Chapter 66
Part 66
Veer's pov..
I was pacing here and there inside my father-in-law's cabin while he was sitting on the couch casually sipping tea.
"Calm down and sit," I heard him saying while I rolled my eyes and then glanced at the wall clock.
When his phone rang, my ears perked up. "Yes, send him in my cabin," he said, dropping the phone and nodding, "Varun Kapoor is here."
"Now chill the fuck down and let me handle this," he further said to me, "and now it's getting clear Samaira got her sassiness from her dad."
I took a seat on the couch, and then there was a knock on the door. "Come in," he said, and Varun Kapoor walked in.
"Thank you so much for coming on such short notice, Mr. Kapoor," dad said, standing up and shaking his hand."Nice to meet you."
"Likewise, Mr. Mehta," he said, his gaze fixed on me."Nice to see you here, Veer," I said, rolling my eyes, wishing him to be the last thing I wanted.
"Why did you call me here?" Anything important?" Varun asked after taking a seat.
"I've got a news for you, Mr. Kapoor: you are hell bent on separating my daughter from Veer; I know your sister is mentally ill and a crazy girl, but I guess you are psychotic as well."Damn, Sasurji (my father-in-law), I love the speech you just gave.
"A psychopath, to be precise," I agreed with my father-in-law, aka dad.
"What is all this?" Varun shouted, getting up from his seat. "My sister isn't mad, and Veer, you made a mistake by telling everything to your father-in-law and breaching the contract; now the consequences won't be in your favor." He went on threatening me while I was sitting calmly fisting my palm.
"Mr. Kapoor, talk with me, not with my son," dad said as he stood up as well. Did he just refer to me as his son? .. "You are saying your sister isn't mad, huh?" "Well, look at this," Dad said, displaying all of the videos he received from his spy on the big screen TV.
And damn, Varun's expression was worth watching, from anger to shock and then turning pale.
"Varun Kapoor's sister and the 50% owner of the J.V. Music Label behave like total lunatics inside the house," Dad said, evoking him even more while he and I stood still.Damn, I was enjoying the show going on in front of me.
"What if I made all of these clips public?" Dad asked, a warning laced in his voice.
"You can't and you won't." That's what Varun said.
"Oh, try me, Mr. Kapoor; I am not a teen who will threaten you; your sister did the worst to my daughter, and here I am still talking calmly to you, but you know what I will do? I will make it public, then damn, and that will be enough for J.V. Music's demise." Dad handed me hi-fi, and we both laughed at his pale face.
The world's best decision was to tell everything to Dad.
"Can we just sit and talk calmly?" And now, finally, that bastard came to the point.
"Now you are talking sanely, Mr. Kapoor; kindly sit and we will talk," Dad said, smirking all these ways.
"So Mr. Kapoor "You and your sister did enough sh*t, so now you will do as I say; otherwise, you know." Varun Kapoor was nothing in front of Dad; he was more successful, and he was capable of buying J.V. Music in seconds.
"You must send your daughter to an asylum or any type of therapy or medication she requires so that she can be away from my daughter and Veer," Dad stated.
"She isn't fine, and just because of Veer, she is healing." His words were enough for me to let out a frustrated sigh. Dad nodded and told me not to lose my cool.
"Firstly, Veer isn't a babysitter for your sister."
"Neither do I want to be one," I added to dad's sentence.
"I am giving you five days to do anything you want, and if you fail, on the sixth day you will see me destroying your company," he said, and that was the end of the discussion.
____________
4 days later.
"He told me to help him," I expressed to my sasurjii (father-in-law) who was busy making the drink for himself.
"Do it, and I know we won't be able to backstab us." That's what he answered.
Varun had called me and asked me to help him because he wasn't able to tackle his sister, and now I had to agree because now I had permission and I couldn't wait to get away from her.
"Ok, then," I uttered.
_______________
"What's good in Samaira?" "Why can't you love me the way you love Samaira?" "Oh damn, her crap was making me angry, but I was controlling, not wanting to create a scene here."
"Veer, I promise I'll keep you happy and give you all the fame and money," I stammered as she hugged me tightly.
Veer simply pushed the syringe against her neck, and she passed out; I took the syringe from my jeans and pushed it against her neck, and she collapsed on the floor in seconds.
As by plan, when she woke up the next day, she found me on the floor. I was acting like I was no more, and the blood was coming out of my mouth and head.
Varun had said that he would handle the other thing, and I had to believe in him. "Veer," she yelled as I noticed she was running towards me.
"No, Jass, don't touch him. He is no more." It was Varun's voice.
"What are you saying?" "Are you out of your mind, bhai?" "Ugh, it was so loud and sounded so awful," she asked, and I tried hard not to make any expression in her voice.
"Yes, Jass, it was you last night. You killed him. I was about to stop you but it was too late." Varun was sounding convincing.
"No, you are lying. I don't remember anything." She said, her voice breaking, "Let me see him."
"No, Jass, don't go near his body. The police will be here anytime, so it's better if you don't touch him. I don't want your finger prints on him."
"No, no, no, how did all of this happen? I killed him. I killed my Veer. "My Veer, huh, my foot. This witch. I hate her more than I hate any other person.
"Jass, you know right, he is the son of The Madhav Singhania and the son-in-law of The Pranit Mehta, and they aren't backing down from taking action, so it's better if you leave this city now, and then I will arrange your visa so that you leave India as well," Varun said as her cries became more frantic.
"It can't happen, I killed him, I killed my love," she kept repeating.
I so wanted to get up and say, "Bitch, you don't love me, it's all your psychotic obsession."
"Jass, you need to stop crying first and come on, you need to leave this place. Go straight to the airport with your tickets and everything has been arranged; my driver will accompany you."
After like 5 minutes, she left.
"You can get up now, Veer." I opened my eyes and stood up after comprehending Varun's words.
I wiped away the fake blood and let out a sigh.
"What if she comes back again?" I came straight to the point.
"She won't this time; she'll get the treatment because she thought she killed you, and I know she's bad, but killing someone scared her, so she'll take her health seriously."Varun explained everything.
"And the contract was now meaningless, right?"I asked, being unsure.
"You still have one song to record, Veer, and the advance is still available if you don't want this contract," he said, rolling my eyes.
"See you in the studio next week," and I left.
Flashback end..
Everything had gone as per plan; Varun was successful in sending her out of Mumbai, and she would be out of India soon. I was happy and so thankful to God and my sasurji.
(Father in law) was the best because he stood by my side and helped me as if I were his own son.
I was so happy that day, but when I got home, I got to know that she knew she had the pictures of Jasmine hugging me, the pictures she got from her dad's cabin. I tried to make her understand, but she chose to leave, and now it was going out of my hands. All I wanted was her beside me. I would give her one more day to come to me, and if she refused then I would go to kidnap her.
Hearing the phone ring, my eyes shot up, and I was surprised to see the caller ID.
