Unexpected Encounter At The Bar

BLAKE'S POV

After observing Bella's departure into her dormitory, I turned around and embarked on my journey back to where I had parked my car. The moment I settled behind the steering wheel, the vehicle roared to life, and I drove off to my favourite bar.

As I zoomed down the road, the voice of my inner companion, Drake, popped up, serving as a constant reminder of the twists and turns in my life as a werewolf. "Hey, Blake," Drake's telepathic voice echoed in my mind, blending smoothly with my thoughts. Even though I was concentrating on the road, I answered without saying a single word, thanks to our mental connection that let us communicate without making a sound.

Drake's question hit the heart of the problem I was wrestling with. "Those words you said to Bella back there, do you really mean them?" He probed, digging into the truth of my intentions.

In response, I scoffed, hiding my emotions behind a mask of indifference. "Why on earth would I mean those silly words about having feelings for her?" I retorted, concealing the inner conflict. "I just said those sweet things to get her to come to my party."

Drake's perceptive questioning persisted, probing deeper into the reasons behind my actions. "So, why do you want her at your party?" he continued, his skepticism clear.

"You should already know, Drake," I replied, my tone betraying my hidden motives. "I want her at the party because it's the only chance I have to get close to her and fulfill my long-held desire."

Drake's reaction was one of disbelief, and he didn't hold back. "Goodness! I can't believe you're saying this, Blake," he exclaimed. "Bella is your mate, not just some random girl you can interact with casually. When are you going to recognize the fact that mates hold immense significance for us and shouldn't be taken lightly?"

Frustrated by his moralizing, I chose to block him out mentally, redirecting my focus to the road ahead, my determination unwavering as I drove to the bar.

Honestly, I was really tired of hearing all those silly facts about mates. Like, who on earth came up with this whole mate thing? Who's the idiot who came up with the idea of mates and mate bonds? I get it, we're werewolves, but can't we just be like humans and pick our own partners instead of trying to find some special she-wolf that a darn Moon goddess supposedly created for us?

To be completely honest, I never had any interest in seeking out my mate. Even when I turned eighteen and my buddies discovered their mates, I couldn't care less about that stuff. It wasn't until they, my friends Derrick, Merrick, and Hendrick, shared how delightful and euphoric it was to be intimate with their mates that I started paying attention. These guys were quite the playboys before they found their mates, but once they experienced that connection, they assured me it was even sweeter than being with human women.

Given that my friends never joked around when it came to matters of intimacy, I realized they were dead serious about what they were saying. It got me wondering just how amazing it must be. What would it feel like to be intimate with one's mate? Would it be different from the encounters I'd had with other she-wolves and human women? Could it truly be as special as they claimed it to be? These questions began to consume my thoughts from that moment onwards, transforming into a sort of fantasy.

I know it might sound a bit crazy, but I found myself daydreaming about my mate, even though I had no idea who she was at that time. And yet, the fantasy alone wasn't enough for me. I began my quest to find my mate, driven by the hope of turning that fantasy into reality.

On my very first day as a lecturer at Briarwood University, when I laid eyes on Bella, I had this undeniable feeling that she was my mate. That day, I was genuinely thrilled, knowing I could finally bring my fantasy to life. Without wasting any time, I started thinking up reasons to get Bella to come to my place, with the intention of being intimate with her. I figured that throwing a party at my house would be the best way to have her over without arousing any suspicions. That's why I decided to plan a party and extend an invitation to Bella.

Now that she has accepted the invitation, all that remains is for the day of the party to come. At that point, I'll finally be able to be intimate with her and, well, part ways afterwards.

After a brisk thirty-minute drive, I pulled into the familiar parking lot of my cherished haven, Brandie Bar. Slipping my car into a vacant spot, I killed the engine and exited the vehicle. The neon signs and lively chatter from within the bar beckoned, offering a brief respite from the complexities that weighed heavily on my mind.

Stepping through the entrance of the bar, I found myself immediately surrounded by the familiar ambiance of soft, warm lighting, the sound of glasses clinking, and the gentle buzz of conversations. A faint smile touched my lips as I weaved my way through the bustling crowd, making my way towards the corner of the bar where my three friends were holding court.

Derrick, Merrick, and Hendrick, my loyal companions, were comfortably settled in a secluded nook. Each of them had a human woman on their lap, and their friendly smiles matched their carefree attitude. The ladies perched on their laps swayed to the music, their laughter blending with the live band's rendition of a popular tune.

As I approached the group, we exchanged nods and knowing smiles. We were the quintessential playboys of the supernatural realm, unburdened by the idea of mates. Even though the triplets had found their mates, it hadn't stopped them from living their playboy lifestyle and pursuing other she-wolves and human women.

The women sitting on the laps of Derrick, Merrick, and Hendrick emitted an air of grace and charm, and their clothing choices were both tasteful and appealing. They each dressed to make a strong impression, showcasing their unique styles that matched their personalities.

The lady on Derrick's lap wore a sleek, tight-fitting black cocktail dress. It had a low-cut neckline that highlighted her elegant collarbone and a daring thigh-high slit that revealed just enough of her long, shapely legs. The dress hugged her curves, emphasizing her hourglass figure, and she completed her look with a pair of strappy heels. Her hair was styled in loose waves that flowed down her shoulders, adding a touch of sophistication to her overall appearance.

Merrick's companion chose a more bohemian and free-spirited style. She donned a flowy maxi dress with a floral print that swayed gracefully with her every move. The dress featured a deep V-neck and a cinched waist that accentuated her slender frame. A simple leather belt emphasized her waistline, and she decided to go barefoot, allowing her to dance freely to the music. Her hair was adorned with a delicate flower crown, enhancing her natural beauty and giving her an ethereal quality.

Hendrick's lap was occupied by a woman radiating confidence and sensuality. She wore a figure-hugging, crimson-red cocktail dress with a plunging neckline and an open back, revealing just enough skin to captivate anyone's attention. Her choice of accessories was minimal but striking, with a pair of statement earrings that drew attention to her face. Expertly applied makeup emphasized her bold red lips, and her high heels accentuated her long, graceful legs.

Derrick, ever the charmer, leaned in to whisper a cheeky comment about my late arrival. "You took your sweet time, Blake. We were starting to think you'd stood us up."

I chuckled and replied, "Can't blame a man for being fashionably late, can you?"

Merrick, the most easygoing of the trio, raised his glass in a mock salute. "To Blake, the late but stylish arrival," he quipped before taking a sip.

Hendrick, who had been engaged in a passionate conversation with the woman on his lap, leaned over and addressed me with a wink. "So, how's it going with Bella, your woman?" he inquired, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

I sighed and decided to indulge them with a simplified version of the truth. "Well, she's accepted the invitation to my party. Let's just say things are progressing, and it wouldn't be long before I fuck and dump her."

My friends exchanged knowing glances, and we swiftly changed the topic to discuss other matters. While engrossed in our conversation, I suddenly felt the urge to use the restroom. I excused myself and made my way there.

Feeling a bit tipsy, I walked to the restroom, trying so hard not to fall or hit my head on something. While navigating the crowded area, I accidentally bumped into a lady, causing her drink to spill onto my blue shirt.

"My apologies, sir," she said, glancing up to meet my face. "How clumsy of me." The expression on her face turned into a surprised one when she saw my face.

She had a nice accent with a little touch of Swiss to it. She was on a black strapless evening gown. The flimsy material of the gown made it see through. I could perfectly outline her shape. If you look very closely at her dress, you can tell she wasn't wearing anything underneath. She was a chemical Blondie with alluring glossed lips and a perfectly sculptured face.

One word can describe her, she was pretty. Pretty without any make-up on. She was as natural as sunlight and smelt amazing too.

We found ourselves standing there, gazing into each other's eyes, and I couldn't help but notice her lips forming an inviting smile. Her scent revealed her as a fellow werewolf, and it seemed she had also discerned my true nature.

"Professor Blake," she eventually broke the silence, and I was taken aback that she not only knew my name but was aware of my academic position.

"How did you know my name?" I inquired, somewhat taken aback. Although, I was a bit tipsy, but I was conscious of my environment.

"Well, my name is Sandra, and that's all you need to know," she replied, bridging the distance between us. In a seductive whisper, she added, "Would you like to have some fun with me, Professor Blake?"
