TROUBLE.
LAMAS'S POV(Present Day):
If there was anything that I was so keen on presenting, it was certainly the new AI invention my company made And here I was, looking up at the stage where it didn't necessarily have to be presenting anything, they could all just watch it themselves. The guests gathered as the image of my newest creation projected into the atmosphere. I heard gasps everywhere because everything changed, even to the colour of the hall. The images rolled like they were alive as it was being presented to the guests. They all seemed intrigued by this invention and I was more than satisfied to see the awe on their faces. Of course, it was unlike anything the company had ever created. We release new gadgets every year, each one better than the last. It was something we never could get old with because if the people loved it, who were we not to build a better one for them? Lamas Tech_ins has been commended by many industries and individuals. We always got referrals due to our customer-satisfying services. We always tried to make the world better and that was what we continue to do, today.
When the AI was done presenting, the guests clapped as an image of me was projected. I smiled at myself, shifting my gaze before it unintentionally met a pair of hazel green eyes.
"I hear you have a very brilliant worker Mendez." I turned to see one of my allies of course. We clinked our glasses. "And I must say she's very hot too. Is there a way you can link both of us up this evening?" I was the proud owner of so many tech companies and it had become a tradition to celebrate the success of these companies once every six months. Speaking about the lady, I knew she was listening to both of us right now because of the chuckle I heard from the other end. And to be honest, I wasn't ready to give her away to anyone. She wasn't for free.
"Yeah but you would have to do way more than link up, trust me," I said, gesturing with a raise of my glass.
Augusta has consistently been monitoring a man that I'd long known to be the man in charge of her father's company. I knew she wasn't about to give up any time soon. I glanced over at the man, speaking with her like he was a good person. Over the months Augusta had spent so much of her time researching about this man and honestly, she needn't search so much because I had all his information already. If she wanted revenge, she could just come to me. But of course, these days she had been so focused on what she wanted to do. I couldn't even believe I was getting worried over stuff like that. I strode past the man I was speaking with towards Augusta.
"How has it been with you Philip? You both seem entrenched in your conversation. Hope I'm not a bother?" Augusta was about to speak but Philip beat her to it.
"No, you're not. I was about to leave anyway." He said and I observed him, trying to pick any sign of discomfort, but I found none. Instead, he had a little smirk on his face.
"I see. Then perhaps I should see you out then." I insisted but he shook his head.
"No bother at all. I'll see you next time." He stated giving Augusta a glance before leaving.
"What the hell did you say to him?" I questioned and she cocked a brow at me.
"I only asked him some questions. What's wrong with that?" She cocked a brow at me.
"You know, if you need some information about him, you can always come to me," I said to her but she seemed to disregard me on that. Then I gripped her arm. "You don't walk out on me when speaking to you."
"What are you? My father?" She tried to pull her hand away but I wasn't having that in any history. I don't take no disrespect. She looked up at me with wide eyes. I pulled her close to me so she only could hear me.
"You're not telling me something I need to know. You've been doing things all by yourself these past few days. I know there's something you're hiding from me." I said, gripping her hand closer.
"You have to stop this Lamas." She stated and I pulled her with me into a corridor and behind a pillar.
"You are hiding something from me," I said, my blood boiling. I had anger issues. This was the side of me she was always scared of. And I loved it, because she only feared two people in her entire life.
"I'm not." She lied.
"Perhaps you want me to bring the truth out of you," I said, gripping her neck but only slightly to inform her of what was going to come. She swallowed, looking at me. "What did you ask him?"
"It doesn't concern you, Lamas." She said.
"Every fucking thing about you concerns me Augusta! If you don't tell me, you'll be praying to any god you know the moment we get back home because I'll be fucking the shit out of you and I'll fucking enjoy every moment of it. But you?" I caressed her cheek. "How would you feel?" She shuddered when I palmed her cheek. "From the look in your eyes, you prefer that don't you? Then to tell me the truth?" I looked at her in the eyes and truthfully she did. Oh, we're going to be having a whole lot of fun tonight.
The show was almost over, so I went up to thank the guests for coming before they all began to leave one by one. I got so many handshakes as usual, with people trying to speak to me, but my eyes were on Augusta, who had left the hall. I chuckled internally. Does she think she can escape me? I took my time to discuss with the guests and answer their questions, before heading out of the hall as well. When she was nowhere in sight. I checked my phone to see her location. Just as I expected, she was heading straight to the house. I texted her.
'You better be ready for me before I get home. I want to see you on the bed, naked. You know better than to tease me this night don't you?' I sent the text and entered my car. The driver started the engine and zoomed to my mansion. I looked at my message and saw she hadn't replied to me. A brow cocked because it made me curious about her whereabouts. I looked and checked her location again to see she wasn't heading for my house she was heading towards...what the fuck?!
Oh now she was in a lot of trouble.
