Chapter 15
one month later.
Samaira was sleeping peacefully with a smile on her face... Just then her phone rang, showing "Mine Monster."
On call..
Sam: "Hello" (yawning)
Veer: "Hello, baby, wake up!"
Sam: "Very please let me sleep more."
Veer: No wakeup, please, and accept my video call on your iPad.
Sam: "Fine, wait."
She quickly took the iPad from the side table and accepted his call.
"Hiiiii baby Sam!" he wished her cheerfully.
"Hello monster," she replied while yawning.
"Ooi, lazy panda, wake up, it's 12.pm," he shouted on call.
"Monster, it's 6.30 in the morning here," she shouted back.
"So what I am your husband, itna nahi kar sakti mere liye (you can do this kuch for me)," he pouted adorably.
"Say now, Mr. Husband." "I am out," she said and sat on the bed holding the iPad.
"You are looking like a zombie chota packet," he laughed, seeing her messy hair.
"And you are looking like a giraffe-sized monkey," she said, making a grumpy pout.
"Are you going somewhere?" she asked seeing his outfit. He was wearing a white t-shirt and ripped jeans.
"Yeah, today is Sunday, so I am going out with my friends," he replied.
"Change your outfit, then go," she said.
Sam's pov..
"What whyy?" he replied, combing his hair. "Whyy ke bacche abhi batati hu?"
"Wear a full sleeve shirt then go," I said sternly.
"Why the chota packet?" he asked calmly.
"Nahi bass, change this," I pouted.
"Yaar, stop pouting first," he said.
"First, listen to me." Veer Singhania, change your outfit. I don't want any other girls to ogle at you. "I shouted in frustration.. and he made an "o" shape mouth.. his outfit was a little tight..
"Jealous much," he smirked, and I made a whatever face.
"Wait, I am changing," he said, opening his cupboard to find a t-shirt.
And here I started thinking about our happy days. It's been 1 month since he went to India. We talked every day through FaceTime or phone calls, but he wasn't beside me. I wanted to hug him but couldn't. I wanted to hide myself in his protective embrace, but I was helpless. I didn't know when tears started forming in my eyes...
"Hey Chota Packet, why are you crying?" he asked with a concern.
"Nothing is wrong, your friends must be waiting for you," I said, wiping away my tears.
"First, tell me why you are crying," he asked once again, and more tears made their way from my eyes.
"Nothing now, go na, I want to sleep," I said, and I was about to cut the call.
"Don't you dare cut the call, Samaira," he shouted at me.
"Now tell me what happened," his voice softened...
"Why is our family doing this to us?" I cried. "What is our fault?"
"Please stop crying," he said helplessly.
"I want to hug you. I want to hide myself in your embrace. But I couldn't understand why our fate is so cruel to us." I cried my heart out.
"Aadat ban gaye ho tum mere" (you have become my habit, and I am addicted to you), I confessed and looked at him, even though he had tears in his eyes.
Veer's pov.
"Aur tum mera sab kuch (and you have become my everything)" Indeed, she was everything. I can't see tears in her eyes, but I am helpless.
Just then I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in," I replied, and mom walked inside.
"Veer your dad is calling you in to study," she said, and then her eyes fell on my iPad.
"Ooh soo, you are talking to that bitch," while my palm curled into a fist.
Veer's pov..
"Ooh, so you are talking to that bitch," ooucchhh, that hurts.
"Mom, what are you saying? She is my wife," he said a bit loudly.
"And you shameless girl, what type of dress are you wearing? Koi sharam nahi hai (don't have any shame left)," she said in disgust, pointing towards my sleeveless top, and tears started forming in my eyes.
"Enough, mom, she is my wife and it's her choice; she can wear what she wants, and please stop poking your nose into my life and please kindly leave my room," said Veer coldly.
"You changed, Veer, you changed this bitch to totally trap you," she said in disgust and left, and I cut the call and cried. Veer was calling me continuously, and I wasn't picking up his calls. Why, ayyiappa (God), why are you doing this to us? What was our mistake?
Veer's pov
Now she wasn't picking up my calls. Now what to do? Then my phone beeped with a message.
Veer Please give me some time. I will talk to you later.
After reading the message, I went to my study room as Dad called me.
I knocked on the door and walked inside.
"Dad, you called," I asked.
"Yes, check this file once again," my dad said, and I nodded.
"Veer, is there any problem?" he asked..and I nodded negatively.
"I am your father. I can read your eyes," said dad.
"You love Samaira, right?" dad asked.
"She is my wife, dad, and yes, I love her..at first, I wasn't ready for this marriage, but dadi and mom forced me, and now they want me to divorce her.. What is her mistake? She is too young for all this." Dad was my best friend. I could share anything with him.
"Go to London and meet her," said dad.
"No, dad, there are lots of pending works," I replied. I want to go, but work comes first.
"I can handle that, you go," said dad.
"I will go, dad, but abhi nahi, her exams will start tomorrow, and I don't want to disturb her," I said, and dad nodded.

Sam's pov..
I dropped a message and then cried.. he must be tense, na. I think I should call him.
"Accept my call on FaceTime," I dropped a message.
"Now you are fine, right?" he asked impatiently.
"I am fine, Veer," I said with a smile.
"You are going out with your friends, na?" I asked him.
"Naah, I cancelled the plan because you were upset," he pouted. Awwee how cute he was looking when he said that.
"Aww, so cute," and he made a face.
Pov end..
"Why did you upload this picture, huh?" she glared at him, showing his picture on her phone.
"So what? Itna toh hot lag raha hu (I am looking hot)," he said innocently.
"Huh, that's very hot," she said, making a face.
"At least comment on my picture," he said.
"Yeah, comment, wait a minute," she replied and smirked.
She commented: "Stop showing off Veer Singhania and wear your shirt."
"What type of comment is this, Sam?" he said, looking at his phone.
"Accept, leave all this, your exams are starting tomorrow, na?" He asked, and she nodded.
"So all the best chota packet."
"Thank you, Monster."
"Now go start studying. We will talk later," said Veer.
"Bye, husband," she said, passing him a flying kiss.
"I love you, wifey," she said, listening.
"Someone is blushing," he teased.
"Veer," she glared at him.
"Ok bye!" he said, and they hung up the phone with a content smile on their faces.
