Chapter 24 Passion

Hmmmn smells delicious..." Abby heard Tunde commented as soon as he walked into the kitchen. She was already done cooking the soup, was just waiting for the water she put on the cooker to boil so she could make the poundo that would go with it.

"I sure hope the taste is as good as it smells..." He said and smiled cheekily.

Abby glared back in return, grabbed the packet of the 2kg poundo flour she was about making, and aimed it towards his head, which he caught smoothly mid-air while laughing at her.

"I swear, I just pray I don't end up murdering you before leaving your house today. You are so infuriating!"

"And you're too tensed and over-sensitive. You really need to chill and loosen up please!" He said with a serious look on his face.

"I'm not over-sensitive! You are just very annoying."

"He laughed again, moving towards her placatingly. Seriously... I don't know why I'm like this with you. I'm very surprised myself, cos this mischievous person was not who I am.

There's something about you that just makes me want to keep poking at you." He drawled, looking at her like he's trying to figure something out.

"You're so beautiful... But also too prickly... Always ready to take offense and always on the defensive...

You kinda remind me of this hedgehog pet I had when I was ten... When it entered a state of panic or needed to defend itself, it would curl into a ball and extended its spines vertically for protection.

Mind you those spines cannot be released in an offensive attack. It was just a defense mechanism when it sensed danger.

When he saw she lowered her eyes and wanted to move away from him, he quickly grabbed her around the waist, lifted, and sat her down on the marble kitchen counter, then stood in between her legs.

"You promised remember..." Abby pleaded when she saw things were about getting out of hand. Deep down, his touch was exactly what she craved for. She wanted him to touch and caress her all over.

"I-I'm not sure I understand what you mean" she stammered and looked away from him, trying to escape his piercing and mesmerizing gaze.

"I think I've been bewitched by you..." He whispered and gently turned her face back towards him. The back of his fingers caressing the right side of her face, his index finger trailing around her full lips and down to her chin, moving down further to draw an invisible circle on her chest with his middle finger.

"Do you somehow have witching powers?... Cos I think you've put a spell on me."

His finger slowly trailed downward, stopped at the swell of her breast, and slowly dipped in-between her cleavage.

Abby suddenly took a sharp intake of breath... she was lost for words and could feel her skin burning even through the shirt as he trailed with his fingers.

"Just turn the heat off and continue later"

"Oh for fuck's sake, fuck your boyfriend!" he said coldly in frustration, suddenly letting her go before leaving the kitchen in annoyance.
