Chap 59: Trapped in Love or Obsession - Part6
Aiden was smiling like a fool, recalling his time with Noah the previous night. Dylan had been gone for two days now. He had to travel overseas on an emergency Business trip, and before leaving, Dylan had instructed Aiden to straight away go back home after office.
The first day Aiden obliged, fearing it might be one of Dylan's tricks and he might suddenly appear in front of him. Nevertheless, he became convinced Dylan was indeed overseas when he video-called him, showed him the London bridge, and said he wished to take Aiden there.
So, on the second day, after returning to the penthouse, Aiden changed and left to meet Noah. As soon as Aiden was out, he got a call from Dylan asking where he was, and he replied he was going to the departmental store. Aiden and Noah had dinner after a long time and talked about the things going on in their life. While having dinner, Dylan repeatedly called Aiden, urging him to return home soon, so Aiden kissed Noah goodbye and left after two hours. Dylan's trip would last for two more days, and Aiden had thought of meeting Noah again the next day.
After thinking about Noah for a while, Aiden returned to his work. He was working on a new project and got so busy that he skipped lunch. Soon he was craving coffee, so he got up from his seat to get one. As he was nearing the cafe made on his office floor, he was suddenly pulled by someone and pushed into a room. Aiden's heart was in his mouth, and he yelped in fear when pushed toward a wall.
"W-Who...?" he asked and stared at the person who pushed him. His eyes were wide as saucers when he saw that it was Dylan. " Y-You are b-back?"
" You don't seem happy to see me," Dylan sneered.
" Weren't you s-supposed to come after t-two days?"
" I finished my work early," Dylan said. He had intended to stay for two more days, but last night when he noticed Aiden missing from home for two hours, he couldn't help but come back soon. He had gotten used to keeping an eye on Aiden at all times, and when he couldn't know where he was, he felt uneasy. He wasn't able to concentrate on his work.
" Ohh...Ok... A-And w-why are you holding me like this?" Aiden stuttered. Dylan's hands were still on his shoulder, stopping him from moving away. They were in the conference room now with the door closed.
" I-I missed you," Dylan said, feeling a bit flustered.
" We are in the office," Aiden whispered. " What if someone sees us?"
" I know," Dylan hissed. " Give me a few seconds; just stay like this."
" Are you insane? We..." Aiden tried to push Dylan away from him.
Dylan ignored Aiden's protests and asked," Where were you yesterday?"
"W-What?" Aiden tensed up. Why was Dylan asking him? Did he see him and Noah together?
Dylan noticed Aiden's expression, which looked like he was caught with his hand in a cookie jar. " Why do you look so scared?"
"I-I am not scared," Aiden said, flushed.
" Then where were you?" Dylan asked again.
" I-I went to the departmental store."
" For two hours?" Dylan asked, raising an eyebrow.
" I-I wanted to take a walk," Aiden replied, looking down.
Seeing Aiden's reluctance, Dylan felt something was fishy. " Did you meet up with someone?"
" Of course not!!" Aiden replied hurriedly, but he was sweating profusely. He tried to calm himself, but Dylan's close proximity made him feel even more tense.
Suddenly Dylan had a realization. " Did you meet up with that boyfriend of yours?"
" N-No, I-I didn't meet him," Aiden lied, fidgeting on the spot.
Dylan didn't trust him. Aiden has been too obedient for the past few days and never once mentioned his boyfriend. Is it possible he has already gotten over him, or was he pretending? He was intensely staring at Aiden as if trying to gauge the truth out of him.
Aiden heard a sound outside the door and whispered in panic," I-I think there is someone outside. I-I should go."
" You haven't answered my question yet."
" Do you have to do this now?" Aiden said in frustration. " We can talk at home."
" I want to know now." Now that Dylan had caught Aiden off-guard, he didn't want to give him a chance to feed him a cock and bull story later on. " Did you go to meet your boyfriend?"
" No," Aiden said, trying to sound confident.
" Then where were you for so long?"
" I already told..."
" Don't lie to me, Aiden. I can check with the department store if you were actually present there."
Aiden's looked up at Dylan in shock.
" I will have to throw some money, and I can even get the camera footage," Dylan said confidently.
Aiden was still quiet, thinking about how to reply when he heard Dylan speak again. " Forget it!! I will find it out myself." He took out his phone to call someone, and Aiden suddenly stopped him. " Dylan, please wait..."
" Why do you look so worried?"
Aiden stopped Dylan again. " Please don't..."
" Why not? Did you lie to me then?"
" I-I didn't go to the s-store," Aiden said softly, avoiding looking at Dylan.
" Then where were you for two hours?" Dylan snapped.
" Please calm down," Aiden said, looking around.
" I don't care. Why did you lie to me?" He held Aiden's wrist and twisted it behind his back.
Aiden gasped, so Dylan loosened his hold a bit and asked again," Did you meet him? And... don't even think of lying again."
"I didn't..."
" It's better you tell me the truth yourself. The consequences wouldn't be good if I find it out my way."
"I-I met him b-by chance," Aiden said, almost on the verge of tears.
An intense rage swept through Dylan. He tightened the grip on Aiden, squeezing it tightly until he heard Aiden cry out in pain. " P-Please... you are hurting me."
" You are the one who's hurting me," Dylan spat.
Aiden backed away, trying to get away from Dylan.
Dylan pulled Aiden closer, and his nose was almost touching Aiden's cheek. "You have some guts... trying to go behind my back." All his efforts for the past few days seemed to have gone for a toss. He thought Aiden was trying to accept him, but it was all a facade. " Were you trying to fool me all along?"
" No...No... I-I met him by chance. Please don't hurt Noah," Aiden said in a panic.
Aiden trying to defend his boyfriend angered Dylan even more. " You..."
He raised his hand to hit Aiden but instead banged the wall right beside his head.
" P-Please...I am sorry," Aiden pleaded while shielding his face.
" You always say sorry, but you never mean it. When are you going to let go of that relationship? Do I have to get rid of that bastard for you to do that?"
" Please, no..." Aiden cried out. " He didn't do anything; it's my fault."
" Of course, it's your fault and his too. He dared to take you away from me," Dylan screamed.
Dylan's voice was quite loud, and Aiden got even more worried. " P-Please lower your voice; they might hear us."
" You are mine," Dylan said in a trance, ignoring Aiden's words.
Suddenly they heard someone talking outside, and Dylan returned to his senses.
" Do you want everyone to know about us?" Aiden continued, and Dylan realized what he was doing. He must have lost his mind to behave like this in his office. He backed away from Aiden and took deep breaths to calm himself down.
Aiden looked towards the door as if looking for an opportunity to escape as soon as possible.
" I am not done with you yet," Dylan said, trying to keep his voice down. " Go back to your seat and wait for me. We will leave soon."
Aiden nodded without arguing further. He turned around to leave when he heard Dylan say again. " Don't leave your seat until I call you."
"O-Okay," Aiden whispered and quickly left the conference room.
Dylan left the conference room two minutes after Aiden had left as he didn't want anybody to see him with Aiden. He got back to his office and thought about how he could get rid of Noah. He couldn't kill him because Noah was the leverage he used to keep Aiden with him. Moreover, if Noah were dead, Aiden would never truly be his. Then what else could he do to stop Aiden from never meeting Noah again?
Meanwhile, as soon as Aiden left the room and turned the corner, he was shocked still when he saw Dylan's fiance Natalie looking at him with tears in her eyes.
