Chapter 41 Past

I saw everyone's face light up. Cassy started crying in happiness, I let out a small laugh with a combination of cries. "His heartbeat is steady, he's fine," I told them.

The boys smiled and laugh at a miracle that just happened. It's a miracle!

"Thank God!" Cassy beamed, thankful. Oh! thank you, Lord God.

I let go of his hand and then Lucas came slowly and examined him, he's great in medicine. I don't know why he didn't take a medicinal course.

Lucas looked so happy "It's a miracle! He's out of danger now and he's healing so fast. He's stable and he might wake up later." Then suddenly his face turned confused "But... how? It seems, impossible..." he said more to himself.

Yeah, how? Do you have anything to do with this Claire? Or I was just hallucinating earlier. But how can anyone explain this, a deadly poison won't go out of his body on its own. Claire... I know I saw you... or I was hallucinating earlier...

"Whatever is this, doesn't matter. What matters is that Xenon is alive and out of danger. Our friend is alive." Adrian said with happiness in his eyes. I smiled. I'm glad he's happy now.

"That's true! Let's thank God for this miracle. God is the answer for everything." Coby said smiling.

"Claire..." I gasped when I heard Xenon talked, his voice was not weak anymore it's more likely he's talking in his dream.

Then he slowly opened his eyes.

"Dude!" "Xen!" "Xenon!" Everyone exclaimed in sync as all of us came near him.

Then we saw him smile, a wide smile!? He just died and he smiled?

"Dude! What are you smiling at? You creep the hell out of us!" Coby said smiling then turned angry all of a sudden.

"What? I had the best dream ever." He stated biting his lips hiding his smile.

"Don't stop me! I'll kill him!" Coby said angrily stopping himself.

"Xen, we're happy to see you back from the dead," Adrian said patting Xenon's shoulder.

Then it just struck him, his forehead wrinkled confused "Wha-what do you mean? Did I die?" He asked.

"And you just ask about that!? Don't you see we're from the verge of crying!" Coby exclaimed, his eyes are teary again.

"I'm sorry." He said in sadness and guilt.

"Don't ever do that again Dude, don't leave us again." Lucas' face turned serious.

"I won't, I am still alive- but how? I remember dying without aids for the poison... " He turned curious as he looked at Lucas yearning for an answer.

Everyone turned sad remembering what just happened earlier.

"It was a miracle, you died but suddenly you were brought back to life and was out of danger," I explained, I can't deny the curiosity crept in me.

"I was saved by an angel." He said smiling, his eyes are glistening with happiness. We all smiled too.

Xenon is already stable but there's something different from him, he became a 'lil bit vivacious. He's happier, does he know? Did he also saw her?

Cassy and I are in the living room when I decided to stand up.

"Cassy, Xenon is stable now, let's go back to our room," I demanded and she nodded.

I wanted to make sure of things especially what I saw earlier, it seems real...

I went towards Xenon's room with Cassy behind me, the four are having their bonds. It's like they found each other after years of separation.

I opened the door and hear their laughs.

"Xen," I called Xenon and he looked at me.

"I think we need to go back to our room now-" I was cut off by Adrian.

"Now? It's too dark outside, stay here. We have our guest room for the two of you to stay." He said walking towards me.

I looked at him "No, we have to go back" then I looked back to Xenon, he can't resist this "If Claire is already there, she might be all alone in the room." His eyes sparkled after hearing the name 'Claire' then his face turned to worry.

He nodded which made me smile, see? "Adrian, take them back to their room, my car key is on the table, just get it there." He said in his serious voice.

"Tch." Adrian shakes his head not believing his friend's actions. I smiled at him playfully.

"I'll go with you!" Coby volunteered as he raises his hand and stands up staring at Cassy. Tch.

"Goodnight Xenon! Goodnight Lucas!" I said to the two.

"Goodnight Dren! Goodnight Cassy!" The two said in chorus.

"Goodnight!" Cassy beamed. Suddenly, Coby put his arms on Cassy's shoulder which was immediately taken by Cassy, and walked faster towards the stairs.

I started walking, I'm not far when I heard Xenon shouted "Send my regards to Claire!"

The boys let out a small laugh and we continue going outside.

In our way it was silent, then suddenly,

"I miss you," Adrian said in his soft voice.

I looked away, he's driving and I am sitting in the passenger seat.

"Aid please, I already moved on. I just need closure." My voice is partly cold. I wanted to forget about him, I wanted to forget these feelings. But why it is so difficult?

"Dren, I still love you and I always will, just give me a chance." He pleaded, I looked down. I still love you but it just hurt. What happened two years ago is still fresh in my mind.

"It still hurts Aid. It's hard." My voice was low.

Then, I felt him hold my hand. I stiffened, his warm hand... I miss it, I miss it so much.

Suddenly the car stopped, we're here. I took my hand out of him and get out of the car but before I close it, "I need you Dren and I know you still love me, I will not give up." I heard with determination in his voice.

The moment Cassy and I reached our room the car drove back to the mansion.

When we opened the door...
