"Bad enough to live with you even after you scared the hell out of me." She smiled but not quite reaching her eyes.
"Do I scare you, Brielle?" I asked her, momentarily stunned. I know I can be intimidating sometimes.
"A bit."
I can't do this. I can't take advantage of her weakness.
"Do you want the money and investment? You don't have to work for me. I can help you." I offered her.
She looked surprised for a minute but then resumed eating the ice cream.
"Thank you but no thank you. I rather pay back myself. I don't need any more favors."
Jesus, she is so stubborn.
"I mean it Emberly. You don't have to pay me back immediately. Take your time." I tried once more.
"Am I that bad? I do try my best." Her voice was so low, almost a whisper.
I sighed deeply, feeling pity for her.
Pride and stubbornness are her dangerous qualities.
"So how are we going to make this work?"
What was there in her which still makes me, which pushed me to know her more
"I don't know. You are perfectly fine when you are working but when you are not..." She hesitated.
"That's when I fuck up. Right?" I chuckled.
"Yeah."
"But I still want to have my fun and I won't let a little girl ruin it." I half meant it and half said it to tease her.
"I am not a little girl, I am nineteen," She said hardheartedly.
Feisty as ever.
"Still very young," I said on purpose knowing this will irritate her more.
"How about I will let you carry on with your.... stuff but I will try to stop you from getting yourself involved in another scandal." I wanted to laugh at her. Stuff? Who says that anymore?
"How so? I am not changing my preference for you, Mrs.Richardson." I smirked watching her clenched fists.
"I hope not, anyway I need to know what you do and where you are. As sad as it sounds, I will make sure you won't involve yourself in another controversy because we're married and I don't think your dad will be happy if he got to know that you're still behind other girls even after being married to me." She snapped with a flushed face and quickly ran towards the stairs.

"Bri, is how is Ivaan," Analia asked me and I looked at her face, had face was flushed with blush clearly showing in her pale cheeks
"He's good," I said while looking at her
It's obvious she has a thing for him
"Why you're blushing," I nudged to her
"Come on," I laughed and I smiled looking at my best friend
"What if I plan a blind date for you two," I asked me taking the hold of her hands
Her eyes widened slightly, "seriously," she said and I nodded
"But what if....," she pouted and looked down
I chuckled and make he rlookibg in my eyes
"I know you've always been in love with Ivaan, since childhood I saw you stupid," I ruffled her long brown hair
"But Bri, what if he will reject me," she asked
"Just don't be afraid, that's up to him, atleast you can try," I encouraged and she sighed and looked at me
The nodded after sometime
"Aww, thank you so much Bri," she hugged me
"Okay now, get ready, we have to do preparations of your blind date," I chuckled and she nodded cheekily
"I've decorated the garden of my grandpa's mansion with scented flower plants and with sparkling multicolor light bulbs and arranged a table in the center of the garden
After decorating it, I also placed some scented candles around it, to make the environment more romantic
My brother Ivaan, I don't know what was making him like this, I mean he's changed since I returned from Francisco, when we were young he was quite a lively, and flirty type of person, he was not a pervert but he's very charming and no girl able to resist from him
But, now he's changed completely, he didn't talk much especially after, Zuriel comes into our life, and I can clearly see hatred in his eyes for Zuriel and the same in Zuriel's eyes for him
Ivan, always immerse himself deep in work, Zach told me that he's doing overtime these days like a human-machine
I just can't see my brother like this, he has to move on from whatever was making him like this
That's why I've planned this date for him, I know Analia since childhood, she's the perfect girl for him, she so kind and soft-spoken, with a pure heart
If everything gets like as I palnn3ed then they both will look like a match made in heaven
I chuckled and finally looked t the decorated garden
" Bri," Analia tapped my shoulder making me turn towards her, I gasped looking at her
She was wearing a dark pink short dress which was stopping at her thighs, and her hair was opened perfectly
If someone else looked at her, they will probably mistake her as she is from the Kardashians' family
"Analia," I chirped looking at her, wide-eyed at her
"What," she asked me fidgeting her fingers
"You're looking so beautiful, " I put my hands over her both shoulders
She sighed in relief, "thanks, you scared me you know I've thought I was looking like a clown," she sighed and I playfully tapped her head
"Bro will be here at any minute," I glanced around the main entrance gate of the mansion and she nodded cheekily
"Is should go now, hive you both some privacy," I was about to go but she grabbed my hand
"Can you click our pictures, I wanted to capture that beautiful moment, you know my fantasy right, date with your brother, my evergreen crush," she sighed dreamily and I nodded laughing
"Of course, I will, I will hide behind that tree, and capture it you know just in case my brother will be more romantic with you," I chuckled and nudged her
"Bri," she cried out and I laughed at her reaction
Suddenly, we heard the sound of the car, it's Ivaan's car
He's here finally
"Okay, all the best," I kissed at her cheek and she nodded fidgeting her fingers and biting her lower lip
I quickly hid behind the tree, before switching off all the lights of the garden, it's our plan that we'll switch on the lights immediately when he will step into a garden
Ivaan was about to enter in the mansion, but which stopped when his eyes fell on the note, I placed on the entrance
In the garden, a beautiful surprise was waiting, is written there
Ivaan comes towards the garden, and I quickly switched on the lights
Ivaan freeze at his place, Analia, went towards him in slow strides and Ivaan's eyes fell on her, he smiled biting her lips, looking around
"Hey...I..Ivaan," she stands in front of him
He frowned looking round then her, "what is this," he asked her in hard voice
She bit her lips, "I.I planned a romantic date for us," she said looking at the tabek decorated with red wine bottle with exquisite glasses, and Ivan's favorite food, Analia herself made these all for him
Ivaan quickly closed his eyes and clenched his hands into fists
"Listen Analia," he said calmly to her but I can sense danger in his voice
"It's better that you should leave this thought of us, being together because I'm and never will be yours," he said and about to go but she grabbed his hand
My heart squeezed and wrenched when I saw tears in her eyes, my best friend was hurt so badly
I was about to went towards her but she signaled me to stop there
"Why, why you never thought about me, you know me since we're children, you know very well how much I love you then why was stopping you from doing it back to me," she cried out, and now tears started falling from her eyes
"You know nothing, Analia," ivaan said and jerked her hand off from his arm
But before he can go, Analia quickly stands in front of him, preventing him to go further
"Please don't do this, I love you so much," she leaned down on her knees looking at him teary-eyed
I quickly put my had over my chest, I felt wetness around my hand, I know, very well I'm also crumying seeing her in this condition but I just can't interfere in their life, it's their personal matter now
"Because I will be never yours and never will, I always love Carly, and will be always of hers, forever," he said and gripped the hem of the table cloth and flipped it over the floor, making all the food, scented candles and everything broken in pieces making Analia flinched, she was crying continuously
This time I can't be able to control myself, I quickly comes towards them but before I can approach Analia she already run out from the mansion, wiping her tears
I make my way towards Ivaan
"What the hell bro, why the hell you did this with her, she loves you, and you're so lucky that you have someone in your life you love," I shook my head, I'm I'mally disappointed with him
"Because I can never be able love anyone else except, Carly, but thankfully she's not with me, a lot hanks to your husband " he whispered falling on his knees
I gasped when I saw a tear falling from his eyes, he's truly heartbroken
And the main thing was, which was eating me alive is who was this Carly and why she is not with him and what relation she have with Zuriel.
