Making friends

“Sorry, she means can we sit here with you.” The one I presumed to be Josie said.

“Whatever,” I said as they sat down, and they started discussing amongst themselves.

“Everyone, let me introduce our newest classmate Tiana.” Jeiel said trying to make conversation.

“I see. Name is Hazel and this is my twin sister Josie.” Hazel said dropping her feet on the table.

“Bitchy. I like her.” I said smirking.

“Hazel, drop your feet down, that is rude and we are not at home.” Hazel said chastising her.

“So what? You are not the boss of me.” Hazel said stuffing some of her fries in her mouth and sipping her juice noisily.

“I do hope her name will be in that kill list, I will enjoy killing her. That reminds me, why do I feel like I am forgetting something.” I thought in my mind.

“Sorry about that, Hazel can be a bit……comfortable when she is among people she likes.” Ruby said looking at me.

“Define comfortable.” I said in my mind but nodded nevertheless. I decided not to even speak a word to them at all. Hopefully they will get the hint.

“So… how was class today?” Jeiel said trying to make conversation when she saw that I wasn’t ready to speak.

“Class was bitchy today…. Thank god for those Nutellas….” Hazel was cut short as the door opened again and everywhere became grave as a cemetery.

It was Romeo, he walked in, still with his headphones as he took his already served tray from the counter and made his way to where Blondie aka bad breath and the rest sat. immediately blondie stood up from Aidan and sat properly. Even Hazel dropped her feet back on the ground.

What the hell is wrong with everyone? Are they worshipping him? Is he a god or what? I said in my mind then he stopped and looked at me.

I gulped, uncomfortably as the look became obvious that he was staring at me, with no expression on his face.

Why the hell is he staring at me like that? I thought as he looked at me. Everyone turned to look like me like I was some specimen that they were dissecting. Great, just great. Now I feel naked. I took my juice box and sipped from it, and it was already empty and that was the only sound that was being made. Aidan gave me a look that I had no idea what it was, but it seemed to mean something. God having all eyes on me, was such a bad thing, I mean I haven’t killed anybody yet, I decided to stare back at him, Romeo. He started the whole stare thing and there was no way in hell that I was going to back down. Immediately I looked at him, he kind of I don’t know, regained himself and went to sit down at the table with Aidan.

“Ok, that was weird… wasn’t he staring at me?” I thought to myself as everyone resumed all they were doing.

“Do you know Romeo?” Hazel asked already curious, leaning towards me.

“What, no.” I replied looking away.

“Really, then who is Cj?” Ruby asked looking at me, with suspicious eyes.

“How do you know that name?” I asked totally letting my guard down.

“Call it a twin tuition.” Ruby said as she picked up her spoon to start eating.

“Well I don’t know what you are talking about.” I said as I bent down facing my remaining food. I also wore my headset to avoid any more unwarranted questions. Bad girl by Billie Eilish was playing.

Jeiel was calling my name to gain my attention, but I didn’t reply as I focused on my food, I was determined to finish eating and stand up from this table and have my one sided life back. I am so fucking tired of being near people.

Apparently, they didn’t give it a rest as ruby joined in calling my name. only Josie was the person minding her damn business, aww, I almost felt bad for ignoring her. Key word, is almost. I will do it over and over again if I had the ample opportunity. Hazel then picked a slice of pizza from Jeiel’s plate with Josie asking her what she was up to.

“Drawing attention.” She replied as she threw it at me, thinking I wasn’t conscious of what was going on around me. I smirked as I dogged smoothly and it landed on Blondie making her to scream.

“Oops.” Hazel said as Blondie turned to face us.

“Who the hell threw that at me.” She looked and saw that it was Jeiel who had pizza on her table. Picking her plate, she threw it at Jeiel, as it landed flat on her face smearing her face and uniform with sauce.

Jeiel stood up, as Josie replied this is not good.

What do you mean not good? This is fucking spectacular I yelled in my brain as jeiel took some of Ruby’s food and threw it back at her.

Great, now she had two types of food on her face.

Everyone gasped… at what I didn’t know, but seeing as Ruby stared at Jeiel shocked, I think it was because of what she did. Maybe she wasn’t the crazy kind, maybe she was more understanding, forgiving you know that kind. Well everyone has to snap sometime don’t they?

I made the mistake of taking a plate of noodles, from a random table and aimed at hotshot but it landed on Romeo, who was busy eating his food…oops.

He looked so furious and that was when Hazel hopped on the table and yelled Food fight.

“Food fight!” Hazel yelled as plates of food started flying in different directions.

Oh my freaking goodness, I was shocked at what was happening, Hazel might have been the one who shouted food fight but Josie was the professional in the throwing. I could see hotshot. He took the food of a passerby and threw exactly at me. Ruby threw a plate of food and it landed on Romeo.

Ruby gulped as she took a step backwards and hid behind Jeiel who was covered in different kind of foods. Romeo stood up and carried a piece of food and threw back at them, hitting both Jeiel and Ruby.

Everyone started throwing food at each other. Josie also hopped on our table with tomatoes in both hands and beat her chest, while making weird sounds. Why are there even tomatoes here?

I flipped a random table over and used it as cover as Jeiel, Ruby, Josie and Hazel dived behind it using it as their shield as they threw food at bitch face and others.

During the whole fuss, the teachers and principal walked into the cafeteria to probably make an announcement, but when they saw the whole mess, and everyone, it was like time froze. Everyone paused and the teachers looked mortified.

“What the hell is going on here?” the principal screeched.

Damn, that woman is terrifying, remind me never to get on her bad side, ever I said, in my mind.

“Ma’am, she started it.” Blondie said pointing at Ruby, fake crying as usual. I guess she was the one who took the blunt of the food fight as she was covered from hair to toe.

“Do I look like I care? All of you follow me now, and get the janitor to clean up the mess. And you!” She added pointing at me, “don’t even think that you are innocent. Follow me also.”

She turned and walked out of the cafeteria as we all grumbled.

“See what you caused, now we are in trouble.” Tracy said glaring at us. Aidan, British dude, Romeo and the last guy, stood up and left, after Mrs. Morgan. I stood up, and followed them, no need getting into more trouble than I am already in.

*Present time*

“DETENTION ALL OF YOU!’ Mrs. Smith yelled, at us who were all covered in food.

We cringed a bit, because she was too loud. Blondie tried to talk but was shushed by Mrs. smith.

“Not another word from any of you. I am truly disappointed, also as further punishment, after serving detention today, you all are going to clean the cafeteria, no way will the janitor suffer for what a bunch of rich spoilt kids trapped in teenage bodies did.” Mrs. Smith said as she pointed at us all to leave the office.

Ruby and I were last to leave the office, and the rest had suddenly vanished into thin air.

“Damn it, two detentions in one day, I better get going.”

“Going? Where?” I asked a bit confused.

“To the detention suite silly, you don’t expect to do your detention standing out here, do you?” Ruby asked shaking her head as she headed down the hallway.

“Did she just…. Did you just say, suite?” I asked as I jogged to keep up with her.

“Yeah, I did. That is where the rest are, they used the elevator, but I prefer the stairs. It is just directly below me.” Ruby said as I followed her, mouth agape. This is heaven, I said in my brain. Drake, you really need to get here.

We soon got to the door, it was labelled Detention Room. Ruby placed her hand on the scanner as it scanned her and the door slid open.
