It's Hurt to Believe
Mario threw himself on the bed. When Aurora returned, she could only be silent, pensive. There is a feeling of pity. There was also the sadness of being rude to the woman he loved so much for the first time.
It can't be helped, Aurora really needs to be taught a lesson. In fact, after this he also did not care if he had to be separated. After all, everything that Mario has been fighting for has not produced results.
For him, what was important after Aurora gave birth was that he should be able to bring his flesh and blood to leave immediately. Mario was determined to raise his baby alone because he knew right from the start of his pregnancy that Aurora didn't even want the baby in her stomach.
"I know that my struggles have been in vain, God. It doesn't matter. Most importantly, once this little angel is born, please give me the strength so that I can always care for, accompany and protect her from anything," Mario muttered bitterly.
Meanwhile, once she got home, Aurora walked slowly from the outside door to her bedroom. His gaze was straight and even blank. The fact that he just got really shook his heart and mind.
Even Sophia, who at that time had just finished making drinks in the pantry, accidentally saw Aurora's whereabouts. Feeling strange, he decided to approach and then ask.
"Aurora, what's wrong?" asked Sophia as she walked closer to Aurora.
Aurora didn't answer. As soon as Sophia stood right in front of him, he without warning immediately burst into a hug. Even the sound of crying was soon heard flowing from his lips.
Sophia was certainly confused. Unraveling the hug, Tristan's wife immediately pulled Aurora to move to her room. Once inside, Sophia immediately asked Aurora to sit on the edge of the bed.
According to him, the room is the right place to tell stories. It feels more private and moreover, Aurora can also express what's in her heart without worrying about being overheard by other residents.
"What's wrong, Aurora? Why are you crying like this?"
The sound of crying that had been quiet, now sounded more heartbreaking. It was as if Aurora was currently feeling deep pain inside of her.
Sophia herself chose to let it be for a while. Allowing the woman in front of him to be content with continuing to cry. Sophia knew that by crying, at least the feeling of tightness that had gathered in her chest cavity could be channeled a little and also relieved more. It wasn't long before Aurora's crying subsided and Sophia asked again.
"You can tell me what really happened. Don't be sad. Poor baby in your belly."
Aurora wiped away the tears that had made her cheeks drenched. He took several deep breaths, after feeling a little comfortable before he spoke.
"I don't know where to start, Sophia."
"Then tell me slowly. I have plenty of time to hear your story."
Aurora once again took a deep breath. Exhale slowly. Trying to regulate emotions in order to be able to tell stories calmly.
"I really feel stupid. I just found out that Mario is the man I've been looking for."
"What do you mean? The man you've been looking for? I don't understand, Aurora."
Sophia's brows were visibly furrowed. He was certainly confused by Aurora's words that he had just heard.
Aurora sighed. While wiping her wet eyelids, she tried to slowly explain.
"In the past, when I was at school, I had a puppy love. Let's say he was my first love too. We parted ways because he had to move abroad. At that time, he promised that when he grew up and became successful, he would find me and then marry me."
"So?"
"And it turns out that the man kept his promise. He was looking for me until he met. Proving everything he said, including marrying me."
Sophia really listened to what Aurora had to say. Digesting so carefully, then before long he was aghast. There was one point that definitely surprised him.
"Wait a minute. Your first love managed to marry you? What does that mean Mario?"
Aurora nodded firmly.
"Yes, Sophia. Why am I so stupid? It turns out that the man I've been looking for is near me. Even so close. Instead of giving him a chance to explain, I'm busy chasing Tristan until I close my eyes to his presence."
Sophia was shocked to hear Aurora's story. How could she have thought that the man Aurora had often despised and looked down on was the man she was looking for and was even her first love.
"My God, why is Aurora so complicated. Where do you know this news from? Is the information very valid?"
Aurora nodded.
"I even clarified directly to Mario. And he admits it. Gosh, what should I do? He's even furious and intends to divorce me, Sophia. What should I do?"
Sophia massaged her temples. He became dizzy thinking about Aurora's fate, which can be said to be on the edge.
"Calm down, Aurora. I think you should be calm and don't be in the least bit rash. The main thing you should do is give Mario some space for a moment. Let him calm down first. Once things get better or conditional, you should apologize immediately. If no, I'm sure this problem will not be resolved. End your selfish attitude or you will lose Mario forever."
Aurora digested all of Sophia's suggestions. Consider for a moment to finally agree. Deep down he knew that this was his fault. So it is only fitting that he apologize for all the mess that has happened.
"Then, now you have to rest. I'll help you wipe and change your clothes. After that, take your vitamins and go to bed. It's not good for pregnant women to sleep too late," Sophia said at length.
Aurora obeyed. He then let Sophia do what she had previously said.
***
Aurora had been waiting for Mario to arrive. From behind the window of the room, he occasionally peeked. Check whether her husband has arrived at the office or not.
Until a few minutes later, a smile appeared on Aurora's lips without feeling it. From behind the window of the room, he could see the figure of Mario who had just arrived and entered the man's room.
Aurora felt a little relieved. Even if she didn't say hello, at least she could see her husband's figure.
There are things that make Aurora look impatient too. Today, she is sure that she can meet face to face with her husband because there is a deadline file that the man must submit for immediate correction.
That's why, while doing her job, Aurora waited patiently. Until that time came, Mario actually entered his study.
The man knocked politely on the door as usual. Sign in, then hand over the file to Aurora to check and sign.
"I have summarized everything into one. Mrs. Aurora can check once more and then sign it. I plan to send this file today."
Aurora nodded. Grabbing the blue folder that Mario brought with him to read for a moment. So sure and did not find the slightest problem, at that moment Aurora signed a signature which she then handed back to her husband.
Without saying much, Mario intends to immediately bring the file he previously handed over. Getting ready to leave, but suddenly stopped.
"Wait a minute Mario," Aurora held back.
Mario then turned around. Throwing a questioning glance, the man spoke, "What's wrong, madam? Is there anything left?"
Aurora shook her head. Staring fixedly, he locked Mario's gaze to keep looking at him.
"We need to have a serious talk. This matter must be resolved in order to ----"
"No need," interrupted Mario. "Everything is very clear. Nothing else needs to be clarified or clarified. After all, you wanted us to divorce from the start, right? Yes, I have agreed. I grant that request. Be patient, in a few months you will be truly free."
"Mario, it's not like that."
Mario didn't care. Instead of hearing Aurora finish her sentence first, the man casually walked away. Act as if Aurora is no longer worth it in his eyes.
Unlike Aurora, he looked bitterly at Mario's departure. Thousands of regrets now began to burst into his feelings. Pain is not playing being ignored like now. Maybe, this is what Mario has been feeling all this time. But, instead of leaving, the man had been so patient and faithful waiting for him.
Now? Maybe Mario's patience limit has run out. Never mind giving a chance, even looking at Aurora didn't seem willing.
This is really proven. During office hours, Aurora, who had gone down to the ground floor, saw Mario standing in the lobby from a distance. From the way he looked, he looked like he was waiting for someone.
Aurora slowly stepped closer. Not to mention Mario's side, his eyes had caught the presence of a woman who the other day had been involved in a conversation with her husband.
Aurora saw clearly that the two of them hugged each other briefly before getting ready to leave. Not wanting to lose the moment, Aurora tries to get Mario's attention. He pretended to fall, then was unconscious.
"Gosh, what's going on? Why is it so crowded all of a sudden?" said Claudia who saw many employees running to one of the points.
Mario, who saw his wife lying on the floor, initially wanted to come running to help. But, seeing that many have helped, he failed to help. Instead decided to immediately go with Claudia.
"I don't know. At most there are employees who fall or suddenly become unconscious. Just let it be. After all, there have been many who have helped."
Mario then asked Claudia to go to the car immediately. Leaving Aurora just like that without feeling the slightest bit of pity.
