Chapter 26

Nicholas POV

"And let me guess... He works with Marcus to get the company and in return gets the necessary information on Niko fir Marcus.... Yeah that doesn't sound right even to me. " Jimmy said.

He is right, I mean that should be the most logical explanation but i think we all are passed logical reasoning at this point. There has to be something deeper, something that we are missing here like a bigger picture or some shit like that.

Those men are not ordinary business men, they are greedy, manipulative and too damn ambitious for their own good and when you have those trait in you, then you are bound to murder someone or some people in your life.

"Guys Jimmy is actually right here, I mean those men aren't ordinary men. They do things with meaning and are very cautious. We have to think. " Nalee answered like he was reading the words in my head.

"There would be no need for that because I have evidence on the type of business partnership going on between Samuel and Marcus by the way you need to fire Randle. '' Nate announced, staring at me intensely.

"And why should I do that... They have been with me since you started working for me oh I see your point now. " I huff, '' I can't believe that Randle was a spy all this while, I mean I trusted him... With my cars. "

"Your cars?" Benny said.

"Oh don't look at me like that... I love my cars, they are everything to me."

Nate interrupts. "Anyways Randle wasn't a spy, he was just a person that works for my dad and keeps tabs on you and reports to Samuel about your schedule and activities. "

We turned to him to see if he had grown another, apparently not which mean he is just dumb.

"Nate I want to say in a very kind way but I can't... You are dumb. " I said, "That is exactly what a spy does."

He rolled his eyes at me...rude. "Do you want to see what's in the folder or not seeing as if I was at your house earlier. "

"Alright fine, show us. "

He opened the folder and passed out papers to us including Victor who has been quiet since the guys came in.

It took us a few minutes to understand what was happening. These are anything that could help in any way. These are for legal business between that son of a bitch( my grandma) and Samuel.

"Nate, I don't understand. There is nothing suspicious or implicating about these papers. I mean they are actually legal papers that represent the business ventures between Samuel and Marcus... Why would you bring these here knowing that they wouldn't be of help to us?" I questioned.

I felt a hand on my back and saw Benny. "Don't get too over your head Niko. "

"Huh?"

"What he means is look closely. The profits made from these businesses make no sense." John said for the first time tonight.

Peter nodded in agreement. "Yeah, the profits don't add up besides you don't get such a large amount of profit running small scale businesses''

And I looked more confused than ever. "Yeah, you guys are right. I definitely see it now but then again I don't think these businesses are even real."

"Why do you say that?" Nate asked.

"Well I mean it's pretty obvious that these made up businesses are just that made up… To cover up all the excess money that they make… Which is why Samuel needs the company of his son so he can cover his tracks and that of Marcus." Then that's genius. Those conaving bastards are going to pay for all of this, especially the headache I feel almost everyday, just let me get my hands on them.

"I don't understand Niko. Why would he want your company again?" Jimmy asked.

"Well you see the company was started on legal funds and everything following up to this moment. Samuel and Marcus need a legal business to cover up the supposed illegal business that they do. It's like having a wall or a lie to cover the bad things that you do." I explained.

"Ah! I understand now… So Nate is that all?, I mean these papers are evidence that there is something fishy going on but it doesn't prove anything about the illegal business."

I nodded. That is true, we can't use these as strong evidence against them.Those men are as conny and sweet mouths as they come, they can get through anything if we don't get a strong hold on them.

Nate looked at me and said, "I know what you are thinking Nicholas, we need a strong hold and concrete evidence to pin them down… Well I have got you covered." He says, "when I started gathering evidence against my father, I came across this drive and I tried to open it but I can't, it seems to have a strong firewall but I am very sure that this drive contains enough evidence to bring down any empire that those two started."

I was good with and hoping that we could trust the authenticity of this information that Nate has given us...but then something clicked.

"Nathan,we are talking about saving my brother and Ravi from the clutches of the kidnappers, not trying to destroy their business which we will do but right now the most important thing is to find their whereabouts and save them before something happens to them."

"He is right. We can bust their illegal business later but for now, we should concentrate on finding the guys… And I think I might be able to help." John said,head casted down...in shame.

Jimmy being his twin and the most worried was the first to ask. "John,what are you talking about?"

"I_I was I mean work for them… Samuel and Marcus."

The atmosphere was tense and everywhere was silent as a graveyard. I could tell that the guys wanted to ask what the hell was he talking about but I am guessing they don't know how to go about it seeing as John is like the last born to us even if he is Jimmy's twin..

"Are...Are you guys not going to say anything?" Hr said, "look I didn't mean to hurt anyone… I was owning a couple of bad people and I needed the easiest money I could find."

"I'm sorry but that's not an excuse… I mean if things didn't get to this point would you have told us anything huh?" Peter asked in anger.

Benny held Peter closely to calm him down. "Calm down Peter, let him explain himself before we start to judge him… I mean come on he deserves better treatment from us than that." He said looking around, "now explain yourself John."

He rubbed his hands together." So the company that I was working for, they laid me off without a reasonable reason and i-i was in depth to some load sharks. I needed money fast and no one was willing to hire me. So after a few days I came across a long friend of mine and he introduced me to his boss who so willingly gave me the job."

" Hold on John… you were going through all of this and-and you didn't see it fit to tell me, your brother to help you." Jimmy said

" I'm sorry brother,I didn't want to involve you in my mess besides you were having issues at the restaurant and Joy was pregnant at that time so blame me if I didn't want to add my burden on yours." Tears were already coming out at this point. I didn't like seeing my family like this.

"Guys I know that I am not one to speak but it seems like we all are keeping things away from each other and to be honest, I hate that we can't come to each other in our time of need… so please if you have something bothering you, I want you to know that you have people that solidly behind you." I said, " continue John."

" So yeah, when Adam gave me the job, I was excited but what I didn't know was what my job fully entails. I was hired to work as a guard for Marcus… 5 years ago and ever since I have become more and more closer to him. So yeah I can help you if you are willing to trust me one more time."

I don't know if that's a good decision to make but I'm going to make it anyway. I am going to blindly trust him and let the consequences bite in the ass.

"So you worked for Marcus for 5 years right?" Victor said for the first time since the guys came over.

"Yeah I did"

"So you know his schedule and his movement… which means you can sneak Nicholas in, right?"

" Woah Victor, let's not make any harsh decisions. I mean you can't possibly send Nicholas in there when he can be easily recognized by Marcus and Samuel. That would be sucide on it own." Benny said.

" I know that but I'm not suggesting we send him in there to save them, what I am suggesting is that we send him in there to be held as a hostage too." Victor replied, looking at me.

Oh so now I get to make the tough decisions. Wow, what a great way to throw a guy under the bus Victor.

But I don't know if I am brave enough to make that decision on my own, I mean on one hand my life would be on the line here and on the other that of my only family left and a sexy piece of ass called Ravi.
