My heart raced as I processed the audacious words that had just escaped Professor Blake's lips. The vulnerability of the situation sent a chill down my spine, and I felt exposed, both physically and emotionally. I quickly wrapped the towel around myself, securing its edges with trembling hands.

The professor's voice was a compelling force, his tone imbued with an undeniable magnetism that simultaneously unnerved and captivated me. I found myself at a loss for words, not knowing how to respond to his audacious comment.

"How did you know that.... I was about to put on my nightwear?" I finally managed to ask, my voice wavering as I glanced around the room to check whether there were any secret CCTV cameras.

"Your window is a bit open, so I was able to see you... in your naked form." He replied, and my eyes immediately darted towards the window which was slightly opened. I immediately rushed to thr window she shut it.

"Why are you calling me at this hour, Professor Blake?" I asked.

He chuckled softly on the other end of the line, a sound that sent shivers down my spine. "I've been thinking about you, Bella. You've been on my mind ever since we met this morning, and I couldn't resist reaching out to you."

I couldn't help but feel my cheeks flush with warmth at his words. The revelation that he had been thinking about me all day sent powerful, electric sensations coursing through my entire body, leaving me tingling with excitement.

"Bella, there's something I need you to do for me right now," his voice pierced through my thoughts, instantly grabbing my attention.

"What's that?" I inquired, my curiosity piqued.

"I want you to change into something different and meet me outside," he responded with an air of anticipation in his tone.

"You want me to come outside right this moment?" I questioned, my voice filled with a mix of surprise and intrigue.

"Yes," he affirmed without hesitation.

"Why?" I pressed for an explanation, my curiosity growing stronger.

"Just step outside first, and I'll explain everything," he replied, his voice carrying a sense of mystery and urgency, before abruptly ending the call, leaving me with a sense of eager anticipation and a million questions racing through my mind.

As I stood in my bedroom, still wrapped in the towel, I found myself torn between curiosity and caution. Professor Blake's voice had a magnetic pull, and I couldn't deny that a part of me was intrigued by the unknown.

A whirlwind of thoughts tumbled through my mind as I remained on my spot. Why did he want me to come outside so urgently? What could be so important that it required me to leave the comfort of my room and step out into the night? I paced back and forth in my room, uncertainty gnawing at me. Should I go out and meet him, or should I wait for him to explain over the phone? But the image of him seeing me, having glimpsed my nakedness, sent a wave of embarrassment washing over me. After much contemplation, I made my decision. I wouldn't go outside to meet him. The thought of facing him with the memory of my exposed self was just too embarrassing and uncomfortable.

With a heavy heart and a lingering sense of curiosity, I settled down to wait for his call, hoping he would provide the answers I so desperately sought.

Amelia's voice echoed in my mind, her wolfish wisdom cutting through my turmoil. "And why are you not going out to see your mate like he requested?" she inquired.

"He saw my... nakedness, and you expect me to face him after that?" I retorted telepathically, my inner turmoil evident in my response.

"He's your mate, Bella, and sooner or later, he'd have seen your nakedness if he didn't see it now," Amelia reasoned, her words resonating with a hint of truth.

Her words did make sense. In the world of werewolves, the concept of modesty and privacy was different. Mates shared an intimate connection, and such moments were bound to happen sooner or later. I took a deep breath, trying to summon the courage to face the inevitable. Maybe it was time to confront the situation, awkward as it may be.

With renewed determination, I quickly put on my nightwear, wore my eyeglasses and rushed out of the room, clutching my phone tightly in my left hand. My heart continued its rapid pace as I made my way to the door and stepped into the living area, only to find Sandra was no longer there. She must have gone to her room, I thought.

With each step, I walked out of the building and into the night. The darkness enveloped me, but it held no fear for me. As a werewolf, I possessed the special ability to see clearly even in the thickest darkness, a gift that we shared with our kind.

I scanned the tranquil environment, and there he was, my mate, standing beside a tree, a striking figure against the night. His presence was magnetic, and I couldn't help but be drawn to him.

Exhaling sharply, I steeled myself and started walking towards Professor Blake. The feeling of awkwardness was still there, but my determination to face him and whatever explanation he had was stronger.

As I closed the distance between us, Professor Blake's piercing gaze met mine. His green eyes held a mixture of relief and anticipation, and I couldn't help but feel more nervous. The fact that we just met and he had even seen my nakedness added to my nervousness.

"I thought you were not gonna come," he said with a smirk as I approached.

I smiled nervously in response, still unable to find the words to break the silence between us. The night air was crisp, and the world around us felt suspended in time, as if it were just the two of us in that moment.

"So, why did you ask me to come out?" I finally broke the silence.

In the blink of an eye, he swept me off my feet, cradled me in his arms, and whisked me away. Within minutes, we found ourselves standing beside a tranquil river, its surface glistening under the gentle caress of the moonlight. Professor Blake gently placed me on my feet, and I couldn't help but be captivated by the river's serene beauty. After a while, I turned to Professor Blake, my curiosity piqued as to why he had brought me here.

"Professor," I whispered softly, "why did you bring me here?"

Instead of providing an immediate answer, he settled down on the ground and patted the space beside him, silently inviting me to join him. I hesitantly took my place by his side, and together, we gazed at the river's shimmering waters before he began to speak.

"Bella," he started, his voice filled with a mix of emotions. "I turned eighteen eight years ago, and ever since, I've been hoping to meet my mate..." He paused briefly, and I fixated my gaze on him, eager to hear more. He continued, "Three years after my birthday, I lost hope in finding my mate. I thought perhaps the Moon Goddess hadn't created a mate for me or I wasn't destined to have one. It pained me deeply, and witnessing my friends' happiness with their mates only intensified my sorrow."

As he spoke, I sensed a lingering trace of pain in his voice. I understood that pain all too well, for I, too, had experienced the same anguish when I failed to encounter my mate after turning eighteen. It was an intrinsic tradition among werewolves to be able to sense their mates upon reaching this milestone age. The absence of that connection caused immense heartache. Now, however, he sat beside me, appearing captivating and irresistible.

"Bella," Professor Blake's voice drew me out of my reverie. "Since I met you this morning, I've felt an overwhelming sense of joy and elation. I couldn't stop thinking about you all day; you've consumed my thoughts. That's why I couldn't resist coming to find you."

His words caused a warm blush to creep up my cheeks, and I shyly averted my gaze, fiddling with my eyeglasses in a display of nervousness.

My heart raced as I absorbed his words. It was as though the universe had conspired to bring us together after years of longing and loneliness. His vulnerability touched a chord deep within me, for I, too, had felt the weight of solitude and the yearning to find my destined partner.

"Bella," Professor Blake called, and I turned my attention back to him.

His question hung in the air, and I started pondering the answer I'd give him. Should I accept or not? Should I say yes or no?
