Deja Vu
Lamas' POV:
I stepped into the company and had a sense of Deja Vu. The atmosphere and everything about this place was the same, with people gathered in one tech room working on one thing or another. I glanced into the rooms as I strode past them. When I got to my assigned tech lab, the first person I noticed was, of course, Augusta. She seemed so occupied with it. She still seemed mad at me for what I did the other day and I did want to make it up to her. I sat in front of my computer, trying to find any traces of Elena. I know and honestly, I had no freaking idea why I was so obsessed with her. Yeah of course she was still staying with Derek but she wouldn't be for so long would she? Her current photos were not on the internet and I understood why.
If it was figured that she wasn't dead, the mafias would go crazy. Of course, Damon was supposed to have killed her but he didn't. I leaned back as I continued to stare at my computer screen. Of course, I could make this work for myself if she would just listen to my warning. The news that she was still alive could go viral on the mafia platform if she doesn't conform. And of course, it was all thanks to Augusta for inserting the CCTV camera in their living room. It served as pure evidence for me. I looked over at Augusta who was occupied with what she was doing on her laptop. I clicked a spot on my system to see what it was she was doing and noticed that she was searching for ways to get to the new owner of her father's company. Smart to have attached a tracking device to him when he was distracted. She must have put it on somewhere it would stay still like his hair. I cocked a brow as I watched her eyes tracking everything that he was doing. She was so hell-bent on getting at him. She never listened to me because I had the news that she wanted. I typed away on my computer.
Jonathan Gravestone is a cunning mafia man. I had all his deeds imprinted on paper. Using it against him only depended on how much Augusta trusted me though. Jonathan...there was a high chance that Derek hadn't been the one to murder her parents. Yes, he may be part of 'The Five ' but that didn't mean he was involved in the death of anybody's family.
Funny how he never denied it though when she accused him of murdering her family. He didn't even try to explain himself. I heard every part of their conversations with the Bluetooth in her ear that day. But Gravestone right here...with the tattoo on his hand was also part of 'The Five'. And when I tried to link her family up, I realized he worked under her father for some time. Now this was where it got all suspicious. This man has solely worked beside Augusta's father for seven years and he was the closest to her father. I would have said perhaps her father had given him the will to the company but I also found out from Augusta that her father's will can never be found unless the lawyer himself shows up. He had given no rights to this man to even take the company. And the funniest thing? The authorities investigated the entire out they did find a symbol. Just like the one on Jonathan's wrist. I'd spoken to Jonathan one-on-one and even worked with him. He was a good business partner, but I had always known there was something off about him. I looked over at Augusta again. She didn't know the truth yet, still believing it was Derek who murdered her parents, and I supported that belief because I wanted her to grow out of love with him so she could see clearly, but it wasn't working. It seemed as though she didn't even want to believe that Derek did such a thing, that's the reason she hadn't murdered him yet. I sighed. I watched as Christophe worked over to her.
"You seem to be struggling with something. Need help with that?"
"Yes." She stated. "Many of the codes require reverse strings. For example, all of these require the palindrome method, which is more algorithmic, so the reverse string is also required, then the virtual and formatting and text processing." She pointed as she explained. "If you know how to use the reverse strings, then this shouldn't be that big of a deal for anyone. But there are faults with the codes and the strings as well, making it difficult to figure out what to do next. It just has to be fixed, and I mean everything, from the beginning." She emphasized and I nodded. How she managed to switch that fast was pretty amazing.
"Oh, I see. That's the work of the staff though. You take it upon yourself to make these projects perfect and I have to commend you for that." He said and she smiled at that. I cocked a brow but turned to what I was doing. When he left, she continued with what she was doing on her system. Oh? So that's how she was going to do it? Why the fuck was she checking out Damon's clubs? Oh...there was an invitation for only a few mafias to attend. My brows slowly rose, I knew what she was up to. No wonder why she was in so much of a hurry to go to work this morning. She had plans and they were ungodly. I glanced down at the ring on her finger and then up back at her before facing what I was doing.
Damon certainly had a meeting with the mafias. Who knew what he was up to this time? He never called for meetings. Ever since Elena abandoned him...oh let me rephrase that, ever since he betrayed Elena, he had been quite intentional about so many things. I had the feeling he was also trying to get her back because the last time we shared a glance which was at the ball thrown for him, I could still see he was fucking obsessed with her. The way he stared at her as she was with Derek, he could have killed his brother there and then. And here I was too, I didn't think I was going to give up on Elena anytime soon. Something about her made me go crazy. Was it the amount of times we had sex? Or was it the fact that she seemed so scared of me because I had no mercy whatsoever on that pretty and chubby flesh of hers? Somehow I wanted that body in my hands again, and this time, I wanted it forever. Damon and Derek had had their fun. Now she was fucking mine.
