Mysterious Death 2; Jessie's Diary
ELENA'S POV;
"What are you doing here?" I asked, and his gaze came up to me before he put his phone inside his pocket. His eyes were neutral as they stared back at me. I had to say that he had been acting a bit weird lately. I furrowed my brows when it seemed as though he had gotten a new tattoo on his neck. I tried to get a better view of it but his outfit was really not helpful.
"Hey." That didn't answer my question but whatever.
"Hi." I noticed the bandage in his hand. "What happened to your hand?"
He glanced at his hand, and then at me again, and his hand again before he shook his hand as though it was nothing.
"Just a few bruises I got a few days ago." He nonchalantly replied.
"Oh," I said, before turning in my locker's direction.
"Leo." I heard Aiden call but didn't bother turning. Instead, I walked over to my locker to get what I needed, and then left, not wanting to listen to their conversation.
That evening, when Leo and I were together only I could see the discomfort on his face. They weren't always like this. Today was oddly different. And this caused worry to swell within me, I knew whatever they were hiding involved me in it, it was obvious, but I said nothing, only to watch them with bewilderment.
"Jessie...."
No response.
"Brianne was taken to the hospital yesterday." He finally said. My brows furrowed with widened eyes. What did he mean she was taken to the hospital? Did she fall sick? But all these days, she seemed perfectly fine.
"Today, she.....she was unable to make it....so, she died." He stuttered. It was the first time I had ever seen Leo stutter.
No response came from me.
"Leo, what are you talking about?" I was trying to process what she had said.
"She's dead, Brianne is dead, your best friend....is dead." She said that last part in a whisper, although loud enough for me to hear.
I almost laughed, it sounded like a joke to my ears to hear my best friend was dead. That's impossible. It is impossible, I couldn't believe that. My parents were fond of tricking me into believing things at times, and what hurt me terribly was the fact that this case felt so different, their faces looked so sincere. I no longer took this as a joke. My heart raced faster than ever. This couldn't be true, this was not true....
The loud call of my name fell on deaf ears as I ran as fast as I could. Brianne wasn't dead, Brianne couldn't be dead. I reached her house, which appeared so quiet, which was unusual, the appearance of this house was different from what I used to know it as. It appeared dull. Without Brianne what I'm I to do with my life? How would I live without Brianne? I walked up, before knocking on the door to Brianne' parent's house.
The door was finally opened, revealing a depressed-looking face as his eyes bore down to mine. Her father, Jacob looked really unsettled, his brown hair ruffled in a messy way, and a little change in his clothing. I didn't know what to say, because it was as though he had been crying all day with those blood-red eyes.
My eyes blurred, and the tears rolled freely down my cheeks. That moment I knew Brianne, my Brianne is dead.*******
A mysterious death. Funny how this had taken place long ago and Jessie's still searching for the man that killed her best friend. Or woman. I guess she didn't want to hand this case over to the authorities because she wanted to deal with the murderer on her own. Perhaps Brianne's parents had even explained the whole situation to the agents but Jessie, from what I knew, would rather do it her own way. But then, no one could tell who the murderer was. But what if it turned out to be someone she trusted? Just saying. I really hope not.
There came a knock on my door.
"It's been 48 hours since you last left your room, Elena. Should I be worried?" Antonio said from the other side of the door. I cocked a brow. It was very unusual of him to knock.
"It's quite unusual for you to knock. Should I be worried?"
"Touche." I heard his chuckle before he entered the room and closed the door.
I looked up at him because the moment he laid his eyes on me, he paused. Yes, I hadn't been out of my room, so I didn't see a reason why I should have any form of decency. My nightie was a see-through and I didn't care...well not till now.
He nodded in approval as he looked at me while I studied him. He was wearing more casual outfits since the last time I saw him. Now this one was sweats. He really looked good in those sweatpants especially.
"What did you come here for?" I gently sat up making sure he noticed my full breasts. Things I've noticed, he could barely get his hands off my titties and I loved it.
"I should have guessed that you'd be a naughty femme fatale." He growled. I loved the sound so much. "And in as much as I'd love to eat you for breakfast. There are pressing matters we need to tend to." He stated and I furrowed my brows.
"What is that?" I asked as I sat up. His eyes dropped down to my titties again and I literally watched as they darkened. He was trying hard to control himself, I could sense it. And to say I'd added a little weight these past few days, with the training I'd been doing, really helped to enhance my figure, both bust and ass.
"It's about Derek. This time, you can go to his apartment. And before you say anything, he called. Again."
