Chapter 64
Part 64
Days passed and I began to heal; therapy sessions were helping me, but there was still a void in me, and I was certain that someone wanted to harm me. Dad, Veer, everyone tried and is still trying to find the person behind all of this, but there was no evidence left behind to be found.
Something was wrong with Veer, which I knew; he was behaving weirdly, and I had some bad feelings about it, but I chucked it, knowing he was way too busy these days and dealing with so many things by himself, so it's better to let it be.
I was overthinking, right? Yes, I was.
"Ma'am, we have reached." I was snapped out of my thoughts by the voice of my dad's driver.
"You don't need to come pick me up from the institute; I'll manage it," I said to my dad's driver before stepping out. Yes, since last week, it was dad's driver who was dropping me off and coming to pick me up from the fashion designing institute as Veer was busy and dad didn't want me to drive myself.
"Samaira ma'am, sir, has strictly told me to pick you up after your class ends," I heard the driver saying as I set my sunglasses properly.
"I'll talk with dad," she said, and I went straight to the canteen because the class was still starting and Shraddha and Puja were nowhere to be found.
After buying an iced coffee for myself, I went inside only to come face-to-face with Jasmine, and shit not again. I was literally not in a mood to fight with her.
"Samaira Hii, how are you?" My eyes widened when she approached me and hugged me tight. I wasn't dreaming, right? What had happened to her all of a sudden?
"I am fine, Jasmine," I awkwardly answered, breaking the hug. "But I guess you aren't fine because I am not able to digest this sudden gesture of yours." I was straightforward enough to say it on her face.
"Samaira, you've done so much for me, so of course it's my turn to be good with you," she said."Thank you so much for everything, Samaira," she said, giving my hand a gentle squeeze.
Before I could ask or yell at her, my phone started to ring, and it was from Shraddha. "You can call me, I'll see you later," she said as she walked away, giving me a quick hug.
I was flabbergasted.
What a weird start to the day!
"Yeah, Shraddha, say?" I picked up the call and made my way towards the class, sipping my favourite beverage.

"It's not what it looks like. You need to give me a chance to explain." He followed her to the bedroom.
"Veer," she took a deep breath and looked at him, her eyes welling up with tears, "I trust you, but right now I need some alone time; I'm in a bit of a messed up state."She expressed to him calmly that she did not want to shout at or fight with the man she loved and still loves dearly.
"Samaira, it's--" she cut in, "when I asked you about it, you didn't answer and instead asked for a time, which I gladly agreed to, and now I need some time, which I hope you understand."Samaira explained calmly, making him take two steps back.
"You don't trust me; that's why you are leaving." She sighed at his words.
"I do trust you, it's just that I am disappointed. Give me some time, and I am going to Shraddha's house for a few days. Please spare me."
"If that's what you want," he walked a little closer, "I don't have any problem, and remember, I am here for you always and forever. You just need to call me." She nodded in return.
Veer's pov..
"Yeah, please take care of her." After talking with Shraddha, I slumped down on the bed, thinking about the drastic changes.
Flashback start..
Mr. Kapoor told me to meet in his office all of a sudden after dropping Samaira off, so I went there.
"Very finally, you're here." I nodded and sat as he told me to.
"Why did you call me here and there too so urgently?" I interrogated, "It's important, that's why." He sighed out.
"First of all, Veer, are you ready to sign the contract?" "Am I prepared?" he inquired.I guess I was, and it was better to sign the contract so that I could provide my love with a better and more luxurious life.
"I am," I said, nodding my head.
"Then let's sign the contract first, then we will talk." I agreed nonetheless, as he provided me with the original contract: "You've already read the terms in the draught one, so I guess you should sign now." He stated that he would send me the contract documents.
Though I still gave it a read once again and finally chose to sign it, he called one of his staff and gave the papers to him.
"So I guess let's start with the conversation now," he uttered, playing with the paperweight.
"Veer, you know my sister Jasmine, she's madly in love with you," my eyes widened.
"And just because of her, I hired you to sing for our label." Now what was happening? I was too shocked to react.
"She was the one who hired men to molest Samaira," my rage was out of control, and all I wanted to do was punch Mr. Kapoor; his sister hired men to harm my wife, and he was saying it casually.
"HOW DARE YOU?" I shouted, grabbing his collar. "Move back. Don't even try to be violent with me. We will talk." His voice held a warning, and I held myself back, leaving his collar with a jerk.
"She is mentally ill, and she needs treatment." I heard him say as I clenched my jaw, "You are rich enough to take her to the well-known doctor." I snapped, trying hard not to go violent.
"It's not as easy as it looks." "I tried many times and ended up hurting her; she even tried to commit suicide." Mr. Kapoor's annoyance was palpable.
I did not care how his sister was suffering; all I cared about was that she, the mad girl, tried to harm my wife.
"I had no idea she tried to harm Samaira; it's just her mental state, Veer," I chuckled at his words.
"Her mental condition, eh?" "It's better if you chained her to her bed so that she shouldn't go out and harm others." I snapped my eyes, glaring at him.
"Look, Veer, I need your help for her." The fucking audacity of this man. "Help?" How do you know that I am willing to help you? I would never I shook my head and clenched my fist.
"Just because of you, she has started healing; she is even taking her medicines on time, and..."
"Shut the fuck up! I don't want to talk about her or help her; heck, I don't even want to do any partnership with you!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, and now it was his time to chuckle.
"You've already signed the contract, and now you are bound to do this, and let me tell you, Veer, if you try to back off, then I won't take a minute to harm your Samaira." What the shit? Both my sister and brother were insane.
"So if you help me heal her, then you would get away with all this mess sooner; otherwise, you know." He sat on his chair back while I turned to leave.
I turned around and punched him in the face, causing him to fall back, his eyes widening, "You deserve it Motherfucker."And I left his cabin.
I didn't know what to do, and I was stuck here so badly that mad girl hired men to abuse my wife; my Samaira was broken because of her, and she wasn't smiling and was scared because of her.
My girl was broken and shattered by her one move.
My phone beeped with a message saying it was from Bastard Varun.
You don't have any other options. Veer, you have to help me.
I groaned, stomping my feet in frustration, and slammed my fist on the steering wheel.
Varun was such an inhumane person that there wasn't an ounce of regret on his face when he talked about his sister. He was so casual about it.
Why the fuck did I even sign the contract? Dammnniitt!!
It was all my mistake, and now I had no other chance but to agree with that bitch of a man.
Flashback end..
Grabbing my phone I dialled her father's number, and he answered on the fourth ring: "She isn't talking to me, please make her understand dad that it wasn't my fault, I was helpless." My voice broke last, and I realised I had already begun crying.
"Veer, stop crying and give her time." That's what I heard from Pranit Dad.
"This is so wrong." "I can't live like this; she should've communicated with me, but she chose to leave. This isn't right." I blubbered, wiping my tears with another hand.
Only Samaira could make me cry like a baby.
