"Seeing him like that, it broke my heart... it broke all of our hearts."
Ryan's POV
I woke up to yelling... again.
I hurried down the hallway towards the living room where the commotion was coming from. I made it and frowned at the sight.
"Shut up." Kaden snarled and his mother shook her head. Tears laced her eyes.
"Drop the knife son." Former Alpha Clayton growled, but his voice cracked with fear.
I looked between my alpha and his parents.
What the hell?
"I can't do it anymore." Kaden snarled.
"You can't just give up." I growled and my alpha chuckled bitterly.
"Why not?" Kaden asked bitterly. Tears were pooled in his reddened eyes and his voice cracked.
I gulped as he pressed the knife against his throat. Blood dripped down in a thin line. Where the hell did he get a knife?
"Because I know you Kaden, you do not give up." I said and he gave a lopsided grin.
"There's a first time for everything." Kaden growled and pressed the knife harder against his throat.
"What about Amelia?" A soft voice cried and I tensed as I saw Nancy had came into the room. Her blue eyes were wide as she looked at the suicidal alpha.
"She'll be sad if you die... You can't do this." Nancy said and Kaden let out a chocking sound and dropped the knife. Blood oozed from his wound, but it didn't look too bad. As I watched he sank to the ground.
He sat on his knees and buried his face in his hands. I listened and was unsure what to do when I heard him begin to cry. I gulped in nervousness.
Nancy didn't waste any time as she walked over to Kaden and wrapped her little arms around him.
"It'll be okay Alpha... You just have to wait." She said and Kaden was silent except for his sobs.
"It hurts. Everything hurts." Kaden croaked and Nancy whimpered softly.
"She loves you Alpha. Even when you made her Omega and messed with that awful girl, she still loved you. She always got a look in her eyes when I asked her about you. She wouldn't want you to kill yourself." Nancy said and pulled away from Kaden.
"I'm telling Amelia." Nancy said in a matter-of-fact manner.
Kaden looked at the girl after a while and huffed, "I don't care." Nancy gave a nod and kicked the knife away before settling her hand on the alpha's chest.
"That's were you're wrong. If you didn't care, Amy wouldn't be here as a replacement." Nancy said and everyone hushed.
"Amelia wouldn't be crying." Nancy said and all eyes focused on her.
"What?" Kaden asked and Nancy looked at her feet.
"Amelia was crying... you didn't hear?" She said and looked at everyone with wide eyes.
"She said 'I don't know what to do' a bunch of times... while you were in the room with Amy... No one heard her?" Nancy said looking bewildered.
"She was here?" The alpha croaked looking slightly ashamed.
"You slept with Amy again?" I growled and Kaden glanced away. I shook my head, great.
Nancy sighed. "No she wasn't here. I heard her in my head... She was so sad. Then angry. She said, 'I tried to be good. I really tried, but now it doesn't matter. I hate him.' She said a lot of stuff then she started crying a little bit more before it just stopped..." Nancy said and fiddled with her fingers.
"It's kinda funny, because even though you did that, Amelia would never sleep with another man besides you. She may do things, but never give herself up to someone." Nancy said and her voice was bitter. Then with nothing more to say the young girl turned and left the room.
For a while Kaden just sat there then with a growl he stood and stomped out of the room muttering curses.
I shook my head and went back to my room.
Little did we all know, everything was about to blow into chaos.
"There comes a time when we must face our antagonist.... and then our true colors will show."
Amelia's POV
I walked down the hallway and growled softly. I passed pack members and they backed out of my way.
I wanted blood.
I looked around the living room at pack members sitting on the couch and scowled.
"L-Luna's back." Someone gasped and everyone was quiet. I paused and turned to a woman.
"Where's my mate?" I asked her and she blinked softly.
"I'm not sure..." she said and I snarled.
"Do you know what woman he was with?" I asked her and a lot of people nodded.
"Amy." Someone said and my heart instantly turned cold. I clenched my fists and nodded slowly. My tongue sucked on my teeth.
"Thank you." I growled and turned before making my way through the house once again.
It didn't take long for me to find Amy. She was casually sitting in the kitchen doing who knows what.
She saw me and for a second she looked scared, then she glared and rolled her eyes. A growl rumbled from me.
"You slept with my mate." I snarled and she shrugged.
"He came on to me. Don't look at me like it's all my fault." Amy scoffed and picked at her nails.
"Why are you even here?" I snarled and she jumped a little.
"He called me saying he wanted to fuck so here I am." Amy said opening her arms flinging them out in a circular motion. My lip curled upward in disgust.
"Why my mate? Why are you always fucking with my life?" I snarled and she scoffed.
"Who wouldn't want to fuck Kaden? Have you seen him?" She asked with a mocking smile and I frowned.
"Stay away from him." I spat and she scowled.
"Why should I? You didn't stay away from Axel." She said and I shook my head and frowned in confusion. What?
"Why is he even part of the conversation?" I growled.
"He was my mate!" Amy shouted and I paused.
Wait. Pause. Rewind. What in the flip, flap, floppity, flying flock is going on? Did I hear her right?
Axel was Amy's mate?!
"What?" I gasped.
"He was my mate!" Amy spat at me with a venomous look.
"Did Kaden know?" I asked in bewilderment. Amy laughed bitterly.
"Of course Kaden didn't know. Why would he give a damn about my past?" Amy growled at me.
"Still, that has nothing to do with me." I snarled at the girl and she gave me a horrible look.
"It has everything to do with you!" She shouted and I scoffed. My arms crossed over my chest.
