BELLA'S POV

Professor Blake's question still hung in the air, and I started pondering the answer I'd give him.

"Professor Blake," I finally said, my voice tinged with nervousness, "I also want us to have a deeper connection, but we've only just met, and I believe it's important for us to get to know each other better before taking any significant steps in our relationship."

He nodded in understanding, his eyes still locked onto mine. "I completely respect your perspective, Bella. It's important for us to build a strong foundation."

He then leaned in closer and continued, "And that's precisely why I invited you to the party I'll be hosting at my place in two days. It's an opportunity for us to spend more time together, get to know each other better, and let our connection grow. So, have you given my invitation some thought?"

I smiled, feeling a mixture of excitement and anticipation. The idea of getting to know Professor Blake outside the classroom was enticing, and the upcoming party seemed like the perfect chance to explore the potential of our connection further.

"Yes, I have given it a thought," I replied, my voice more confident now, "I'd be delighted to attend your party. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better, Professor."

His smile widened, and he gently squeezed my hand. "I can't wait for you to meet my friends and for us to share a special evening. It's gonna be exciting, Bella, and I also can't wait to know more about you."

I simply smiled as we continued to gaze into each other's eyes beneath the moonlit sky. Our faces were mere inches apart, and I could feel my heart racing with each passing moment.

Just as he had done before, Professor Blake swept me off my feet, cradling me in his arms, and we vanished from the riverside with an exhilarating burst of speed, propelled by his remarkable werewolf abilities. With a charming smile that left me fluttered, he spoke, "I guess this is the part where I say goodnight."

"Yeah," I replied with a nervous smile, our proximity causing my heart to quicken. Suddenly, he closed the gap between us, encircling his arms around my waist, pulling me closer, our bodies pressing dangerously against each other.

My heart raced at the closeness, its beats so rapid it felt like it might burst out of my chest. He leaned in and placed a brief, soft kiss on my lips, leaving me yearning for more.

"You don't know how happy I feel now that I've found you. I feel so happy and complete, and I hope you feel the same," he said with a smile, his thumb caressing my cheek.

My cheeks grew warm with embarrassment, and I shyly looked away to avoid his gaze. He chuckled softly and gently turned my chin to make me meet his green eyes.

"You look really beautiful, Bella, and I'm so lucky to have you as my mate," he said with a soft voice, rendering me flustered and speechless. I couldn't utter a word; I could only gaze at his strikingly handsome face.

The man before me was the most handsome I had ever seen, with his green eyes, thick brown brows, straight nose, chiseled jawline, and tempting pink lips. I should be the lucky one to have him as my mate.

His voice broke through my thoughts, "It's getting late, beautiful Bella. You should head inside and get some rest."

Nervously, I smiled as he released his arms from my waist, and I adjusted my eyeglasses shyly.

"Goodnight, Bella," he said.

"Yeah... goodnight," I replied nervously, making my way into the dorm, still feeling flustered. As I entered the living area, I flinched in fright when I saw Sandra sitting on a couch, engrossed in her phone.

"Jeez, Sandra. You scared the daylights out of me," I exclaimed.

"And where are you coming from in the middle of the night?" she asked as I settled beside her on the couch.

"I went somewhere with Professor Blake," I confessed with a sheepish smile, noticing her furrowed brows.

"Professor Blake was here?" she asked, her tone filled with surprise.

"Yes," I nodded, still smiling sheepishly.

"And you went out with him?" she probed.

"Yeah," I replied, curious about her line of questioning.

"Did something happen between the two of you?"

"Something like what?" I inquired.

"Did you guys kiss or do anything explicit?" she pressed further.

"We only kissed," I replied with a smile, reminiscing about the moment Professor Blake and I shared by the riverside.

Sandra's frown deepened when I mentioned our kiss.

"What's with the frown, Sandra? Is something wrong?" I asked, concerned.

"Nothing," she replied briefly, standing up and walking to her room.

Her cryptic response left me puzzled, and I couldn't help but wonder why Sandra seemed so concerned about my evening with Professor Blake, and why she frowned when I mentioned that I kissed professor Blake. As she retreated to her room, I sat on the couch, replaying the magical moments with Professor Blake in my mind.
