Chapter 16
Part 16
"Exams done, Veerrr!" she shouted on the phone.
"I am not a deaf chota packet," he said, palming his ears, and she bit her tongue.
"Sorry, sorry," she said. "Come soon, I am missing you," she pouted.
"I am missing you too, but I can't come now, sweetie, because of my new project," he said on the phone, making her sad.
"Ooh, it's ok, Veer, work comes first," she replied cheerfully, but she was trying hard not to cry.
"What's your tomorrow's plan?" he asked.
"Alina di ki haldi," she replied.
(Dii means sister, and haldi means a pre-wedding Indian function where everyone applies turmeric to the bride and groom.)
"What is kiski haldi?" he asked.
(Whose?)
"She is my dad's friend's daughter. She is getting married. So tomorrow is her haldi."
"So you are coming to India for the wedding?" he asked.
"Naah shadi London me hi hai," she pouted sadly.
(No, the wedding is happening in London only.)
"What is her would-be husband's name?" asked Veer.
"Ar..ar.. Karan..yess Karan," she replied.
"Oh ok "
They talked for some time and then hung up the phone.
____________
Next day at Alina's haldi function.
First, Ladki Wale enters inside.
Sam's pov..
"Sam, you are looking so beautiful," said Alina, and she hugged me.
"Thank you, Dii, even though you are looking beautiful," I said, breaking the hug.
"Where is my Jiju?" I asked.
"They are coming," she replied, and we started clicking selfies.
Alina Dii is talking with Mom, and I am getting bored, so I called Veer, but he isn't answering. ughhh, this boy.
"They are here. They are here." This is what I heard.. means Ladkewale are here..
Ladkewale means people from the groom's side.
We started welcoming them, then the groom came inside.
With
"Oh my hot chocolate fudge pizza and pasta groom came inside with Veer Singhania, aka Patidev," my eyes widened seeing him, and he smirked.
Patidev means husband.
"Hello, Sali Sahiba," Jiju wished
(Sister-in-law)
"Hello Jiju," I smiled..and shook hands with him.
(Brother in law)
"Please come inside," I said politely, and they came inside...
After that, my sasumom, sasurjiii, daadi, and Arvi entered with Jiju's parents.
Sasurjii smiled seeing me.. but Sasumom and Daadi were giving me disgusting looks. But why are they here?
The bride and groom sat here.

And I sat beside Alina, and Monster sat beside Jiju.
"Umm Alina, introduce me to Karwao, who is she?" the monster said to Aliya. "I soo wanted to punch him."
"She is Samaira..just like my younger sister," I smiled.
"Hiii Samaira, I am Veer Karan's cousin." Patidev holds out his hand. "Ooh, so cousin.." "Oh, how could I forget that he once told me that his one cousin is living in London?"
"Hiii Veer," he held my hand and kissed my knuckles in front of everyone. "Aayiappa, yeh ladka, itna besharam kaise hogaya." I turned and saw Sasumom and Daadi glaring at me, and my mom smiled.
(Aayiappa means God.)
Damn from when this boy became so shameless!
Alina Di's mom introduces us to Jiju and Veer's family.
I bent to touch Daadi and Sasumom's feet, but they moved back.
Ouch, it hurts.
"Who are they?" asked Daadi, pointing towards us.
"They are family," replied Alina Di's mom...
Everyone started applying haldi to the bride and groom.
"Hiii chota packet," he whispered in my ear.
"Veer behave," I glared at him.
"You are looking hot." I gave him an angry glare.
"Someone is angry," he said.
"Yess, I am angry," I said and sat beside my mom, while my dad was glaring at Veer's family. "Huh, why is my life so complicated, aayyiapaa?"
I stood up and applied haldi on Jiju and Di's cheeks, and they smiled.
"Arre Samaira "Tumne to Haldi Lagaya Nahi," said the monster...
(Samaira, you didn't apply turmeric yet.)
"I don't want to apply," I replied.
"Arre aise kaise," he said, and took haldi paste in his palm.
(Why no? You have to apply.
"Veer noo," I said, and started moving back...
"Nahi Samaira, you also have to apply haldi na," he said with a smirk. "Ohh noo, Nandu run!" I turned and started running, and he ran behind me.
Pov end...
"Veer no, please," said Samaira and started running.
"Yess Samaira," he said, and spread haldi on his face.
They ran to the backside of the venue, where no one was present...
He caught her by her duppata... and pulled her, then pinned her to the wall, making her heartbeat go wild.
(Duppata means scarf.)
"Veer what you are doing," she said, controlling her erratic heartbeat.
"I am applying haldi on your face," he replied huskily and grabbed her by her waist and rubbed his cheeks with her. And she closed her eyes and held his shoulder as her knees gave.
"Veer, leave me please. What if someone saw us like this?" she whispered, clutching his kurta.
"Not now, Sam," he replied, trailing kisses on her neck and throat.
He bit her neck, and a soft moan escaped from her mouth.
He looked up and slammed his lips on her..and started kissing her hungrily, and she moaned in his mouth..she tried to match his level of passion but failed..her nails dug into his neck as he deepened the kiss..both got their breath back after one and a half months. Veer felt something damp on his cheek.
He broke the kiss and cupped her cheeks and asked, "Hey, why are you crying?" She nodded negatively and hugged him tightly; he too hugged her back; they found peace in each other's arms.
"I missed you," she said between the hugs.
"I missed you too." He broke the hug and kissed her forehead.
"But I am angry," she said, making a grumpy pout; he pecked her pout, making her blush...
"Why?" he asked.
"Because you didn't tell me that you were coming very badly," she said.
"I thought to give you a surprise," he said..and leaned closer to her face.
"Veer," she pushed him.
"Sam, this is not done, yaar." He made a face, and she showed her tongue and turned, but to bump into none other than Veer's daadi.
"Oops, sorry, daadi," she said meekly.
"You bitch," she said, raising her hand to slap Samaira, but Veer held her hand.
"What are you doing, daadi? She is my wife," Veer said sternly...
"Yeah, your so-called wife and I am your grandmother," said Dadi.
"She trapped you, Veer. This girl trapped you." Tears started forming in Samaira's eyes.
"Daadi, not a word against her; she is my wife," said Veer a bit loudly.
"Veer baccha, I told you to marry her, but now I am telling you to divorce her, so please divorce this bitch," said Daadi, cupping Veer's cheek.
"Daadi is not a word and yes, I am not divorcing her.. she is mine.. my wife," said Veer, looking at Samaira. She smiled in tears. He wiped her tears and held her hand and left the place, leaving an angry Daadi behind.
