The Princess in the forest
In a forest.
"Where do I go from here?"
The princess muttered, breathing heavily, the sac containing her clothes in her hand. She stood in the path not certain where to go. She knew that going back wasn't even a choice. She would be beheaded at sight. She could risk her own life of course, but not of the baby in her. She was dead already to herself. She was living because of the child in her.
She looked at her back, there was no one in view. She opened the sac of clothes and brought out the skin of water. She drank from it. That was the last drop. She wasn't sure whether or not they was a stream nearby. She was already doomed.
But then she looked up towards the other direction, to the front. She saw a wierd lady seated under a tree all by herself. She began to hurry towards the lady. Probably she could be of help to her.
As she drew nearer to the lady, she noticed that the lady had her head down tracing her finger through the earth. She didn't know what to think of the lady.
But judging from the way the lady was dressed, in a dirty simple gown, the princess didn't need to be told by a sorcerer that something was wrong with the lady.
"Hey, are you alright?"
She asked the lady, but the lady didn't look up. The lady kept tracing whatever she was on the earth. Her knees were pushed up, and her face buried in the space between the two laps.
The Princess couldn't see the lady's legs. The gown had sucked it up, spreading all over the place the lady was seated. The lady, red-haired and hairy.
"You do not have to talk. I have been through hell too, which I'm sure you've walked before me. But I don't think you know what it feels like to be thrown away from the top to the floor suddenly. Several things to make up with. And the worst, no roof over your head."
The Princess paused. The lady didn't seem moved. She didn't even pay an attention to what the Princess had been saying. She only kept on drawing.
The Princess allowed herself to be distracted by the drawing on the earth. Twas a beautiful lady.
"What a talent. Is that your sister or something?"
The princess asked again, not certain. The drawing on the earth obviously didn't look like an old woman.
But her question wasn't enough to move the lady. The Princess felt frustrated. She didn't know what to say anymore to the lady. She gave up,
"I don't think my presence make any difference. I hope you're soothed."
She said and turned back to walk off. But as you would guess, she heard the lady call at her,
"Aynea be not trust Mortals again."
The Princess halted and turned immediately. She was glad at last that the lady talked. She asked,
"Beg your pardon, I didn't hear you."
The lady looked up at her. The lady's face was round but rough, yet the cuteness lingered. Her small lips had a charm it worked on how appealing she looked.
"Mortals be make Aynea sad. Aynea be angry and be not want nothing with mortal."
After several struggle to process what the lady meant, the Princess said,
"I'm not certain if I got what you meant but I know it's no good. And nothing can make you forget whatever happened to you. I do not need you to trust me, all I need is water so I could proceed in the journey. If you do know of any place I could find water."
Then suddenly, the lady stood up. But what the Princess was expecting wasn't what she saw. What she was expecting was a normal lady whose soles were bare and bruised. But what she saw wasn't soles.
She saw hoofs of a goat as the legs of the lady. Then the lady generously, began to pull her gown up to reveal the remaining part of her legs.
The Princess didn't know from where she got the courage. She stood still, as she watched the gown went up gradually, revealing the legs of a goat.
"The gods be damned."
She lost it and screamed. She turned her back and began to run away. She didn't know what to think or what she was doing.
She didn't even stop screaming as she ran through the path. She turned her back to see if the lady was coming after her but all she saw was an indifferent lady, standing there and watching her run off like a mad dog.
But as she turned to the front again, her legs got caught in twigs which ran across the path. She fell on her face.
She didn't care that she had already suffered some bruises. All she could think of was whether or not she had hurt the foetus in her.
She stood up. Twas quite a relief that she didn't have any stomach upset, at least for the moment. Then she thought.
If she kept running, she might do herself more harm than good and by extension hurt the baby in her. Plus if the lady wanted to hurt wouldn't she had come after her?
Then she remembered that the lady earlier talked about some trust issues. She turned and began to totter towards the lady who had removed her gown.
Now her full form was visible. From her head to waist, she was human, from waist to soles, a goat. On both arms, she was hairy but her complexion graced her form. Her bare boobs were erected and firm, her stomach hairy.
The princess didn't have a stomach for it. She puked instead and put the back of her hand to her mouth, muttering,
"I'm sorry."
Then suddenly, the lady turned her back and began to walk through the other path.
"Wait for me."
She called and began to hurry to catch up with the lady. She didn't know what to lose precisely and didn't care whatever happened. Well, she did care for her baby.
She hurried after the lady and watched her walk towards another tree. She kept calling at her but couldn't find her voice anymore.
Bedazzled, she watched the lady walk into a tree as though twas an open door.
"What in the world."
She muttered, not sure of what to do. Then she heard a masculine call from behind her.
She turned to see a man with a bag in his hand. What the fuck was happening?
