"This is us."
Amelia's POV
Kaden and I sat in bed. I'd begun a movie.
Julius was staying with Blu and Luke for the night, the young couple had offered to watch him and though Kaden was hesitant at first I talked him into it.
"I haven't watched this since..." he trailed off before shaking his head.
I eyed him and pity ached in my heart. There was no need to be jealous anymore.
"Play it." He said and I nodded before starting the movie.
We settled down in bed as the movie started and I snuggled closer to Kaden.
I smiled as Kaden's arm draped over me and he pulled me closer.
"Thank you for this Amelia. Thank you for being mine." He whispered and kissed my neck as the opening credits faded.
I smiled and snuggled closer against him. His lips trailed against my mark and I gasped. Kaden's deep melodic laugh followed and I huffed and crossed my arms over my chest.
"You're so cute when you pout." My mate growled affectionately and his tongue licked his claim on me. I moaned softly and my hands clenched into fists as I held myself at bay. Finally he stopped.
He pulled back with a grin and grabbed my hand.
"This is kinda overdue, but here." He slipped a ring on my finger and kissed the back of my hand.
"I think Amelia Ravenwolf has a nice ring to it, don't you?" Kaden asked and I smiled and kissed his lips passionately.
"I think it does." I said as we stopped to breathe. He smirked and kissed the side of my neck. I grinned and closed my eyes.
"The movie." I hummed.
"Fuck the movie." Kaden sighed and pulled me down on the bed and pinning me under him. He pressed his lips to mine once more. Soon we'd discarded our clothes...
"Kaden--don't stop." I moaned as he rocked against me. His hands gripped my waist and I moaned his name as his actions became slightly rougher, yet oh so full of passion. I admired the monstrous man that was my mate.
"That's all I wanted to here." Kaden groaned before kissing my lips and driving my crazy.
My nails scraped against his back and Kaden growled softly. He deepened the kiss as his body continued to make me know that he was the Alpha; that he could make me submissive as he seduced me so wickedly; that he was mine and only mine, and I his.
That he loved me and he would always be there.
Dear whoever you may be,
You've read my life. Know me as much as I know myself. Maybe even more.
I always assumed mates would be the cure to everything. That finding them would be a heaven. That they alone would be a shield from all harm. That just meeting would bring about forever happiness.
But of course just meeting does not make it all better. No; there were many hardships, some caused by my mate himself. Some caused by me. Some by outsiders... At times I thought we would never really be together. I figured I'd leave him one day. Yet he surprised me and showed me he could be everything I ever dreamed of.
I used to think having an Alpha as a mate would bring only pain and suffering, but as I lay beside my husband at night I now realize how foolish that thought was.
I am Amelia Ravenwolf, Luna of the Ravenwolf pack of three-hundred and forty-eight wolves and counting and happy wife of the alpha.
My son Julius grows stronger with everyday and being five now, he was really rambunctious. I watched as he shifted into his black pup and bounded around. A smile tugged at my lips.
Kaden Ravenwolf was and still is my rock. Without him I don't know how I'd cope. I'd probably still be a crummy Omega somewhere being constantly tormented.
He's my everything. They both were.
I walked from the bathroom and sat on the edge of the bed.
I sat there thinking about all that had happened in my life. All the hardships and happy times... it was very surreal if you thought about it. Yet my life had ended up a good one.
Though it was full of trials and tribulations, I wouldn't trade my life for anything.
In the end I knew I could never leave Kaden. The Alpha was my rock, my husband, my everything.
I glanced around the empty room before sighing and standing. My hand grasped a picture as I left our bedroom and made it downstairs.
It was late, the house was pretty quiet. I made my way into the living room.
I held the picture in my hand and smiled fondly as I looked at it.
My smile widened as I glanced up to see a young teen walking in the room. The fifteen year old was growing into a lovely young woman. Her blond locks still curled and hung down her back. She'd refused to cut it for a year after the last time where it'd been "too short" and she was mortified (I'd thought it was adorable). Her pink lips smiled revealing her white teeth and her blue eyes shown bright.
"Nancy." I said and her grin grew. She bounded over to me and nudged my shoulder.
"Where's Kaden?" She asked and I shrugged.
"Out; he should be home soon." I said softly. Kaden had had to settle a dispute among two of the Northern packs.
"What are you still doing up?" I asked her and she shrugged.
"Ryan's showering and he doesn't want me around him because... well, his wolf might-" she started and her cheeks became red.
"You don't have to continue, I get it." I said quickly and she nodded and let out a relieved sigh.
"Wassup Amelia? Kade coming home?" I glanced over as Brenton walked into the room. His dark hair was ruffled and his dark brown eyes glinted. My nineteen-year-old brother scratched his chin as I nodded.
I watched as his eyes flitted to Nancy and he watched her for a bit before clearing his throat, "Hey Nancy."
Nancy's eyes landed on Brent and her cheeks reddened more as she looked away, "Hi Brent." Her voice was soft and I raised my eyebrows at Brenton.
What? Brent said through the mind-link.
Do you want Ryan to attack you again? I asked and Brent made a face.
Its not my fault she thinks I'm sexy. I'm not worried about Ryan. Its just... I like her okay? I can't help it. Just look at her. She's perfect. Brenton said dreamily and I sighed.
She's got Ryan. Remember that. You'll find your mate. I replied.
I was a rogue... what if Goddess didn't give me one? Brenton said and his gaze drifted upward.
I know she did.
How can you be so sure?
Because. You've got a good heart.
Brenton just rolled his eyes before leaving the room with a huff and I watched him a frown of concern making its way to my face. I'd have a talk with him later.
Nancy cleared her throat and I glanced over to see her looking guilty.
"That was about me, wasn't it?" She asked softly and I gave a sigh and nodded.
"This is all my fault. I encouraged him. I should've just ignored him and then he wouldn't like me." Nancy said crossing her arms and biting on her bottom lip looking crestfallen.
"It's not your fault Nancy, he'll grow out of it." I said and the young girl's frown deepened.
"I hope so... remember last year, when I tried to set him up with Rachael?" Nancy said and I nodded remembering. He'd turned her down like a dog.
"Yeah. And then she got all mad at me. I didn't know he was gonna be like that." Nancy huffed.
I nodded in understanding. Racheal was a pretty, nice, rowdy brunette with amber eyes. She was curvy yet lean, athletic, lovely to be around, and three years older than Nancy.
You'd think my brother would've given it a chance, but no.
"Well I'm going to turn in for the night... Goodnight Amelia. You don't want me to stay up with you, do you?" Nancy said as I took a seat on the couch and I shook my head.
"I'll be fine. I'm just going to wait for Kaden." I said as I settled into the cushions.
"Okay, don't stress yourself out." Nancy said and with a wink she left.
My heart started pounding and I inwardly face palmed.
Of course!
I shook my head softly a smile coming to my lips and waited for my mate to come home.
"Mommy." I looked down as Julius ran into my knees.
"Yes?" I asked and he hopped into my lap causing me to grunt as he kneed my shin.
"Daddy's coming home?" He asked and I nodded and he smiled softly and snuggled against my lap before getting off of me, sitting beside me and falling asleep. I chuckled and ran my hands through his dark hair.
I beamed as Kaden walked into the room and he grinned when he saw me. He was tired, I could tell, as I got up and walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist.
"Hey baby." Kaden huffed and hugged me to him. I sighed and buried my face in his shirt. "How's Julius? Cause any trouble today?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. Last week Julius had colored a picture on the wall... in permanent marker.
"No. He's asleep. See?" I said pointing over to the couch and my mate looked over and nodded.
"Guess what?" I said stepping back and holding the picture in my hand.
"Hmm?" He said rubbing the back of his neck before grabbing my arm and pulling me back to him. I giggled and brought up the picture.
"Look." I said and his eyes landed on the picture. For a moment he looked confused as he stared at the picture and I smirked. His eyes widened and he tightened his grip on my arm.
"Really?" He whispered in a shocked voice. I nodded and bit my lip trying to contain my joyful laughter.
Abruptly Kaden scooped me up and kissed me softly on the lips. His eyes shown with happiness and I felt my stomach flutter.
"I can't believe it." Kaden sighed and kissed me again. I smiled and kissed him back passionately.
"It's a boy." I breathed. Kaden chuckled and buried his face in my hair.
"Does Julius know?" Kaden asked.
"Do I know what?" A little voice said and I looked over to see Julius peering at us sleepily.
"You're gonna be a big brother. Mommy's having another baby boy." Kaden said and Julius blinked.
"That's good. Now you finally have a son." Julius said and my mouth gaped. He turned away from us and laid back on the couch.
"Julius?" Kaden asked but our boy said nothing and just laid there.
"Did something happen today?" Kaden asked looking at me and I shook my head.
"He's been with me all day." I said. Kaden frowned slowly. He looked back to Julius, who was still ignoring us.
"I already have a son. You're my son. Who the--who told you that you weren't my son?" Kaden growled going over to Julius and picking him up.
"I heard the grownups talking." Julius said and Kaden growled again.
"Don't listen to those mutts; you're a Ravenwolf, just like me and your mother, you understand me?" He asked and Julius nodded softly. Kaden sighed.
"Come here." He said kissing our pup's head. "It's time for bed anyway." He hugged Julius to him and throwing me a what-the-hell look Kaden started to the room and waited for me to catch up.
We made our way to the bedroom and Kaden insisted we all shower together before getting into bed.
I laid beside him and he pulled me against him. I smiled and snuggled close. Julius climbed into the middle of us and we chuckled as he made himself comfortable.
"I love you."
So, if you're reading this. Keep this in mind:
Once you find the one that's going to make you happy, if it's meant to be and you feel it in your heart, don't let anything get in the way of the love you deserve.
Because you deserve everything.
