said, smiling.
Noah stiffened up while Aiden's voice was stuck in his throat.
" Are you there, Aiden?" Dylan asked again.
" Y-Yes," Aiden replied.
" Did you hear me? "
Aiden wanted to cut the call before Dylan said anything else. " Yes. I will meet you at the entrance after the office."
" Ok. See you in the evening, love," Dylan said and hung up.
When Aiden heard the word love, his face was white as a stone, but Noah's was even worse.
