Chapter 45
Part 45
Veer's pov...
Angry? That's what I am right now? Confuse? Yeahh so fucking dammnn muchhh...did Samaira's father really abandon my bua in the pavilion and flee with Samaira's mother?I jerked and punched the steering wheel. Dadi said he also stole my father's dream project. Urgh! What is right and what is wrong?
I palmed my face and took deep breaths to calm myself. Maybe there is another side to the story? We just can't judge anyone after listening to one side of the story...
I closed my eyes, leaning back on the seat, and only Samaira's crying face flashed in front of me. Fuck fuck fuck fuck.I left her alone there. She was crying for me, and I, being a jerk, left her all alone to get humiliated by my family. My family said so many bad things about her, even pointing fingers at her character, and what I did was just stand there like a fucking statue.
"Happy realization, Jerk Singhania," my heart screamed in frustration.
Phone, where is my phone? I looked here and there to find my phone lying on the backseat. I quickly took out my phone and discovered that I had 16 missed calls from Samaira.
I left because I didn't want to hurt her with my words and actions because I was so angry at the time.
I mumbled to myself, "I'm so sorry, baby," and tried to call her, but her phone was turned off.
I made a U-turn and drove as fast as I could to Singhania Mansion.
I stepped inside only to find Daadi Naani and Mom sitting in the living room. I ignored them and ran upstairs to our room, but she wasn't there. I checked the balcony and then the restroom, but she wasn't there either.
I found the cupboard was slightly open. Opening it, I got shocked because her outfits weren't there. No, no, no, this can't be happening, right? She can't leave me like this.
I dashed downstairs, screaming her name like a lunatic and checking here and there."Mom, daadi, where is Samaira?" I asked impatiently.
Suddenly I felt a clutch in my hand. I turned only to get a hard slap on my cheek. I was shocked as my dad slapped me.
"Yaad aagaya ka Samaira?"Dad shouted, and I just stood there palming my cheek.
(So you finally remembered about Samaira.)
"You know what, Veer Singhania, you are a pathetic husband. You left her to get humiliated by your sick family." "I am indeed a pathetic husband. I just left her to bear all this."
"Your grandmother and mom threw her out of the house," my dad said, and my eyes widened.
"You always said you loved her, right?" "Then where were you when she needed you the most, when she was crying and looking at you with hopeful eyes, huh?" my dad shouted while I just looked down. I am hating myself for what I did with her.
"How come you did this to her fatheri?"I asked, gulping back my tears.
"I didn't do anything wrong. She was a bitch. That's why I threw her out," she said casually.
"What did she do that you always referred to her as a bitch?""She is my wife, huh, why do you hate that poor soul so much? She did so many things for this family, yet you people are just fucking ungrateful," I screamed, wiping away tears that had spilled out of my eyes.
"When everyone accused me of raping a girl, she was the one who stayed by my side; she was the one who collected the proofs; she saved me; she saved Singhania's reputation." I shouted at them, clenching and unclenching my hand to calm myself.
"She went to meet Vivian because she was close to him," mom said, "and that's where I lost my calm."
"She just went to meet Vivaan; she didn't sleep with Vivaan like your daughter," I shouted angrily. My eyes were red with tears and anger.
Mom slapped me hard and shouted, "She is your sister." "Veer, how could you say something like that to her?"
"If she is my sister, then Samaira is my wife, and I can't do partiality," I said.
"She is Pranit Mehta's daughter. He killed your baby and stole your father's dream project," daadi teased me.
"I don't know her dad's side of the story so I can't judge anyone, and still, if her dad did something wrong, then it's her dad's mistake, and Samaira is innocent here," I said, and they looked at me with wide eyes.
"Now I am going to ask her forgiveness," I said, grabbing my keys.
"You will not veer," Daadi said sternly.
"You can't stop me," I said and turned to leave. Just then, I heard Daadi's voice.
"If you leave this house now, you can't enter it ever again," Daadi said, and I stopped in my tracks.
"You will lose everything under this Singhania's name, the CEO's post, and all the luxurious things. " Daadi smirked, "As far as I know, Veer, you can't leave without sleeping in an air-conditioned room and on a soft mattress. You need everything branded, and if you leave this house, you will not be able to get these things." She completed, and I looked down.
"Leave her, Veer, divorce her, and you will get everything," Daadi said, and I laughed loudly while everyone looked at me with shocked expressions.
"I don't need these so-called luxurious things; my nandini is my peace." "I don't need this Singhania's name because my Samaira fell in love with Veer, not Veer Singhania," I said and put my phone, watch, and keys on the table.
"Veer, I will come to you and seal your bank account," Daadi threatened me once more.
"Do it. I don't need your money." I smiled and opened my wallet, taking out Samaira's photo and placing it on the table without taking a single penny.
I ran upstairs and picked up my backpack; that's the backpack that Samaira gifted me. I put my bracelet inside it and wore my wrist watch, which was also gifted by Samaira. I entered the restroom wearing my blue ripped jeans and white shirt, which Samaira also gave me 10 days ago when I stayed at her mansion for the night.I put my important documents, my certificates, and one envelope, which contains Samaira's birthday gift. I took out our photo from the frame and stuffed it in my bag.
I was about to step out wearing my sneakers and socks, but I am not Singhania, right? This all doesn't belong to me anymore. These branded shoes aren't mine anymore.
I took my slippers, which I got from the Goa flea market; actually, it's a twinning one. Samaira also had one. I wore it and went out of my room, wiping my tears.
I descended the tears and said, "If you want, you can check the bag; it contains only my important things."
They just looked at me without saying anything.
"Wait, let me show you all," I said and showed my things. "And the outfit I am wearing, and also the watch and slippers, all were gifted by Samaira; I don't take any of Singhania's things."
I turned towards dad, and he looked at me with teary eyes. "I am so sorry, dad," I mumbled, and I hugged him.
"Today I failed as a father. I can't even stop you because nothing is in my hand," dad said as I broke the hug.
"Don't say that, you're The Madhav Singhania, you can't fail, and you're the best, okay," I said, wiping his tears.
"Kahan jayega tu?" he asked.
Where will you go?
"Aap tension na lo, punjabi hu, apne vohti ko bhi toh manana hai," he says.I said this, and my father burst into tears.
You don't need to be concerned; I'll handle everything; I'm Punjabi, and I'll manofy my wife.
"All the best," my father said as he kissed my brow.
I turned towards mom and touched her feet, the same with daadi and naani, and also patted Arvi's head.
"Veer Singhania dies today, and I am only Samaira's Veer," I said with a smile, picking up my backpack and walking away without looking back.
